there is any other way to unlock BL?

same error by me

same error, what happen is this

Wait for sometime after you request for unlocking bootloader.. It won't Unlock immediately (rare cases it does) I waited for 6days to unlock. Some other for even 1month.. so Just wait for sometime, You must have received a message saying you can Unlock the bootloader. So after that message wait for 4-5 days atleast and then try. If unsuccessful try again after a regular intervals of 4-5 days. I know this is Really Annoying but this is how Xiaomi Works :')

same for me
is there another method to unofficially unlock BL?
cause I already disassembled the devices so I'm able to boot to EDL by test point,
however I don't see the benefits of EDL for unlocking ...
best regards

I have the same problem.

Try using VPN, maybe Xiaomi blocking International IPs. Set location to china via a VPN then try.

this is most annoying issue since they introduced locked bootloader devices 2 or 2.5 years back.
the best solution to get unlock bootloader is to do not even try to unlock for it few days and later try this is what works for most people out there who has got unlock permission.
they are not improving their services or they have designed the unlocking process just in this way(get unlock permission and wait for days and then user can get unlocked bootloader)
until now i haven't heard or seen a single person who has got bootloader unlocked immediately after getting permission in first attempt.
so my recommendation is kindly wait for few days and then try.

No. Which variant do you have? If it is a Sprint device, my sim-crack can unlock it. Any other device, you should be able to purchase a sim-unlock code for somewhere between $10 and $30 from an online sim-unlock code seller.

This is my problem. I requested to motorola an unlock code to unlock my Moto X and work with any carrier. Three days later they send me my code to release it. But when I put my code on my phone... doesn't work. :/. I entered the code many time but the result was the same. At that point my bootloader was locked. So I proceeded to unlock my bootloader. The process was successful. Then I tried to unlock my phone again but still doesn't work .
Today I talk with Motorola... and they said that the problem is because my bootloader is unlocked. I don't think so, because I tried to unlock it before and after unlock my bootloader.
Anyway... Motorola can't help me anymore because I lose warranty for unlock my bootloader.
So my question is : Can I unlock my phone if my bootloader is unlocked?.
Thanks!

Yes, but Motorola has nothing to do with it.
Unlocking the BL doesn't make you unable to Sim unlock.
You just need to do it the right way. Motorola has NEVER given out Sim unlock codes.
I asked you which variant you had and you never answered.
Be careful not to make too many incorrect unlock attempts or you will be permanently Sim locked. Once this happens there is nothing you can do.
Again, the bootloader has nothing to do with Sim lock, and neither does Motorola. Only the carriers can Sim unlock you... And the online code sellers.
The carriers would throw a fit if moto gave out Sim unlock codes. Moto has no right to do that, and never have.
---------- Post added at 12:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:45 PM ----------
Since you claim that moto sent you a Sim unlock code (which is impossible) your problem is that you entered an incorrect code too many times.
You really should have known better. If it doesn't work once, it's wrong. Just silly to keep trying the same code...
Anyways, if you tried too many times you are permanently locked and there is nothing you or anyone can do about it.
Let it be a lesson. Never never never keep entering the wrong code. After a threshold number of attempts, a q fuse is blown permanently Sim locking it to the carrier.

Trojan found in the vendor rom

Hi All, I have received my mi mix today and it got pre-installed with vendor ROM MiUi 8.0.8.0.
I installed malware bytes and ran a scan and there is a trojan I found in the notes app and I am not able to delete that app.
I haven't got unlock code from Xiaomi :crying: . Till I get that I believe I will not be able to go to stable China ROM or EU ROM. Please correct me if I am wrong.
As I don't want to use the device with malware on it, does it mean I am stuck till I get the unlock key from xiaomi.

This is not something new and has been reported by other users including myself. Even though Malwarebytes detects it as a Trojan, no one has reported any harm from that app and it is not confirmed that it is a Trojan.
Anyway, even I wanted to be on the safer side and didn't use the device until I had flashed a safe ROM. Luckily I had applied for the unlock code before I placed my order, so I had the code by the time I received the device.
It is technically possible to bypass bootloader and flash the official firmware. To bypass a locked bootloader, you need the deep flash cable or flash via EDL mode. Both these methods, especially flashing via EDL is only advised as a last resort. Using EDL is not usually recommended as there is a risk of permanently bricking the device. I wouldn't recommend these methods especially if you are new to flashing.
As of now, you can first check whether your bootloader is already unlocked by following instructions in one of the guides. If you're lucky and bootloader is already unlocked, you can flash one of the official ROMS.
If not, I would suggest that you wait till you receive your unlock code.

Thanks a lot . As I am totally new, I also didn't want to go the EDL route and I don't have the required cable either.

Don't try EDL it's disabled on mix. There is a simple guide on going from vendor rom to which ever you want, no updates coming your way with vendor rom.

Sure, thanks a lot. I am not going to try EDL at all. Want to first learn how to flash with TWRP first .

I had a check right after I opened the phone from the box. But its locked .
showing "unlock : false".
I was really hoping that vendor unlocked the bootloader for installing the vendor ROM but they didn't. I guess they used some other method.

Relock bootloader after flash Global Rom

I bought a Xiaomi mi 8 in a Xiaomi Shop in Shanghai. If I try to relock the bootloader I always get stuck booting on the recovery mode. Besides, I can not flash anything (supersu, xposed...) because I always end in bootloop; in both cases it is a softbrick
Can anybody help me?
If you have a mi8 Chinese box you aren't allowed to flash global ROM and lock bootloader.
And is there any way to fix it? Writing to Xiaomi, waiting X time...?
Thanks for your reply!
There are literally, more than a few hundred threads about not relocking. You modified your phone without reading up, no sympathy here. Your phone is dead if it is not global version. Gone. Paperweight. All the best to you

By the way,my mobile works perfectly. I relocked the bootloader more than once and I just needed to unblocked to solve it. About reading the posts, If you had read you would have realized that what interests me is simply to know if I can re-block the bootloader.

I bought it a couple of weeks ago. And no, I cannot relock it without sending it to bootloop.
The thing went like that: I unlocked the bootloader, I flashed the global ROM, I relocked the bootloader and I fell into recovery bootloop. So I entered on fastboot mode, I unblocked the bootloader again (with the Xiaomi tool), I went to fastboot again and I reflashed the global ROM.
The bootloader have to be open to allow the global ROM work. I don't know why I have avoided the brick, but this is what I've done at least twice.

Well if it bootloops the first time after you relocked it, it'll bootloop again & again. Was there any time after relocking did your phone boot properly? If not, you didn't avoid anything. As far as I understand, boot loop = soft brick.
And this is what I found on MIUI official forum:

If I read it right, your device goes into bootloop when installing a Global ROM version and trying to block the bootloader. Probably your device is a Chinese version, which should only have the bootloader locked running a China ROM.
Otherwise, it will be bootloop.

True that. Any Chinese devices running global will get (soft)bricked
Yeah, I was asking is you know the way to lock a chinese phone in global rom. Maybe in the future or with MIUI 10
Is it possible to enter EDL mode via opening your device and connecting the dots to enter 9008 Mode and than use QFIL (Qualcomm_Flash_Image_Loader) to restore the software, instead of going with the MiFlashTool and a needed EDL authorized account?

Actually these are excellent news, I had never read about a case like this. We knew that if the bootloader was unlocked by the seller and you locked it flashing a global rom (being a Chinese phone) you would get a brick only repairable through testpoint and using an authorized account. But I had never read about doing the same whith the bootloader unlocked by the user and I didn't know if it would be possible to unlock it again. So now we know this :
- Chinese unlocked by the seller -> brick locking while flashing global -> impossible to unlock and edl needed
- Chinese unlocked by the owner -> brick locking while flashing global -> ability to re-unlock and flash normally
I had some questions now :
1.- Did you have to wait to unlock the bootloader the first time? (360hrs, 720hrs.. You know)
2.- Did you have to wait when unlocking after the brick or was it instantly unlocked?
Thanks in advance!

It seems to me that this is not so, as some members still manage. However, since they did not add their personal Account to the developer options, they were not able to unlock the device again because they did not have the account associated with the device. It seems to be something related to different cases.
What can be recommended is that the devices unlocked by the seller, return to Chinese ROM more stable, and have your bootloader blocked. By then, the user requests to unblock the bootloader regardless of the time they have to wait. Thus making everything safer, in the case of possible bricks in the future.

Have you ever heard of read about somebody doing that? Because I think there's still the doubt about the unlocking method used by the sellers, whether they do a regular unlock with an account or they patch the boot in any way which could cause problems locking the bootloader.

313 hour wait time , Are you kidding me ?(Can't unlock bootloader)

I had already unlocked my device way back (July 27) and have permission to unlock on my account . I had locked my devices while flashing a fastboot rom and for the past week i have been trying to unlock bootloader without any luck. And now the tool tells me to wait for 313 hours(13 days).
Why the hell am i supposed to wait to unlock my bootloader again?. I've already waited once and unlocked the bootloader two months back. I do not understand the thought process of the people at xiaomi, like why make me wait again. The unlocking process was time consuming enough and now they had to **** it up even more.
Does anyone know the reason for this issue, and how it can be fixed.
I am really frustrated with how xiaomi is handling this situation

This is normal behaviour from the tool, if you unlock once and then relock all on the same xiaomi account you have to wait, 7 days for 1st unlock. Don't think there is a way round this as its connected to your account
please add your account in MIUI's Settings > Developer options > Mi Unlock status
I'm going through this too, MrCrowley37 have you been successful? I sent an e-mail to xiaomi and they replied that I have to continue using the device, since the device does not boot.
Thank you for contacting Xiaomi Customer Support and sharing the snapshot. I am Saloni and Understand that you are facing issues while unlocking the bootloader.
I would like to inform you to wait for some time and then try to unlock the bootloader as it is a server process it may take some time. Kindly use your device as it has not been used for a particular time through which it can unlock the bootloader.
For any further query, feel free to write us back!

Question T-Mobile 10 Pro BL unlocking

I just got the OP 10 Pro for my girl and I and I'm having some difficulty attempting to unlock the bootloader. Looks like it'll require an unlock token (bin) from OP like the previous models however on my OP 9 I didn't request an unlock token, I think maybe I flashed the global fw with MSM? I know this is a fairly new device and development is limited, but is there anything available at this time to magisk root my device? I still have my old rooted device for 2 weeks grace period before I have to return it for the trade-in.

With the T-Mobile variant you need the unlock.bin to unlock bootloader. OnePlus will eventually update their website, hopefully soon (I've already emailed their support to add it, doubt that will help though). The only other way would be using exploits which haven't been released yet. The good news is once OnePlus updates their site, you can easily request you're unlock.bin and once you get it via email it's super easy to unlock the bootloader.
Sounds like it's like their previous phones subsidized through TMO. Need to pop in a fastboot command on your phone, which will give you a string of code. Copy paste that code on Oneplus' web site once it's updated. From there, you'll need to wait 7 days almost to the minute before the page will display your unlock token, which will be in a .bin format. Fastboot flash that. Of course that'll wipe your phone completely, but your bootloader will be unlocked.

Yes, exactly same as previous T-Mobile OnePlus phones, except there's no need to be sim unlocked to enable oem unlocking on the 10 pro (pretty sure that was by mistake on OnePlus fault).

Wow. Really? So we don't have to make up an extravagant overseas-travel story to get T-mo to unlock? Niiiice.
Have said before, just avoid the US T-Mobile variant, unlocking is just the first of many issues if you're going down the unlocking/rooting path.
If it's your only way of getting the 10 pro then fair enough, but if it's not then choose the other path...whatever it is it has to be better.

Through T-Mobile was my only option but I can't say I had many issues with my OnePlus 9 TMO variant once it was unlocked and rooted.

Fair enough.
I personally live in the UK, so don't have any of these problems, but I've seen issues with people who've flashed a custom ROM and ended up without signal, data, texts, even WiFi, Devs tend not to get involved when asked what the problem may be. They end up frustrated and alone.
Couple that with waiting for 10 days to unlock it, I would stick with "if you have an alternative then go with that".
Whatever way you slice it it's a sub par experience compared to other options.
But hey if you're cool with it then that's your journey
Got my 10 pro unlocked on day one. One plus's site still doesn't support the 10 pro. So no unlock tokens for us yet.

Same, unlocked mine immediately.
The more people buy the T-Mobile version the more they'll keep doing it.
It's a shame that companies still do crap like this.

Wait, you got your T-mo unlocked immediately? How'd that work?

I got mine unlocked immediately too, twice. First device had to be exchanged due to being defective. I explained I needed the unlock for development reasons which requires the bootloader to be unlocked and I've been with them for 3 years so they didn't hesitate to issue the unlock.

I don't have a T-Mobile..I'm in the UK...I've bought a locked down device before. Never again, not when there's an alternative
For what it's worth, I just chatted with OnePlus and was told it would take 30-45 days for the unlock token page to be updated with the 10 Pro.
I strongly suspect this was little more than a guess, but I figured I'd relay it just in case.

I was told 7 days 12 days ago.
LoL, it depends on what T-Mobile tech admin you talk too....
T-mobile just msgd me on Twitter and said they 'unlocked' my phone. Do I still need the payload.bin file to unlock bootloader?

Yes that's only a network unlock which is a requirement to be eligible for OnePlus bootloader unlock
