Oreo with no animation in loading icon - Moto X4 Questions & Answers

Hi, folks,
I've just bought a Moto X4 (XT-1900-6), and before anything, it has updated to android oreo.
The thing is: none of apps that I've installed has that animation when is loading (that arrow circling). Looks like when it is running in the battery saver mode.
I'm note sure if the performance is being impacted or if it happened before the android updating.
Do you guys could help me? Do I need to give more information?
Thanks anyway, and sorry for my crappy english

Enable developer tab in settings and change animation scale to 1x or 0.5x. By default, Motorola disables animation scale.

Improve Tab S performance

Hi folks,
I read about this in the Tab Pro forum and found that this helps to make Tab S performance snappier with TouchWiz. If you use another launcher, it will be even more snapier. So here are the steps:
1) Enable developer options by tapping Build Number 7 times. You will find Build Number by Settings -> General -> About Device.
2) Once the developer options are enabled, change Window Animation scale, Transition Animation scale, Animator Duration scale from 1x to 0.5x (see attached snapshot)

Kalpesh
Tried all that. I would also try disableing system apps and use greenify to hibernate apps until you open them. I also use nova launcher and changed the speeds to fast. I also use a live wallpaper and its all smooth. What font do you use? This is what my tab s looks like. Im am rooted on stock rom.

That doesn't improve the performance, it just hides some of the lags. It is nice that you try to help people (really, it is), but you should have chosen a different headline.
Anyway, I would advise against changing Animator Duration, with it deactivated Hangouts refused to auto scroll to new messages.
Thats like putting a bandaid on a wound. Want to reduce lag? Find the thread that lists all the system apps you can delete.

Marshmallow Lock screen issue, anyone else having the same issue?

Hi,
So i updated accidentally to Marshmallow. Original plan was to wait it out and see what the general say was before updating.
So I'm on marshmallow now but everytime unlock my screen there' s a SLOW fade in effect that i'm not a fan off. IS it just me having the issue or is it the same for everyone else.
Thanks.
Try This, this should fix it:
1. Go to settings and enable Developer Settings (Go to About Phone and spam Build Number until it's enabled)
2. Go into Developer Settings and scroll down until you see the animation scale settings
3. Set all of them it to 0.5x or off, your choice
I personally do 0.5x since I do like the animations, but if you don't like the animations, just turn it off
^^yes, i was having the same issue and just by turning off "animator duration scale", it has gotten rid of the slow fade in

Lenovo ZUK Z1 - Battery Bar / Marshmellow

Hey there, I just got my new ZUK Z1 and am looking forward to some good battery life finally after owning a Moto X Play and Samsung A5 (2016) before.
Now I cant manage to add the % Info in the tray bar, the System UI Tuner aint there in my 5.1.1 - probably because Cyanogen OS doesnt support it. Is there any way to get it in without using 3rd party tools?
And did I read correctly, that 6.0.0 will be available in Europe not before January 2017?
Thanks
Chris
Open developer option and turn on the advanced menu button then u will get status bar customization option in settings menu from there u can add %

Very large pull down / notification menu after update to Android 9.0 / EMUI 9

Hey guys,
I am using the default OS that comes with the Huawei P10, and my phone is not rooted.
After the update to Android 9.0 with EMUI9 the pull down menu (quick menu from notification bar) is unbearable large. It seems like there are different DPI settings for the pull down menu only.
I actually can not stand the large icons, so normally I change to DPI 430 and/or change the size of text/display in the display settings.
However, it seems this does not have any impact anymore on the pull down menu.
Does anyone experience the same and has any idea how to fix this?

It is same for me and unfortunately it is default setting. I didn't try to modify anything with root yet but i seriously doubt that it is even possible to do something like that.
Same here. The dpi wont stick. I hope its just a bug. Not some crappy implementation from huawei.

Any way to disable overscroll stretch animation?

In android 12 there is new overscroll stretch animation.
There is some option to turn it off without disabling all others animations or bring back old android 11 overscroll effect?
In chrome we can disable it using this flag:
chrome://flags/#elastic-overscroll
First thing I kill on Adroid is animations, enjoy the fast UI...
I'm wondering if there is a flag which can be changed using adb shell settings
is there really no way to disable android 12's overscroll??

"Changing Animator Duration Scale in Developer Options to Animation Off is the solution. You need to refresh whatever app you're on to see the effects. So after making the changes in Dev Options, close the app that you're experiencing the stretchy texts on and reopen it to see the changes made."
Not sure if this works. A fast phone doesn't need any animations, etc. One of the first things I disable in Developer options. Animations where junkware in XP×64, still junkware today...
I tried it before and it works, but i want every animation to stay normal EXCEPT overscroll. Disabling all in-app animations for one eye-straining animation is dumb. It'd be great if there's a way to replace the overscroll animation or disable it alone...

Not that I know of. A chrome edit maybe, try searching for that. Many browsers allow you to alter their default hidden settings.
All animations do is make a fast UI less usable. I want to see real time what's going on, or not. Whenever I see lag that's not internet connection related I go into witch hunting mode.
Is there no way to remove that annoying effect? I don't understand how there is no option other than removing all the animations...
i really hate it
