It isn't . You need to go back to the OS version that was Google supported most likely . That's what I did. I need to find the guide to link it.

Guide no longer exists on Jides site. I posted a copy here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3752456

I'm using the latest version of Slim ICS (3.8) for my I9000.
Okay, so I've searched a lot for the Google+ app on my phone. I've never been able to find it. Today, I searched for the app on my laptop and the Play Store informs me that the app is not compatible with my device.
Why on Earth is our phone officially incompatible with the Google+ app? It was compatible before!!!! Or is it just me...?

Hi. Can i somehow force Play Store to download an incompatible app to my Ace? I can't find the apk on the internet. App is free, so I don't have any bad intentions. Here is the Play Store link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.com.innogames.staemme
My phone is rooted btw.
You can use APK Downloader, and download from Google Play ,and then install it manually.

Galaxy Ace is not very perform.
Is not possible to play this game on Ace...
Search for market helper app.. I believe I've seen it somewhere on XDA I don't remember where.. That app will spoof your device for any other device and you can download any app even if its not compatible with your own device..
Or you can post your app request on this thread, they'll give the apk file if that app is free..

Google Play Store blocked? - GET YOUR APPS HERE! [200+ Apps]
Edit the product code to i9300 in build.prop file
You can download incompatible apps for your phone by editing the build.prop. You can search about this in XDA.

So? You flashed CM without gApps? That's why you should always read EVERYTHING in a ROM OP before flashing.
As you said if there was no play store you didn't flash Google Apps after flashing CM 11.
Just downloading and installing play store doesn't work as you need the play services as well.
The easiest way would be to uninstall/delete play store and flash Google Apps (Gapps) suitable for CM 11 ( Android 4.4.2). I would suggest PA's 0- Day Gapps. Just search for them in the Android Development Apps section, flash them and it should work

Hi guys
My play store running normel and i can install free apps but cant make any purchases either a paid apps or inapp purchases..also i cnt sign in to google+ in all apps and games on my phone :/
I was runnig cm11 and flashed the gapps provided in a xda thread and every thing was fine but later ive made a full wipe of phone in twrp (ticked all options) and flashed cm11 again then gapps and after that m facing the problems that ive mentioned above
So anyone have a solution?
Also it will be usefull if someone running cm11 on his s3 mini posted the exact version of the apps (and if possible upload them or post a direct link ):
Google play store
Google play services
Google play games
Google services framework
Thank u
I've been attempting to change my build.prop to make Google Play think I'm running a Samsung Galaxy instead of Fire 7 so I can download apps that are not available otherwise. I've been following various guides and using simple trial and error, but have not had any luck. Does anybody know what values Google Play uses to check what device it's running on?
I'm using OpenGapps.
Play Services Version: 19.8.31
Play Store Version: 16.5.15
I know there are alternative methods for both downloading apps and spoofing devices, but I would really like to use this method so it can be deployed to other tablets (including my mom's who is not tech savy at all).

Method is no longer applicable; Play Store looks a device fingerprint which can be tweaked via Magisk module: MagiskHide Props Config
DB126's method is confirmed to be working.
Thanks for the tip, and sorry I never responded.
