[Q] Custom Rom 4.4.2 gapps help

Hi there,
I have just installed the cm-11-20131226-UNOFFICIAL-p990 custom rom on my LG P990
what is running great. But I have some notice what I would like to share.
First of all the camera is blinking and sometimes goes to upside down when moves fast the screen.
There are two phone icon in the settings menu.
And how can I setup the button lights to change the its colors how I setup that ?
These are things what I noticed about this rom.
Can somebody help me with a gapps install to fix these problems?
I hope I have written in the right forum about this.
Thanks the answer/s/.
Best regards,
Lewis
Hey there, the camera problem is a known one and at the moment is not solved. About leds, i do believe our device has only white ones, so we can't change the colors. Only possible change is brightness, that can be changed in kowalski manager. The ROM has gapps included, so if you need more, use playstore.

Hi mate,
Thanks for the light up.
I didn't know that for hundred percent this phone has just white light.
I can live without that.
So we must wait for the camera fixing.
Sorry I mean the gapps these problems fixing.
Or its just solve with a newer installation, not just a smaller file what is fixing these problem/s/?
Thanks again.
Have a nice day!
It's not the gapps that cause this problem. We've just to wait for pengus to fix that. Pay attention, that kowalski kernel is in alpha state, so such problems are not surprise.

But why should it fix the problem with arter?
I mean.. that problem maybe is not releated to the level of brightness, but to the behavior of brightness sensor that doesn't work well.
I'm asking to ubderstand. I'd really like getting rid of this f***ing bug and finally use arter kernel.

Its kernel and rom related as Arter kernel uses DPDP sources it suffers that bug. New ROMs its fixed on both sides kernel and rom. But the custom kernels still uses old sources. Needs to wait new compilations
It works until you open a photo with gallery app

Color calibration MIUI 9

Hello everyone. I have a mi5 with burn-in problem. I changed the rom to Lineageos and managed to set the colors blue, green and red to 95%, this solved the problem, but I would like to continue in the MIUI 9. Is there any configuration I can do to stay the same? I know custom kernel is required but there's not any single custom kernel... yet, so anyone can help me? Maybe some file to flash throw TWRP?

Thanks for solving my burn in problem! On that note, I'd like to mention that it doesn't happen on MIUI probably because it is properly calibrated for the Mi5 from the beginning (unlike LOS).
Actually it happens to me on MIUI 9 so yes, still happens on MIUI roms

Hey , I ain't on miui but I would like to know how you calibrated the screen and got rid of the ghosting/burn ins. I am on Viper OS based on lineage.
MI5
Yep. I have that problem too and I resolve with LOS because have colour calibration menu

Wi-Fi problem on custom roms

Hello guys! I have a problem. I installed a custom rom on my Redmi Note 9 (crDroid 7.4). When I lock the screen, my phone disconnects from the Wi-Fi. When I wake the screen, it connects back. Any solutions for this problem?? It's really, really annoying because I checked every setting, and I can't fix the problem. And the notifications are f'd up...
Did you try to change the properly settings for that?

Yes I checked the proper settings. I checked battery saver, Wi-Fi settings, everything really. But the problem is still there.

Known issue on the stock kernel, try any other kernel and check, other workaround is to enable AOD (AOD on IPS is weird I know but that's the only workaround until it's fixed in the tree lol)

Can't really find any custom kernels, not on github or anywhere. So should I try the AOD thing? I think it won't fix the thing, because AOD not really works on Redmi Note 9 as I think you know.

Checked out again, there's an overclocked kernel which I won't recommend, and then there's Dream kernel which doesn't fix this issue. We'll try to fix this issue in upcoming builds tho, stay updated.
