I need your help .I want to replace touch screen on my diamond , but I cannot find anywhere any manual how to remove LCD and touch screen. I have buy from ebay touch screen .Thanks for any help
On the net you can find service manuals for the Diamond. On YouTube you can find clips showing how to dismantle it.
BEWARE, it is not a job for the inexperienced. I have replaced displays and digitizers on several phones before but failed doing it on the Diamond.
I think the digitizer and display are glued to the frame.
I find service manual and how to dismantle it. But everything stop to lcd and touch screen .thanks
For sure don't try to do it yourself unless you really know what your doing
best bet is send it to HTC in the US its a 100 Fix.
I've gone through 2 ebay touch screens with no luck installing them when my screen cracked, and eventually just sent it out after too many failed attempts.
their is an extra screen mounted onto the digitizer that you can't get on the ebay digitizers
basically from the outside in,
Ebay:
Glass Screen/digitizer: touch screen
Actual Assembly
Glass Screen/digitizer: Touch screen: a 3rd fat screen mounted onto the touch screen
I had buy from ebay touch screen
I only want to replace my screen and keep the digitizer, is this possible?
So keep the digitizer and third screen an d replace the cracked lcd screen
Yes it's possible .Try with this manual :

These manuals are not enough for replacing the screen only. The last picture is with the frame still on it.
I tryed tonight and i can say that i'm the first person in the world that only replaced a HTC Diamond screen! I wil post a full report soon.
Hi
I have found a place to buy the touch screen separate. So I can change it. But I don`t know how. Is the a simple way to do this, or do you have to take the hole phone apart? Like the wizard here http://mikechannon.net/PDF Manuals/HTC Diamond Service Manual.pdf tells me to do.
Or is it me that don`t understand?
Please help me.
Sorry for bad English
Best regards
Petter

I notice this was not answered - perhaps because the answer is yes you must follow the service manual dismantling steps! There are no short cuts or quick ways to replace the screen.
Disassembly will void any warranty you may have. If in doubt send it for repair.
Mike
Hi be very carefull with the screen , i just changed my lcd at a HTC service center, the screen is composed of 3 parts the digitizer (touch screen), lcd display, and the front cover ( the metal that you see around the screen), all this parts are changed in one piece, you cannot change only the touch screen or the lcd because, it can be done without damaging the lcd. Dont buy from ebay only the touch screen because you wil and up breaking your phone.
Ps the screen ( front cover, touch screen, lcd display) cost me 110 euro.
Here are some pictures of my old screen.
I dropped my HD2 and now i have a broken screen...but i can still see the wallpaper behind the broken screen and can use the hard button to receive calls.
Only thing that is not working is the Touch screen.
Now i dont know what to get...Should i first get the LCD screen and try to see if it'll solve all the problems...or should i get the digitizer? Or both?
Thanks
If the LCD is not broken then you need a digitizer. But the two are bonded together quite strongly, I am sure someone will tell you what to do for the best.
If you do get a new digitizer then you should make sure you get a T-Mobile one, the HTC ones have a different connector..
Hey guys, so the screen on my galaxy mini is broken, after i was driving with it in my pocket. I think too much pressure might've pressed down on it and broke it. The touch/digitizer is still working however, but i cannot see 4/5 of the screen, it is just white. I know the touch is working because i can see movement in the small section i can see when i turn it on and play around with the screen.
So, my questions are, how hard is it to replace the lcd screen myself? if at all possible? and also where can i find a replacement screen? are there any special tools/accessories i must need to replace it?
Help will be MUCH appreciated!
i would recommend u to go to samsung service centre and get it replaced
and please do not try to do anything urself with the phone
Just go to Samsung Service centre, this is the best option
a have the same problem with my galaxy teos.
and by trying to replace the screen I manage to damage my phone more.
so
Samsung Service centre,
this is the best option
Hey, Everyone..
As I still use my beloved vivo as a DD.. And it has suffered a lot with me..
Unfortunately.. It got some water on the screen ( don't ask how )
And i think the LCD has died.. I don't know.. But it is weird.. T he screen actually works perfectly some times turns on, touchscreen works just fine..
For example fir these weird situations: when you turn the phone up.. The splash screen shows and then it disappears after 2sec.. Black screen.,
Then after 6-7sec the bootanimation shows up * screen works * then after 15sec *Black screen* .. Until the phone is fully booted up!
Another situation: when you press the power button the screen shows for 3sec then Black screen.. And when you leave the phone alone for 2-1 min the screen works until you touch it.. It turns black..
I didn't actually see inside it to see what is the actuall problem because i was some busy .. But i think it can be saved?
Without buying an new lcd? I know the lcd is cheap about 20-30 bucks., but adding the cost of shipping it to my country will cost a new phone
And i really want to try VivoPop..
So, please.. Anyone has an idea.. Or knows a sulotion.. Please write it down and HELP ME! :crying:

My advice: Bring your phone to a technician to take a look at it and ask for his suggestion...
