I used A7000 for a long time, and the problem is when the battery is 40% (even 50%), it drop very fast to 20%. I tried flashing other rom and other kernel. It is still
So why?

Because of the hardware.
You can't do anything about it except to buy a new device.
Many mtk devices have this problem.

Hey
I've had my Mini for two months now and I've calibrated the battery at least 15 times and somehow I still get battery jumps (sometimes as high as 25% jumps)
Does anybody else have a problem with battery calibration??
Also, is it safe to leave the phone charging overnight or is there no charger protection in this phone??
Thanx

Thanx for your response, I'm noticing now that my battery's reporting wrong, I've tried 4 different battery tools and all of them report 4mV when they should report 4250mV (or something like that)
Is anybody else seeing this behavior??

Could you clarify this for me???.....'Cause I don't know what you're talking about
In my opinion too much calibration is not needed with liking battery
My problem is not due to excessive battery calibration, it's due to battery reporting errors, I keep seeing percentage jumps and the voltage is also wrongly displayed

Upgrade ROM maybe can solved that problem
And after installing new ROM calibrate again once!
I've had the same problem with 4 different ROMs (FroYo stock, GB stock, Andro-ID and CM7).
I'm starting to think that it's a physical battery problem
Well, this is weird, I bought recently a i9000b guys, my old Galaxy Ace rusts in peace now... well, flashed it (took some long hours) and now i'm using CyanogenMod 10, but here's the probelm
It has been charging the entire night, then this morning I took it and went to take a breakfast, I've been chatting and stuff but it got laggy, so I decided to restart it (apparently with 72% of battery aprox), when i checked it again after the restart I saw 4% of battery. What? Is that possible? I must say that I haven't calibrated the battery, I tried to check if charging it with the phone off and had a very low battery level. What could it be? Battery Calibration? Rom? Kernel?
ROM: [ROM][LINARO][JDQ39E][22/05] **C-RoM Mix v22 *&* C-RoM v3** [ Stable & Fast... ] [
Kernel: Semaphore 2.9.0 (for i9000b)
Thanks
PS: I turned on again the phone and there was a 80%~ of battery
Do one thing might solve:
Switch off your phone
Rwmove battery
Press power button for 15-30 sec
Insert battery back and reboot
Let me know if it solves your issue

Done, let's see if doesn't happen again. Anyway, should I wipe the battery stats? I haven't yet...
I will be doing tests because it happened to me yesterday, I got a random shutdown and the battery was empty, so I'll be looking for that.
Any another solution is welcome, thanks anyway :good:

Happened again after 3h 25min of usage, battery fell from 46% to 0%
Can't it be the kernel?
(CM10.1)

Battery drain problems are usually kernel related, yeah. When I tried CM10.1 I noticed a hell of a lot of battery drain as well (then again, 3 year old 1500mAh battery, 3 year old SGS, can't expect miracles).
Try using any of the 4.2 kernels in the forums (Semaphore, Mackay, Devil, CyanCore). I've tried most of them (usually Semaphore) and they're all pretty good for getting that extra bit out.
Aonther option would be to switch rom. Some devs have made roms with pretty good battery life considering the extra ram consumption on JB.

Thanks, i'm on it, will change my rom to Mackay rom and kernel, sadly this kernels aren't usually updated, because I have a i9000b and there are not much kernels for this model. I'm going to install a Mackay kernel compiled for i9000b
i am really annoyed. since a couple of days i run beanstalk 4.4.200 and the rom itself works fine and is fast and all that. but the battery drain, oh my god, i've never seen anything that terrible. even worse than stock and nobody who can held me with it.
so thats why i have to ask again: which roms are the other people here using, what did they do to get it running ok.
i'm looking for a rom that doesnt use more 10% of battery while i sleep, that shouldnt be to much to ask from a phone
that is basically off all the time.

xz battery terrible in any rom
Since your phone is unlocked boot loader thus you could Undervolt and reduce the cpu freq to 900ghz while you don't need. If you power- just scale to full power or even over clock:fingers-crossed:.
That should gives you at least 5-6hours battery, Furthemore you can use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uzumapps.wakelockdetector app, it is very effective, make sure you watch the video it will tell you how effectivly use it
can any budy help me, i´ve got a lg 4x hd and at night for no reason he spends 20% or higher in battery and i dont no why

Install this program and see what is causing the wakelock...
Also is always good to use greenify to hibernate applications.
PS: Both applications require root.
Best Regards.
thanks but that got me no where it still does the same thing
my charger makes a strange noise like a buzz
maybe its the charger or the battery it self
The charger always make scary sounds ...
The same cautious if phone is off?
still no solution for the problem, its strange the battery that he consumes over night
Well, probably depends also how old your mobile is... I mean, after 4 years the battery can have lost capacity. Mine also needs around that over night, with Wifi and all Syncs and pushes activated. But theres nothing to do in my case i reinstalled firmware several times, its just gets old. Dunno but i could imagine you have the same "problem"...
What rom are you using?
You should try to flash stock rom.
Find them here lg-phone-firmware.com
we need battery logs..
Hey s3 mini users, i just want to ask a quick question about battery life. So recently i have tried many custom roms (CM11, CM12, vanirAOSP,Dmodv6 and alot more) but i have a problem with my battery life. Roms that are AOSP based like CM11 has horrible battery life (2h screen on time with 10% left). However if i used samsung stock rom based custom rom, the battery is a lot better, i get 3h+ screen on time with 20% left over. So my question is, is this normal for my phone to have bad battery life on AOSP roms?

sorry i missclicked. i get about 2,5-3,5h screen on time. depends on task what i do. if i read much in dark i sometimes get like 4h.
im just using a clean setup, maclaws CM12, with not much apps (i dont need much) & all is grennified which has the blue cloud. only whatsapp runs in background, no mods/tweaks.
Have you tried cm 11 before? If you have, is the battery life on cm 12 significantly better?

what, thats amazing battery life. I tried both cm 11 and cm 12 but my battery life just sucks. Theres no wakelocks draining battery but the only thing i noticed is that when i download stuff (play store or on internet) my cpu just clocks to max ghz (1ghz) and stays there until download is over. Is this normal or what? cause this is the only thing i can think of that could drain my battery. So confusion
