If running stock rom you need to disable RIC by repacking kernel with a script
Follow step 5: https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/root-root-stock-firmware-modern-sony-t3558904
And read this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...ia-z1-lollipop-5-1-1-build-14-t3246373/page12
SUPERUSER said:
Its recommended to use these sketchy last resort rooting options to get root to be able to backup ta partition before unlocking the bootloader or whatever you need to do and then replace it with a proper root.
If you are running stock rom and want to root this.
Then to keep it simple I recommend to flash a stock rom with flashtool and then follow the guide here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/root-root-stock-firmware-modern-sony-t3558904
You need a stock rom downloaded to repack the stock kernel and then flash it back to the device.
So Its much simpler if you actually download a stock rom and flash it while you're at it.
http://www.flashtool.net/index.php
While you are following the guide make sure to disable ric in the script too.
Otherwise you won't get rw to system partition.
Since chainfire supersu is completely handed over to that chinese business I recommend to migrate to magisk instead.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
And lastly when the phone is booted up install busybox
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox

Sorry ....somehow I didn't see your notification and totally missed to reply to you.
If you are stuck on the sony logo you configured the script wrong.
Say N to everything but RIC or the phone will not boot.
I repacked the kernel from my Togari to demonstrate but the procedure is exactly the same for Honami.

I do want to add that I do now have my doubts about magisk because I have had some issues with magisk on lollipop and I instead went with supersu.
But I you got magisk working then you don't need to do worry about this

thank for information, and im sorry if i late for reply your post
and then I'll trying all your say,,,
thankyou verry much :baik: :baik: :baik:

[Q] Need Help Rooting C6606 4.2.2 Tmobile

Hey there guys, I'm new to all of these software stuff. I'm trying to get my device simply rooted. I looked everywhere on the forum to see if anyone actually rooted my version of device. Some people say they did it but they didnt post how they got it or the instructions. So if anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. (Also, I don't care too much for roms or customization etc as long everything works perfectly fine. I just need the root in order to use the app called "SixAxis" a mapping for games.)
My device's bootloader is locked im guessing since it's by tmobile, but if there is a root out there, please give me links/exact instructions. I AM A NOOB BTW
Thanks
I currently own a Sony Xperia Z. It's model number is C6606
Android Version is 4.2.2
Kernel Version: 3.4.0-ge32669e
Build number: 10.3.1.E.0.191
By Tmobile

Ok nvm, i figured out what you meant by method 0. So i tried it, and the device rebooted and i checked it with the root checker app, and it didnt root. Nothing was installed or anything like that.
Then i attempted to do it again but this time "run it as administrator". Then the root kit said "the system cannot find the path specified"
Any ideas or other ways to root my device?
First, make sure drivers are all installed. USB debugging needs to be on.
Then make sure nothing else like the PC Companion is running before you use the toolkit.
This should work for you.

Have read much about it last year and that this app acts like a malware mining your data (e.g., IMEI) and sending those data to free servers in China during the root process. Not up to date on this info as I don't use such app. Kingo Android Root Method thread just re-opened this year, so maybe program was cleared by XDA?
Will report this thread. My guide already does a great and simple job guiding both new and old users on how to root. Although I may have posted a 'final' update, I am still lurking around.

Root for Android L [Patched SuperSU zip]

SuperSU root is working fine on Android L, it just needed a small change in script. Chainfire posted about it on twitter here. You can grab the patched SuperSU zip file from the link below and flash it via CWM/TWRP recovery.

[Q] Cant install, I/O issue?

I've been wanting to use Xposed for so long, but I was waiting for a easy click and done root method. Now that there is one for 4.4.2 on Verizon Moto X, I rooted and went to install xposed. I'm either getting a failure to get root, can't access write (which both could be that this is a temp no write root), or recently an i/o issue.
Post exact error messages, preferably in screenshots if you want anyone to try to assist you.
You should read through the FAQ threads pinned to the top of this section first though, as most common problems have already been addressed in them.
Sorry. Thought I should..

Have you verified that you have root? Try Root Checker.
If you have root, you should try mounting /system as R/W with a root enabled file browser like ES file explorer.
If either of those things fail, you should ask around in your device specific forum, as it's not a problem with the Xposed installer.
If you have a custom recovery, you can also install the Xposed framework with that. Just change the install method in the installer.

How do I do it with ES? I turned on the root part, but not sure what to after that, dosen't like theres any recent tutorials. I tried a Mount System R/W app, and it said it work, but same i/o error with Xposed installer. Guess I'll head over to the Moto X forum.

Click "Root Explorer" in the same spot where you enabled it (but don't click the toggle), then a little window will pop up. Click "Mount R/W" toward the bottom, then the RW bubble next to "/system." Click OK.

Unlock the bootloader, install twrp recovery through fastboot, flash a custom kernel and install Magisk.
You will find guides to everything what i said so i don't need to write instructions here, look them up yourself.
