WiFi antenna location (poor signal) - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys!
Recently I had shatterd screen in my xperia z3 compact so i bought screen with so called midframe and replaced it. That screen was used but in marvellous condition. Now i have a little problem. Accidently i broke the outer frame (if you know what i mean) in one place. And once i started the phone, the wifi signal was quite poor - on my desk another phone has full wifi signal, but xperia just half. On another forum i've read that there is wifi antenna in frame that i've broken. Is that true? Or the only antenna is that one connected to the motherboard?

overheat, battery drain and camera problem

A month ago I bought used HTC Touch Diamond. The touch screen was cracked so I decided to replace it but it turns out that I had to replace the lcd too. Well I bought it- touch screen with lcd and then replaced it by myself.
That's where my problems started. The phone was so hot that I thought that it's going melt and the battery was drained for 2-3 hours completely. Last times when I was trying to launch the camera I was getting a error- device.exe can't start or something like that.
I've put on the processor under the cover termopaste for better cooling and detached the main camera- know my phone is never getting hot even with gps tracking and the battery life is good but I don't have a camera.
Also right below the battery in the middle there is a screw- I removed it because when I put it my external speaker doesn't work. I had a problem with the internal speaker too and it turns out that when I connect the pin on the internal speaker closest to the vga camera with the panel the speaker work. So I soldered the spot where right pin (the one closest to the vga camera) of the speaker makes the contact with the board with the closest part that makes contact with the panel and there is no more problem with the internal speaker.
Is it possible to keep this battery life and temperature and to have working camera ?

bluetooth & wifi not working after screen replacement

I dropped my phone from about 3.5 feet, and ended up cracking the oled screen.
In the process of replacing the screen, I broke the ribbon connection for the digitizer.
After I replaced both, I boot up the phone, and the wifi and bluetooth arent working. They both won't start.
I was looking at the teardown guide again from ifixit.com and notice that these are both powered by the same broadcom chip.
Does anyone know if there is another ribbon connection associated with the wifi and bluetooth?
I am hoping that I just forgot to plug something back in, and the broadcom chip didnt just crap out from the fall.
I am trying to avoid tearing my phone apart again.
Thanks for the help
EXACTLY the same issue with my Nexus One. Replaced digitizer and now WiFi and Bluetooth wont activate.
Strange! But maybe a hint from the man above to get the Galaxy S II...?

nexus 7 screen flicker fix tutorial

First sorry for my English but I'm weak in the language and have to use a translator.
Unfortunately, I also received a nexus with a flicker screen. Unfortunately the way to seal the upper wifi contact with me so I did not help Wondering how you can be "cured" nexus of flicker. Helped seal the contacts but both wifi and bluetooth range was then tragic, so I came up with the idea of using this sizeable piece of metal at the bottom of the back cover. I used a thin cable with exposed contacts on both sides (from the wifi antenna short enough so that it only touches the lower contact of the antenna connector on the side of the plate longer for good contact). After installing everything (upper contact is still sealed with wifi) turned speedtest and did not notice any flickering, now everything is running smoothly, the same range as before the modification. The only drawback I noticed is that now when I listen to music through headphones bluetooth wifi is working out extremely slowly, but when using the same wifi these problems do not exist. I send pictures to people who want to try this method. Just remember the good sealed the plate, it does not touch the plate on the tablet. Write how this method works for you. Regards

[Q] Broken Antenna connector

Hi All,
I was taking apart my LTE S3 to fix some water damage and in the process managed to rip the connector off the PCB that connects to the thin wire that runs up the side of the phone. I have searched around and it looks like this is the wifi antenna ? (But not too sure).
As the small connector has been ripped off, it doesn't look like there is any terminal left on the board to resolder it back to. However, I've noticed there looks like there are two larger connectors on the board. What are the chances that I could use either of these ? If so how would i do it, is the antenna just a single connection (the inner or outer part of the connector) ?
Any help will be much apprciated.
Thanks.
Search for the SGS3 Teardown .

Sony Xperia Z3 E6553 still no display after LCD replacement

Good Day to All,
I have a problem with my Z3+ E6553, the problem is that there is no display on the phone. Couple of weeks ago the lcd just stopped working, the device does come on with the LED lights, vibration and the touch is reponsive with which you can here the touch sounds, haptic feedback and the Speech to text speaking. I thought the LCD screen went dead and so I bought a new LCD screen to replace it but after replacing the screen the problem still presist with no display(black screen). So currently I have no idea what is the cause or what to do next.
I opended the phone was just check some things out, and I had a look at the LCD flex cable and I found something strange that maybe one of the connector antenna prongs missing. But I'm not sure if thats just how it is or its maybe it got damaged. Have a look at the attached pictures below.
Can someone tell me if this issue is with the LCD motherboard flex cable, or another hardware issue maybe being the motherbaord?
