Need help about touchscreen

My G1 has problem in its touch screen when i press upper part of the screen then it presses downward it is the hardware problem or the software problem .
Previously I have switched ROM from HTC to Cyanogen 4.0.4. Is there any way to slove this problem.
Can you be more descriptive. I'm leaning toward hardware issue. Once you say what exactly is going on, it can be pinpointed. Always format, wipe and install.
The actual problem of G1 is that when i point the upper part of touchscreen then it won,t point the pointer there instead of were i point it goes to different location. What is the problem it software problem or hardware problem.
wipe your screen with your finger. The problem is the capacitative screen, if there are oily patches in the lower part of your screen, they usually have just enough charge for the screen to detect a touch, in roms that don't have a multitouch kernel (or places where you can't use multitouch) pressing on the top part while there's a charge on the bottom makes the screen register both touches. When you wipe with your finger, you even out the oil across the whole screen and it requires a higher charge to actually do something, but not more than that of your finger. It sucks that keeping the screen clean is so hard/detrimental (though there are capacitative-touchcreen friendly gloves if you're into that)

[Q] Digitizer Not Working!!!

Ok so i took apart my N1 to clean the notorious dust from under the screen and wiped down the amoled screen and the back of the touch screen, seems to be going good...... well when i put it back together and turn it on (it turns on ok and display works) the touch screen dont work anymore, the light sensor does work and the soft keys work, and the track ball works just not the touch screen!! I did a clean install of cm6.1 to see if that would do the trick but no luck. im pretty sure i might have rubbed the tiiiiiny grid of wires under the digitizer the wrong way and broke some of them apart cause the light sensor and proximity sensor still work. Ok my question is how do i get past the set up screen and go straight to the home screen with no touch screen and only a track ball??? I can set it up to where i can trackball to wake instead of needing the swipe screen to wake?? Please tell me how i can bypass the set up screen, Thank you.

You can always get a new digitizer from here...http://www.htcrepairparts.com/htc-nexus-one-htc-passion-c-129_677.html?language=en
I have already replaced the digitizer before and dont wanna go through that again. I just wanna bypass the setup screen and be able to use the trackball as a temporary solution till i get a new phone.

Anyone else have touchscreen problems?

The screen on the S8 is weird. Very often when sliding the finger it will touch random locations. Sliding right might cause a slide to the left. Sliding down might cause a single press in a random location. It happens a lot. And I have tested it with completely not touching the edges of the phone so it is literally just the one finger in a constant motion with no lifting at all during the touches. Anyone else have this? It's literally annoying enough to return the phone
I'm experiencing a screen issue too. Not exactly the same as yours, but an issue nonetheless. When installing an app via package installer, tapping "install" in portrait mode is no responsive. It's only when I rotate to landscape mode that the screen responds. Very frustrating.

Screen responds to s-pen without touching it

Anyone have this issue ? My s-pen can open apps and type characters on the keyboard even when not touching the screen ( about 1 centimeter away from screen ) , Also there is no pointer on the screen when i hover s-pen over screen
I had more or less the same issue time ago, with another s pen, it kept drawing for about 3 mm while not touching the screen, got another s pen, and everything fine, go claim warranty ASAP

Maybe did you drop the spen and the needle got stacked, try to remove it and use a new one, before warranty claim. I had the same issue with note 4 spen.

Touchscreen Issue - Touch Detected but not Registered

I find this very annoying, I turned on the Show Touches on Dev Mode, and when playing intense game (PUBG, Mobile Legends etc) there are detected touches but not registered.
What I mean is, when I tap on a button (take for example the fire button to fire your weapon) and lift my fingers up I can see the white dots (Show Touches on Dev Mode) but it doesn't click the button (not Registering the touch).
Anyone else ever seen this? I find this very very annoying.
For the sake of clarity: I use no screen protectors which mean it is pure hand to glass contact. I use all default settings (factory reset). All software are supplied by Samsung and I haven't done anything to them. All hardware parts are stock.
And somehow I noticed this: It won't register only if my other finger are controlling the D-pad which is on the left bottom side of the screen, meanwhile the fire button is on the far right screen.
