Every now and then I grab my ZW3 and put it on and head out to work.
On the way I notice it is dead.
I would say at least once every 2 weeks it will not charge.
I put it on the charger every night and "usually" watch to make sure the charging display is on
I may skip that sometimes though.
Is anyone else having problems like this?
Happens to me when the contacts get dirty. When I clean them it's better again.

Hello, I've had alot of trouble lately with my note, but I thought I'd fixed it.
It was overheating and screen was flickering, battery going from 100% to 1% in 30 minutes.
Just now my note shut down and it just shuts down after the boot logo, not because there's a fault in the system, but because the battery is low.
When I charge it, it says 100%. When I unplug it and charge it again it says 100% or 77% or 98% or something random. I can still enter recovery and it will also start booting sometimes. I've tried 3 different cables and 4 different batteries. Warranty has expired.
What can I do?
Thanks in advance
Buy a new battery!

hi all,
just bought a 2nd hand TF701T but the dock won't charge at all. When charger is connected only to the dock, the light keeps flashing red even after being on the charger all night. When I connect the tablet to the dock, dock remains at 0% charge no matter what.
I also have a sneaky suspicion the dock drains the tablet because I left the tablet in the dock at about 85% charged, next morning it was empty.
dock has latest firmware (i think) and i've reverted the tablet back to stock to see if i could check for an update.
any ideas or do have send the dock to asus?

Asus stated that my warranty is void because the tablet is unlocked, so they want to charge 75 euro handling costs for even looking at it and if they repair, charge for that on top of it.
This is kind of a bummer, because a new dock is 130 dollar and if the dock has similar issues: tablet is still unlocked so no warranty?
Good one Asus! Will probably ditch the TF701 and go for something else. pfff should have known better after the TF700...
Ok but the dock isnt unlocked, so in my opinion warranty is void on tablet not on dock

The funny part: my warranty is void on both the tablet and dock because i've unlocked the tablet.
So I've asked Asus if I would get warranty if I buy a new dock and they responded:
"If you buy a new dock online, the warranty is not related to unlocking the tablet"
Write them, unlocking voids only tablet warranty. Also on Facebook, G+ and Twitter. Thats a shame

yup, put the TF701T for sale without the dock and ordered an HP SlateBook.
One less customer for Asus to worry about...
Not sure of laws in your country, but I would give them one more warning and then hand it over to an ombudsman or similar authority if you have one.
Well, my device has got the above mentioned problem. Every time the battery reaches about 5 % the device shuts off as if it was completely drained. When I try to turn it on afterwards it only shows the empty battery symbol and I have to charge it. The weird thing is when I charge it enough that it turns on it shows like 7-8 % battery. Now I suppose the device just shows me wrong numbers and is actually empty when it shows 5 %, so I guess it's a calibration issue? Did anyone experience something similar or know a possible fix? Thanks guys.

Not that I know of, just fyi it's not great for the battery to discharge it to single digits all the time

Thanks for the input. I know and I try to avoid getting low on battery as often as possible, but I've had the problem since I bought the device back in January. I just can't accept 5 as the new 0.

So yours does this too? I can't imagine this is normal behavior. Or is it some kind of protection mechanism?

Yup all the time, thats why before it hit 5%, time to charge... For me its ok
Nope mine goes to 0% before shutting down. Doesn't make sense. Maybe it's your rom/kernel

If youall keep letting it go below 5% one of these time's it won't take a charge and you will be getting new phone's. Not good to run lithium ion batts to zero.

I'm running stock ROM with franco.Kernel r21, nothing fancy here, completely stock settings without undervolting or anything. It also happened when I was on stock kernel. It's really awkward behavior and I never encountered this on any other device. I'll probably go and see if I can get a replacement.

I have a similar problem with a 32 GB Nexus 6 - it randomly turns down completely at all different battery levels - 15% on up to 60%.
I've Google'd and found some people complaining about the issue. Ultimately I was unable to resolve this (still completely shutting down 2-3 times a day). The only solution was to plug into a power source and then I could turn it on and unplug.
Sending this device back to Google for a swap.
Hi all,
I just got my P9000, it came with no charger, just the cable.
I already tried 5 different chargers and with all of them I get the same result, device takes more than 14 hours to charge (from 10%).
Already tried it with:
- An ASUS USB charger (used for ASUS tablet)
- Quick Charge Qualcomm Certification 2.0
- 2.4 A charger
- No-brand 1.5 A charger
- A ZTE phablet charger
I tried all these chargers with two different cable.
I tried one of these combination to charge another Elephone P9000 of a colleague and it charged 10% in less than 20 minutes.
I knew that without the official charger, the charge would take a bit more time, but not 14 hours...
Any advice? Should I try to return it? Can I do anything without spending more money in chargers?
Thanks for your help
What Firmware is in p9000

Hi,
thanks for the reply.
I asked my sister (the phone owner) to send me a screenshot of the firmware number, she sent me the attached image.
Any suspicion? She said that an update notification appears and that she accepted, so, I think she has the latest firmware. Please let me know if there's anything I can do.
Best Regards,

I habe Android 7 with flashtool in phone all is OK
You must testet maybe Android 7 flash with flashtool.

Hi skysauger,
did you had this problem with the previous version of the firmware?
If I flash a new unofficial firmware, it may void the warranty.
Any other alternatives?
Thanks again for your help
With android 7 I have not the problem, with the 6version has mrin p9000 also slowly gelaen, however not so slowly.
The warranty should not go out, as the update is directly from Elephone comes and you can only install it with flashtool.
It is worth a try.
If that does not work, you have to reclaim it.

Hi skysauger,
you got me curious, how much time it would take to fully charge your phone with version 6?
Thanks again for replying,

Hi,
my sister just send me an IM, the phone is not charging at all.
Thanks for the replies, I will try to activate the warranty
Good day.
Recently i migrated from an Samsung Galaxy S8 to an Xperia XZ1 compact. One of the few things that i missed from that stupid phone is the wireless charging.
With XZ1C now i am concerned with the constant wear of the usb port when charging and connecting to the PC.
So i am thinking in buying and Magnetic Type-C Adapter. (see atachment)
I already bought a cheap one for another phone but, when connecting to the pc, had too many disconections.
Has anyone tryed and could make me a sujestion for a good one?
Thank you.
very cool. i didn't know that existed. i'd be interested in those as well
I had one of those.
They stick out too much from the phone, so I got rid of it shortly after.

That is a good question. .
In my Galaxy S8 i bought one from other seller, just out of curiosity, and it supported.
In the meantime, I bought 2 different adapters in ebay to try. When it arrives (in about 20 days) i'll post here my results.

Yes, as long as they support data.
Be really careful with magnetic charger. I am in China and bought one from Taobao. Connected it to my PC USB port, connected to phone and it turned off instantly, only Volume down+Power buttons combination make it start again. Hope this fckng thing didn't break anything in my phone. All tests (including battery) in *#*#Service#*#* come up alright.
It seems that it is OK to use magnetic cable, as long as you are not connecting your phone to front USB panel or USB hub. Just use Mother board USB and it considerably safe.
I've been using the NETDOT GEN 10 magnetic charging cables for the last half of a year. So far I have had no problems with it, and it is also reversible which is a plus.
I am using them on my headphones and watch too.
One thing to be aware of us that is that the plug that goes into the phone is not flush with the body and stands out about 1-2mm and leaves a bit of a gap.
