I have insert microsd on adapter, on a cel, on a notebook, but nothing has can format the memory. The device is not supported. Why?
What kind of card and card reader you're using? If it is microSDHC card, make sure it is FULLY compatible w/ the card reader.
My laptop and peripheral readers do not accept a microSD of any size above 2 gigs. All have been updated to no avail.
The latest 8 gig Sandisk microSD will format by using the Sandisk "MicroMate USB" read/writer plugged into a USB 2 port. I need to use the adapter (microSD to SD) as well as their MicroMate adapter.
Mack
Mack5305 you have reason! You are the best! I have insert my microsd of 4gb in the sd adapter and next i have inserted the sd adapter in MicroMate adapter and the card is read correctly!! I have format her!! Very thanks!!
Hi,
Is there any way to read a memory card from the TD's mini USB port. I have a small device that has a mini USB on one end and a USB on the other, inside this there is a micro sd card (I have pulled this out slightly, to show where it is). I can charge my TD with this device and I can see the memory card via normas USB but can't access the memory card from my TD, any ideas??
Thanks
The diamond does not have any USB host drivers, except in the bootloader, so it won't work.
USB OTG HOST ADAPTER CABLE not supporting pen drive in my galaxy note n7000, but mouse and keyboard working properly, why pen drive not supporting? please help me..
Is your pen drive FAT32 or NTFS? The note does not natively support NTFS. Format you drive as FAT 32, and try again. If it mounts, then good. You can also have a look here if you want to use NTFS.
I have purchased a new Galaxy Tab S2 with the idea of using it to transfer photos from my DSLR when I travel. Tried it out and was disappointed to find out that there is an annoying snag. Here is the sequence of events
Moved my class 10 micro SD from my Sony Tablet to the S2
No problem, I can review all folders and content on the card.
Connected my Pentax K30 with a class 10 16gig SD card on board using the Pentax supplied USB cable and an adapter (non Pentax) to match the USB port on the S2, camera set to PTP
the S2 reports that the SD card is corrupt.
Removed the SD card from the camera and connected using an SD card reader
the S2 reports the card as Pentax USB, but displays two of them with identical names
When I open the file it displays the directory of the INTERNAL MICRO SD card and not the directory of the SD card in the card reader?
If I remove the internal micro SD card
the S2 connects correctly both through the camera direct connect and through the card reader correctly
If I replace the internal micro SD card with a class 4 card
the S2 connects correctly both through the camera direct connect and through the card reader correctly
There seems to be conflict running two class 10 cards at the same time on an S2, what gives?
Eh, what file format? ExFat, Fat32 or NTFS?
NTFS is not supposed on Samsung stock ROM.
Hi, all,
I bought a USB-C Hub with a SD Card Reader included. When I plug it into my Galaxy Tab S8 tablet, it can't recognise the SD Card (it just shows "charging USB device").
However, when I plug this same USB-C Hub into my Galaxy S21 Ultra phone, the phone can recognise the card reader and SD card and I can view the files.
I'm using the stock ROM on both the Tablet and the phone.
The Galaxy Tab information is:
- Model: SM-X700
- One UI ver 5.0
- Android 13
* I've tried turning on Developer Options and enabling USB Debugging Mode
Hope someone can share if they encountered this and if they found the a solution.
I connect hd 4 tera and is working.. I can't think any reason why sd wont.. If sd isn't fat32, try format it in fat32 just in case..
In Android developer options change Standard USB mode from charging to Transfer Files
Consult Google for how to enable developer options in Android settings.
I've just tested it and it appears to be a problem where the Galaxy Tab s8 won't recognise both an internal MicroSD Card and the USB-C Card reader at the same time.
If I unmount my existing internal Micro SD card, the tablet is able to recognise the memory card in the USB-C Card Reader.
Both micro SD cards are formatted to FAT32.
Seems other people are facing the same problem. A bit of a disappointment....
