Hi i have an note 8 SM-N950U ( T-Mobile ) and the icons on the top are small, and the bottom part is like pushed, it feels kinda small and weird, i hope the images are clear
Icons small on the wifi-bar
I think the resolution is wrong somehow.
Any Fix?
First image is the bottom one, right above the square, the line in black

Have you checked your DPI settings under Developer Options? It should be 360 default . Also check your font size etc.

Somehow i changed it to 360 and stays the same, you see the first image with black part ? under the square?, in my view it feels like the screen is not full completed, that's why i said the icons are small

See the pictures where i did that ? , the screen misses a place there causing the icons on the nav bar getting smaller.
It doensn't burn in the eyesight

Download Screen Tester from the app store then use the GRAY #8080 screen then take a pic please. That tests the screen unifromity etc so will show better.
See this picture with higher quality, you know that i mean right ? https://imgur.com/a/KW18Y , this black line, you know see it ? without blue line : https://imgur.com/a/vbOb0
https://imgur.com/83YNyg8 i believe the image is now good to see the black line. not a part of the screen.

You mean simalar to the screen being fitted a bit too high. I think I understand. Mine is a bit too low. on the gray 8080 using Display tester I think the top of my screen is a bit too low, yours seems to be opposite of mine perhaps.

I downloaded Display Tester on mine using gray #8080 and noticed perhaps the top part of my screen is similar to the bottom of your screen. So mine is probably opposite of yours. Probably the glass black seal or whatever they use is slightly up on yours and down on mine.

hi there.
i want to ask about O4X HD lcd screen. Is it normal that we can see a very2 thin horizontal line (maybe white or black) that is barely visible to our eyes? it is not a big problem for me,but just want to clarify with other users here. Maybe LG's true hd ips screen like that?
sorry for my bad english.
Thank you.
I've got the same thing. None of the reviews I've read online have mentioned it. Maybe our eyes are too sharp. I only notice it 20% of the time, so I don't mind so much.

Set your brightness at maximum and go to a white background, like the one from the settings menu. You should be able to see many small horizontal lines. But you only notice those when looking closely and carefully.

Hi guys. Does any body notice the spot from One`s display in the below picture ?
https://www.dropbox.com/s/psxjbf5g3o9d9la/Screenshot_2013-06-29-18-54-04.png
hi.
How did you get the picture, if it was a screen shot, then it`s not a faulty display, maybe it`s a dodgy notification bar icon, have you tried a restart.
I have checked that wallpaper on my one and their is no mark on mine.
John.
HI. Yes, it was a screecnshot. So nothing to affraid for.
No, I did not restart the phone. Just cleared the notification that screenshow was captured and the icon disappeared from it. It make sense if it is a faulty display to not be captured.
Thank you very much ! I think this can be locked.
I though i had a stuck white pixel on my notification bar, so i took a screen-shot and it was in the photo, so it look like it is fault in the photo, or the only star i can see.
It`s an htc one stock wallpaper try it and see.

I've had my Nexus for only 2 days and I've noticed some artifacts on my display. I've included screenshots using Screen Test app which show some horizontal lines on my display and also vertical lines but these are more vivid on the device itself they don't seem to show so much in the screenshots. These lines are visible regardless of what I use as wallpaper. Anyone else having this issue or is this normal?? Will this clear up over time or do I need to send it in for an RMA??

LMFAO....
Ok, so because you are obviously clueless about the distinction between hardware and software, any visual artifact caused by the AMOLED display **CAN NOT** appear on a screenshot.
Those lines you are seeing are due to the DITHERING algorithm used to generate the gradient that you are displaying. Gradient = the progression from white to black through multiple degrees of gray. This is a function of SOFTWARE, not hardware. RMA will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for this.
I understand there are different gradients, this is different, what I'm seeing is lines gradient or not but they are obvious even when not using the screen test app, they are visible everywhere at anytime doesn't matter what background or wallpaper I'm using. There are vertical lines also that look like they are baked into the screen.
Well then send it for an RMA? i dont see what your purpose of this post was, to ask if its normal to have baked in horizontal lines? its not.
i dont see any lines on my display, so i would sent it back for a replacement. i guess i was one of the lucky few with a device with no issues, the only issue i found was that i did not get any lollipop with the device, see here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/help/missing-lollipop-nexus-6-t3046877

I definitely cant see anything on the screenshot. As for the camera photos, its tricky because they are a little pixelated, probably due to the contrast.

I think it might be a good idea to go to an optometrist to make sure that the lines aren't caused by your eyes.
Your going to have these vertical lines had them on all amoled screens. But if your seeing them on say like your home screen and other places I'd get a replacement. But if you only see them say with just a white or gray screen I wouldn't worry about it. If you want you can try this app out on Google play... Amoled burn in fixer.. Good day
Thanks for your comments guys, I believe I do have an issue with my display therefore will proceed with a DOA replacement. Cheers

Hi guys I just received my new Huawei p9, and the display is pretty strange. If I look very carefully looking from top to the bottom, in vertical position, I cand observe some very thin lines, transparent, on whit background. Is anyone having this? Is this an issue? I mean very very thin lines, like fingerprint lines but parallel and all across the screen.

Nope, don't have this issue at all. But perhaps you could take a picture of it vs a screenshot so you can show people what to look for. Since not everyone would be able to figure out what you're talking about.

Ah, that has to do with the launcher itsself and is not a hardware issue. Google did something similar with the Pixel 2 launcher making everything look washed out. If you need convincing keep dark mode on and load an image and you won't see those lines there.

Yes, using Nova I don't see it. Pixel Launcher I do see some horizontal lines at the top.
Also if there were a hardware issue, taking a screenshot would not help show anything.
