Going with the spirit of the forum I decided to try Samsung Pay. Setup two cards . I attempted to purchase an app from the Samsung store, but I receive the error message "Secure UI not ready" come back in another minute.
Any ideas whats causing this, DPI?
Edit. I changed my DPI back to 360 from 340, still didn't work.

If i recall to be able to use Samsung pay correctly the following needs to be done
Lockscreen/security needs to be setup (PIN or pattern)
a Samsung pay pin needs to be setup (separate from android lock screen pin)
Optional: iris/fingerprint setup(can be used in place of pin when paying for stuff, but Samsung pin still needs to be setup)
Payment card will need to be enrolled then authorized by bank/institution (which usually requires phoning them so they can white list the token ID generated by the phone)
I don't have a locks screen setup or anything. I'll try that later. I've got a pin setup in Samsung pay and cards enrolled.

I setup fingerprint and still no go. Still comes up with same error message as before. Can't be bothered with it anymore . Thanks anyways.

I had similar issue like you. Turned off and problem disappears. Try that?

I am on Lollipop and get this error a few times a day.
Has anyone else seen this? It doesn't seem to have any specific app it just happens randomly.

That's a toast notification and not one that's standard in Android. If you have any sort of task killer app or cache cleaning app I would look at that as the first culprit.

What is a toast notification? I have no task killers installed and never have.
It just refers to the style of notification you're seeing. Toast notifications are popups that are not actionable and not persistent.
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/ui/notifiers/toasts.html
Unfortunately there's no easy way to determine what is generating the toast notification unless you are rooted. Some people have reported that the M-Go app produces these notifications. Regardless, it's not part of stock Android and it is being generated by some app that you have installed.
I do have the MGO app uninstall it for now to see what happens. Thanks for the info.

I don't want to talk to you early but I think uninstalling MGO fixed that issue. I haven't had that error since I removed it.
Thank you for the suggestion.

has now been a full day without the M-Go app and no errors. Bettery also has been much better without that app installed.
TY again for the info
I'm glad this worked for you. What does MGo do anyway?

Video service that took over the service Samsung had. Only use it now because I had some credit from some titles that did not transfer from Samsung. I have about $40 credit. Will use it till I am out of credit. It supports Chromecast too.
Have not reinstalled it and error has been gone since. Phone battery is better without it too.

Hi guys, i just recently updated my nexus to 6.0. I used the factory image and did a clean install, so now my phone is not rooted and I have to wait for 6.0 root. Anyways my question is, since updating I could not find any fingerprint scanner option in the settings of nexus 6, neither was I able to find any multi window option in nexus 6 settings.
How do I use these features?
LOL!
The Nexus 6 doesn't have a fingerprint scanner so you're not going to find any settings for that. To enable multiwindow you need to edit your build.prop like so:
1. Backup your old build.prop somewhere
2. Use Root Explorer (or any app with the ability to edit the build.prop) to find the line that says "ro.build.type=user"
3. Change "user" to "userdebug"
4. Save changes and reboot
5. Go to settings-> developer options-> and it's in the drawing section with the window animation speeds.

But wasn't Google going to release on screen ginger print scanning to buy the apps or sign in to your account ?

The fingerprint scanner is hardware, not software. It won't ever exist on the Nexus 6. It exists on the 2 new Nexus models and on the newest Samsung models.

The screen would need to be a special screen that can scan fingerprints. Yours is not.
Lmao this is precious
So this means that if i have previously locked my Nexus with my finger i won't be able to unlock it? Damn. Should read the manual beforehand ...
Hello guys I've been using several password protection apps for a while now, but I've read somewhere that they are draining the battery a lot faster, which is true is some cases since I have noticed that my battery "dies" faster with the apps (I'm only using 1 app at the time)...
My question is, if I use an Xposed module, do you think that is better? Or should I just continue using a password protection app from playstore?
Also if you recommend using a Xposed module instead, which one is the best?
I use Maxlock. Never was a fan of app locks till I gave this a shot. ?

This is opening Xposed Installer. If you don't enter the password, it's impossible to get into the app by clicking back or anything else like some apps.

I like ProtectedApps. Everything else I tried (though I never attempted MaxLock) allow me to kill the top app (locker) and skip into the (now no longer) locked app

but u can delete app from data partion. either by root explorer or by aroma file manager through recovery. But once I was using maxlock xposed I set a knock code and enable the hide line option and then I was unable to unlock any app. I dont know why though I was using the correct pattern. So I had to delete it using aroma 'cause I locked every app. So that's the drawback i.e missing reset feature. So if u want to use xposed lock apps then be cautious and once research urself on the mentioned facts, though their r many xposed app for locking. [emoji6] [emoji6]

I can pay with my phone which is superawesome.
But GPay app is not (pre)installed in my phone. So Android core supports GPay even without the app?
Is this a Samsung Note 9 thing or does it work the same way with every Android phone?
Thanks!

Samsung uses Samsung Pay and Google phones use Google Pay as default. I'm not sure of other phones because I have not used them. It's been like this since day one. However you are free to uninstall either and install what you prefer.
G Pay is not installed in my phone. I can't find it in App list. But G Pay service is configured in my phone.
There's no Samsung Pay app as well.
I just touched terminal with my phone and Note 9 asked me if I want to use my phone for payments and asked me to enter my credit card details.
That's why I'm asking. I didn't install any "Pay" app, and I can't uninstall any of them as you suggest. It just works out of the box.

I've uninstalled it.
If you can't uninstall it, then just disable it in the App Manager.
Yeah. Unfortunately anything built in to the system will probably be doing something in the background from time to time. I do use the email app occasionally myself, though I think email is becoming a pretty outdated concept these days with so many other ways to communicate. Sadly though, until our device gets root, the only way to stop this is by disabling the app.

With my N960F I can uninstall it (I can't remember if it's even installed in the first place).
I don't use it just because it ask for admin permissions for any business account added, which I don't want to give, so instead I use Nine.
Can't uninstall it or disable it on Verizon N960U

You'll need to do it with ADB then.

You can use Package Disabler Pro for Samsung from the play store. No root needed for snapdragon at least.
