Yes, after 30 secs your screen would go dim and eventually shut off.... Increase it to 1 or 2 mins.....

I think its some kinda flashing error. Try reflashing firmware meant for your phone model no. but first go to recovery and wipe data and cache. After flashing also wipe data and cache. I guess it would be good. But if that also doesn't help then it would be a bug on the firmware. Try changing the firmware to a latest one...

Have you looked at settings->motion ? If it's what you mean, just enable or disable, or look at the context menu there.

I've not yet used note 2. But are you sure that extra motion does exist on note 1. Here we are in the note 1 forum.
I read that there were some devs trying to port to s3 but it required extensive modding of framework, still in progress. After that quick glance may be ported to note as well.

auto brightness too dark?

Does anyone else have this problem when brightness is set to auto and you wake the phone in the dark the screen is too dim?
It's fine when you wake the phone in bright places.
I have the Verizon Note 5.
Thanks.
I personally think it's too bright in the dark
Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
yup. its painfully dim on auto setting. Verizon note 5 here...
damn, i felt it was too bright. i couldn't wait to get lux running to dim the thing down.
This doesn't let you set the auto level after you set auto like the s6?

I think he's referring to when you check the auto box and you're able to increase the auto brightness level on the slider, so you're auto brightness is relative to the slider.
I have the AT&T version and this does not work.
I to am having the same problem.
On the international version of the Note 5 and it just started happening to me. I walked outside and thought my screen broke because I couldnt see a thing with auto brightness on. No idea whats going on.

Had a similar thing happen to me. Was standing outside in relative darkness and suddenly, without any changes to the environment, my screen became a lot dimmer. Weird.

Same here. Screen is too bright on auto in the dark. I have my slider set to the lowest & have to uncheck the auto setting when in the dark. Anyway to fix this?

I fixed it by flashing the latest firmware from Samsung. The senors have gone back to normal but now I seem to have a weird battery drain. The "Android System" seems to be using most of the battery
Dont really want to flaah my new phone...i have this as well. Seems to happen in the evening more than the middle of the day. Maybe the power level in the phone is lower...so its trying to help me out. Its not ... is very frustrating

It has amazed me for years that Android doesn't let you set a custom curve for auto brightness.

fingerprint wake up in miui8

hi guys, so was anyone able to enable fingerprint wakeup while screen is off (without turning screen on first) in miui8 global rom? I mean with soft touch on the fingerprint without pressing the home button...
this feature was added in custom roms, but when I tried the same trick in miui8 it didn't work.. anyone suceeded? TIA!
Add this as a custom control using kernel audiutor. It's not perfect though sometimes you need to disable and then re-enable it on reboots
thanks for your help mate! but I don't use kernel adiutor.. and to add custom controls probably it is needed the donation version so.. I prefer to buy xMIUI donate version atm will look for alternative solutions thanks again though!

You can build his apk from source and remove the function for requiring donate key I just bought it though, it is only cheap and I use it a lot
way beyond my capabilities...
I could buy it too, that's not a so big expense, but also I don't use google services/play store, so I don't even know if I could actually! (don't think can get a unlock key after donating but only buy it from the play store..) so...

[HOWTO] ADB Transition Animation scale to 0.25 or to your likings

Hello all, I take no credit for this as I found a great write-up online and figured I'd share it with you all. I changed all my animations to .25 and dang this thing just flies now! I haven't tried changing to say .10 or anything yet but the .25 really makes the phone feel like a rocket! Enjoy!

Or you can just go to Developers option in settings and do this w/o PC

There's no .25 option in developer options. You can set it to whatever you want, I tried .10 and that was a little too fsst lol

Thanks for this. Much better than .5. FYI, it's better to leave the animator duration scale at 1.0 because that controls the spinning wheels in YouTube and other similar animations. To me they just look funky if they're sped up.

I work plenty, 45hrs a week full time job and then probably an additional 20hrs buying phones fixing them and reselling them [emoji106]
Anyone know if it's possible to move the clock to center position with ADB? I'm gonna search it and I'll post my findings.
