Hi
I recently installed twrp 3.1.0-0 through cmd. I saw a thread about twrp 3.2.1.0-0 so it was a zip file instead of img file so I went to twrp and flashed that zip after that whenever I reboot my phone to system in stays on mi logo forever. Then I flashed a rom .tgz file through mi flash tool. To check I went back to twrp using my pc cmd typing the command "fastboot boot twrp.img" . I was taken to twrp recovery. I did nothing and tried to boot back system again same thing stuck here forever. I had to go through the same flashing process to get my phone back.
you probably need to restart again by flashing a new rom and read carefully howto.
U Can just flash no-verity-opt-encrypt here https://build.nethunter.com/android-tools/no-verity-opt-encrypt/no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip

if stock recovery is replaced by TWRP then stock rom wont boot.
to boot you need to disable dm-verity in boot.img magisk does this while flashing.
so to boot just flash magisk or dm-verity disabler or lazy flasher

Hi,
I unlocked the bootloader on my Oneplus 3T, then flashed TWRP. Unfortunately I misread and tapped on the read-only bit, and since then I am not able to boot into TWRP after the first time.
These are my steps (which I am trying over and over)
- fastboot;
- flash TWRP with fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
- disconnect the phone and shutdown
- boot into recovery with power/vol-
- twrp boots; I reboot into system
- system boots; i shut down
- boot into recovery with power/vol-
- the default recovery loads instead of TWRP.
I tried ticking and unticking the checkbox for read only under Mount in TWRP; I tried restoring the full backup. Every time it keeps going into the default recovery
from TWRP, I can shut down and boot into recovery and I'll get TWRP. I can reboot into recovery and I'll get TWRP. But as soon as I reboot into system, TWRP is gone
any ideas?

hm, ok thanks; I must have missed that bit.
I flashed TWRP again, then installed SuperSU from it. It went fine, then it prompts me to reboot. upon reboot I am using root checker and it says it's not done. I reboot into recovery and I get the default one again...
edit: nevermind, I used another zip for supersu and it worked. now it boots into twrp, many thanks.
Wouldn't it be better to use Magisk?

I flashed FreedomOS with Magisk at the end.
I had installed TWRP and it was working fine.
I then installed SuperSU-v2.82-201705271822 via TWRP.
This did not root the phone, rootchecker etc. all said it's not working.
I had made a TWRP backup of the phone before that.
I then tried to restore that backup, and now the phone only starts either into the TWRP boot screen, then reboots endlessly, or goes into the Huawei recovery, and fails to download the recovery package there.
Any ideas?
I can get into fastboot and download mode, but using dload found on another thread here fails at 5%.
Got it fixed. Had to flash both kernel.img AND system.img for it to work, without kernel, it kept looping.

I'm in the same situation, can you please help me?
I tried to flash SuperSU but got stuck in a boot-loop. Did you flash the kernel.img and system.img extracted from a stock firmware update.app file? I tried flashing those two but am still stuck at the boot animation. Occasionally the device will automatically reboot from the boot animation and enter eRecovery, which always fails to get package info.
Mine were from update.app. I had also flashed vendor.img, not sure if that is related.
You can also try this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ho.../recovery-bkl-nocheck-recovery-flash-t3778085
The recovery is compatible. Since you can't boot to system, make sure you run the adb stuff in TWRP, then flash to the nocheck recovery in fastboot mode afterwards and follow the rest of the steps.
Huawei's recovery servers are down, that's why erecovery fails.
edit: nevermind, got kernel.img extracted by disabling "Verify Header Checksum" in Huawei Update Extractor settings. This post can be deleted.
need twrp backup
anyone have twrp backup for lld-l21 please help
Hello, i have a Mi8 global version, unlocked and actually i'm on latest xiaomi.eu dev (9.1.24), but i have some problems with twrp and custom kernels.
I don't know why, but almost every recovery won't boot.
Actually i'm on TWRP 3.2.2-0711 (the only one that works) and managed to flash xiaomi.eu rom as written before.
But every other recovery on the forum won't boot, tried to flash and boot from cmd, only boot from cmd, flash with some tools, flash and with apps from playstore, restart from cmd with vol up, disconnect phone and use keys combination, but same result: only 3.2.2 works.
Every other recovery i try to flash does nothing, it just reboots normally without enter in twrp.
I have similar problem with custom kernel: only francoKernel_r4 boots fine. With every other miui compatible kernel i have bootloop.
I've tried to reflash fastboot rom with XiaomiFlash but still have same results.
Can anyone help me please? I have no more ideas what to do

No i did know. Just tried but both twrp don't work.
Btw i'll try to write in that thread too.
Thank you
Fastboot flash the recovery img, then fastboot boot the recovery img.
Then reflash recovery zip file from within twrp you just fastboot booted
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78693530&postcount=71
Use TWRP 3.2.3-1208 version from OP in this link

As written on eu forum, the only recovery working is the 3.2.2.
Every other recovery, 1208 too give me:
Mi logo (unlocked) - black screen - Mi logo (unlocked) - system. But no recovery.
Tried to flash a custom rom different to xiaomi.eu but got bootloop, same with kernel flashable zips on xda. Only bootlooo...
I really don't know what to do anymore...
Yeah weird, I've literally guided a friend through the process just yesterday with that method.
Zero issues
Hey there, I need help. I tried to flash latest twrp for Mi A2 but after flashing everything seems fine on command window but phone isn't booting in recovery mode. Either it get normal boot or get switched off completely , even if I try to boot into recovery by using volume up and power button , it shows 'no command' . I tried to flash magisk and it worked, but after every boot it root is getting lost automatically.. please help.. thanks

Yes it's not easy to flash twrp on mi a2 , don't know why. What you do is go to this link (https://twrp.me/xiaomi/xiaomimia2.html) and download both .img and .zip file from there. Then get into fastboot mode and do the command -
fastboot boot twrp.img
Then it will boot into TWRP. And then flash TWRP.zip file and it will flash it permanently to your device. This step is mandatory so the stock recovery doesn't come back.
Hope this works !! Let me know if it helps !!
Hi,
I think I broke something while updating my system, I was going from old PixelExperience to a new one and while flashing it with TWRP, it broke TWRP, instead of booting to it through recovery it started booting to fastboot, but I decided to try to fix it and flash TWRP again. When I was doing that my device broke even more. Now I am stuck in fastboot, I am not able to boot into system or flash TWRP.
The only way I can access TWRP is if I do fastboot boot twrp.img from my folder on my PC, but after I get to TWRP and try to install PixelExperience again, rebooting to system boots me back to fastboot.
I HAVE SCREWED UP ROYALLY. Please help, I am out of ideas and don't know what to do...
Update: managed to flash OrangeFox recovery from the booted TWRP so thats some progress I guess?
Fixed, thank god for OrangeFox, it helped, idk how to close this thread but it is ok to close if any mods want to do that
