Automatically forward text messages?

I have a Nexus One with Tmobile as my main cell-phone. I received a Sprint HTC EVO 4G from the Google IO conference. I want all of the text messages I receive on my Nexus One to AUTOMATICALLY forward, as text messages, to my Sprint EVO smartphone. Is this possible? If so, how do I set this up?

Another way you can go about it is forward the sms as email and set the program to not mark as read.
Edit: This is referring to a 3rd party program from the market. There are a few, try some and see what you think.

This is a good time to mention Google Voice, for anyone who might be unaware of it's powerful awesomeness. As of a few months ago, I've fully switched over and I am loving it. If you're going to have two phone numbers for a while (or even if not), you would be a prime candidate for Google Voice.

I already have google voice. Everyone with a Nexus One has Google voice. I do not want to make people switch to my new google voice number, and Google voice has nothing to do with what I want to accomplish anyhow. The point of the thread is how to make an android phone automatically forward text messages, AS TEXT MESSAGES, to another phone. Do you know how to do that? If so, please share it with us.

If you did forward them as text messages, they would just come back as sent from your phone. The solution I gave works better because they will apear as SMS From:xxxx.

Update...
A friendly fellow on another android message board system tipped me off to SMS Forwarder in the android marketplace. I installed it on my Froyo Nexus One, and it works like a charm.
However, I hope there is a way to do this internally in android, instead of requiring a third-party application.

The SMS Forwarder application shows where the forwarded text message originally came from.

I was saying it might be beneficial to consider using GV for texting in the future. If it's such a huge deal to switch for you, then fine forget it. But it's still information for others who might be reading, which is why I specifically said "for anyone" / "everyone". This is a public forum after all.
and Google voice has nothing to do with what I want to accomplish anyhow.

Google Voice allows you forward text messages to two (or any number) of phones.
The point of the thread is how to make an android phone automatically forward text messages, AS TEXT MESSAGES, to another phone. Do you know how to do that? If so, please share it with us.

No there isn't.

The absolute best way to get SMS forwarding is through your carrier. But that'll depend on whether your carrier cares enough to add such a feature. Rogers in Canada just added it.

- It's a public forum, but my initial question was very specific. You nearly de-railed the thread.
- I did a quick search, in fact I did an extensive search on these boards and on the net. I couldnt find any answers so I posted here.
- My very specific question asked how to automatically forward a text message from my Nexus One phone to my Sprint EVO phone. Forwarding from a google voice number to other phones was never the right answer, and you know it. Why people insist on inserting themselves into internet message board questions, when they know they don't actually have the correct answer, is beyond me.

A VERY quick search on the market brought up some results you were looking for.
And people usually insert themselves even if it's not the exact answer the OP might have been looking for because the OP might not know about the idea, and decide that fulfills his/her needs for the situation. Why people insist on giving douche responses on internet messaging boards when people are merely trying to help them is beyond me.

My son ODed on 11.17.14. I have been looking over his phone for some time. In a moment of utter stupidity I deleted all SMS messages. Links from me, his mother, his sibling and his friends. I have been looking online for ways to recover msgs. Dr. fone appears to be one of the best but does not work on his phone. It appears it would work if the phone was rooted. I have downloaded and installed towelroot. The app says the phone is not supported. I have found and used the three Mod string modifiers. the app still says the phone is not supported. I even went to the ATT device support center and they said they could not help. Please anyone, help me recover my son's messages. Its the last words I will ever have from him.

Download AT&T messages if it is not already installed. After you log in it will start downloading all of the logs, sms, calls, etc.

I truly do not intend to be callous in this situation, but I will make a few points here and some may be helpful.
1) I don't know who you are, and since I do not know you, I cannot be certain of your motives for even trying to retrieve deleted messages. If you have truly lost someone and your motives are as simple as they appear in your firt message, my heart goes out to you and I wish you all the best in trying to retrieve your son's messages. I only say this because I would not even attempt to retrieve deleted messages for someone if they were doing it for spiteful or illegal reasons (Example: Jealous lover, disgruntled employee, etc.). There are probably more illegitimate reasons to retrieve another person's messages than legitmate ones. I am guessing that is why you will have a difficult time finding someone to help you with this directly. I am not an attorney, but even helping you to retrieve deleted messages sounds like a slippery slope.
2) You may be able to get an attorney to petition AT&T for a record of the messages. I believe that they have to keep them for a certain period of time for legal reasons. I'm not sure how accessible the messages will be. I remember trying to get a copy of one of my own messages (many years ago), and I wasn't able to get it from them. I know that messages are subpoenaed in court, but you might have to involve a judge to get them.
3) If your son used Hangouts for messaging (not the stock messaging app), you may be able to get the messages through his Google account. You might be able to ask Google for his password. I suspect that it would invole contacting Google and send them an official copy of the death certificate. I doubt that it would be easy.
4) It is possible that you could something wrong and brick the phone. In other words, you would never get anything off of it.
5) Consider the possibility that the messages may really be gone forever. Some things in the digital world offer the ability of recovering from "Oops!", but some things are meant to be deleted permanently. I am not trying to be a pessimist. All I am trying to do is counter the notion that everything is hackable and data is never really lost.

I don't think your being callous, just pointing out things i didn't consider.
1) It never occurred to me that that the post would be interpreted as nefarious. I know using names instead of handles is not very common, but if you wish you can look up his obit in the Baton Rouge Advocate. His name is William McCardle. My name is Douglas. I can be found at the number listed above in the same city. I'm not an attorney either, but I don't believe providing information on rooting a phone would lead to any type of prosecution. The service for all four numbers on the family plan are in my name.
2) I took the phone to the ATT device service center. I assumed if it was possible to retrieve msm from their servers they would have advised me there. But maybe not. I will contact ATT directly and/or consult with the family atty.
3) Hangouts is on the phone, but doesn't appear to have any msgs. Nothing is in Archives. The msms icon was one of the four permanent icons at the bottom, so I assume it is the stock messaging app.
4) I have copied/backup the device to Kies 3 and copied all photos to my computer. Even if the phone is bricked, it is worth the risk to get the msms back.
5) Its good you pointed out that not all data is recoverable. I was aware that even an App was able to retrieve msms, that some may be corrupted or overwritten due to reuse of the memory space.
6) Lastly, my motives are just that simple.

The App AT&T messages will recover just about every message sent and received from the line.
I don't recall if it recovers MMS messages.
It should be on the phone already. If not you may be able to download in he play store.
I used it once when I was going to be out of a service area. Connected to WiFi and used the app. While using the app it seemed to download every message ever sent and received. Took forever and I could not stop it.

Thanks to those who replied. Installed the att msgs app and all the texts have been downloaded.
Just wish I had followed the advise on the 3rd when it was first suggested.

Any app that can log all phone activity?

Ok long story short having trouble with one of my kids, I have an app (couple tracker) installed that allows me to see location, sms, and Facebook messages, but what I need is and app that can basically log all activities that I can install and hopefully password protect. I'm mainly looking to see what all email addresses get logged into via apps and Web browsers. And would also like to know what websites my kids been visiting. App does not have to be hidden but needs to be to where I can install it and it can't be tampered with.

Well first off, there is no such thing as installing something that is beyond tampering. Especially not with a Nexus -- these things are DESIGNED FOR tampering.
At the moment, I'm not aware of any system developed in this manner to offer the type of monitoring that you are proposing.
One of the big issues with this, is that in order for it to work in a user friendly manner, it would actually require that EVERY application be modified to cooperate with it.
Otherwise, you're stuck basically with remote access and digging through system logs and application databases manually.
It is also worth noting that certain applications like the web browsers actually have privacy modes (some people call them "porn" mode) where they won't actually log activities.
The reason why sms can be relayed using the program you found, is that the sms database is system-level, not application-level. It is designed so that you can choose your own sms front-end, while leaving the complex telephony software at the root of it, all alone.
By the sounds of things, the problem you are having with your kid is beyond what you can deal with by adding controls and monitors to his/her phone. Since the kid knows you are watching, they WILL find alternative means of making those communications that you clearly don't want happening -- the ones you are watching for. You are going to have to find a better way to deal with this.

You want a keylogger, I've never used one on Android but a quick search popped this up http://www.vagueware.com/keylogger-software-for-android-phones/
Not sure if any work, search around for keylogger and find out you feel comfortable to try on your phone. Good luck

Using Google Home as an auto reminder for Elderly parents living away & alone

I am interested in placing a google Home mini in my old parents home and have it remind them of tasks and activities they should be doing every day.
Once the time of the task is over, ask them simple canned questions like did you do it? did you go there? was the task completed? and based on the answer to log the results in a table I will create to follow up on them living the plan we put together.
Their daily plan will be in an online table list of activities I will be creating as an excel table on a weekly basis.
The initial challenge is to turn a task list into scheduled reminders that will be read out loud at the set times on their mini speaker.
The other Challenge is to ask if the tasks was completed and the score they gave to it and and log it in the table I will read daily.
Is someone here familiar enough with Google home to help create the solution?

Hello, I think that your question is very interesting.
I don't have much experience with google home but what you are trying to achieve should be doable.
I think that you could schedule a custom routine (https://support.google.com/googlehome/answer/7029585?co=GENIE.Platform=Android&hl=en) that triggers a custom action (that will handle the conversation to acknowledge the task and store this information in your online excel table). The most tricky part is obviously the custom action. I think that you have at least 2 options here:
1) writing you custom action with the Action SDK (https://developers.google.com/actions/sdk/), mainly in Javascript creating a Node.js app running for example on Firebase (aka Google cloud).
2) using a platform called dialogflow (https://dialogflow.com/) to create the action without programming.

Tips for "Procedural app"?

I've started working from home from March, and been in 3 different skills in less than 2 months, and probably, going to be in other one, and Im not getting the right feedback or instructions from my superiors about how to make my job correctly and not lose money or gettin punish for something I have not been taught
So I came with the idea to create an app in which I could select the primary data/options and then get the procedure/steps to solve my task without losing time (like a mini game to provide background info and then have the answer of what to do.
Ex of Primary Data: "Number of products to cancel", "Type of order: Pick up/Delivery", "Store of origin: Main/Other", "Costumer wants to cancel?: Yes/No"
After all the background data has been selected/stablished, text will appear to tell what are the steps to take according to the previous data entered.
Ex Answer Procedure: "Proceed to cancel the order, notify the dealer from the main store and proceed with the cancellation. Close the case"
So here goes the main question: What topics I must learn in order to be prepared to make this app as simple as possible with Android Studio? Is there any course that covers up this idea? What you guys suggests?
