As the Moto X4 6 GB variant comes with Oreo out of the box, can someone who has bought this variant check if Project treble is enabled?!
On moto forum I saw a customer mentioned.. it is disabled.
https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/forums/v3_1/forumtopicpage/board-id/Moto_X4/thread-id/1046/page/1
Yes this is the thread.
Amazing how they release a phone on oreo and still not enable treble.
It was suggested by a poster on that forum (so not by Motorola) , that Motorola put the Oreo version on the x4 (6gb version) in a hurry and therefor didnt enable treble.
because Oreo got released shortly before before the moto x4 - 6 gb version was. launched. Hopefully motorola will enable treble for the 6gb, 4gb and 3gb version in the future...

What...?
What I just saw is really what I think it is?
I mean... is this for real?
I saw one of my friend's Moto G3 (osprey) running on Android Oreo 8.1 (go edition).
Check this:

Can it be ported to our device?
yes
Can I know the reason why there is no network on any LineageOs 15 port, unlike other Oreo roms?
I am just curious, does moto x4 has compatibilty with vulkan? If not its posible with a rom or anything get compatibilty?
I saw a xiaomi A1 with vulkan ( snap 625) so if we have 630 it can be possible?
moto x4 it is 100% compatible with vulkan.
check with devcheck in hardware/graphics.

I read about that and Moto X4 Android One will get 9.0 update sure.
The question is to know when X4's european owners receive this update.
According to Google:
"You’ll also get access to the latest updates from Android, such as Android Oreo before the end of the year. Android One moto x4 will be among the first to receive an upgrade to Android P."

This was posted on the Lenovo (Motorola) website:

The official announcement of eligible Motorola phones that will get Android P will be made here: https://blog.motorola.com/

We already know that Moto X4 equipped with Android One will have Android P update but the question is to know if Moto X4 with Android Oreo standard will receive Android Pie.
On the other hand, the Motorola's blog in order to know updates news is the worst place where you can get report updates as they do not report anything at all.
Well, it looks like Motorola's blog just announced that Pie will be available this fall:
"...Android Pie will be served up on the below Motorola smartphones starting this fall:
...
moto x4"
https://blog.motorola.com/2018/08/15/baked-android-pie-coming-motorola/
My bets are that:
1. This only applies to Android One. Regular X4s will get it next year.
2. "This fall" means by the end of the calendar year.

The american retail variant are receiving updates at the same time as the Android One does, I think Android Pie will come together, but only for the american variant.
As per Lineage wiki https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/payton, Moto X4 has support for Bluetooth 4.2. But after android Oreo update Moto X4 received the support for Bluetooth 5. So, does Moto X4 support Bluetooth 5 when Lineage OS 17.1 is installed?
Hi there ,
Should we expect any kind of custom roms based on android 11 coming up for Moto G5s Plus (Sanders)?
Especially can we expect a pixel experience rom based on 11 for Sanders ?
I own this phone. Most likely no

I own a Moto G5s Plus and it doesn't even have OTA updates to Android 9. So I'd say probably not. I know that the Z4 and Z3 Play got updates to Android 10, with Android 11 being planned for it.
