As stated in LOS thread: "This rom is based on the stock oreo 8.1 OPM1.171019.021 April 2018 rom from google. The instructions below assume your device is already on that rom. This is important because your device needs to have the vendor, radio, bootloader, and other img's from that rom. So, if you need to, flash the OPM1.171019.021 stock rom first"

To flash this rom you need TWRP version 3.2.0-0.
EDIT: TWRP 3.2.1-2 works also
IMPORTANT NOTE: Twrp version 3.2.0-0 can't decrypt data if it's secured with pin, password, etc. So, before you begin go to lockscreen security settings and change it to 'none' or 'swipe'.
1. boot into twrp and factory reset and wipe and dalvik/art cache
2. flash rom zip
3. flash twrp 3.2.0-0 zip
4. reboot -> recovery (this will reboot you into the other slot)
5. flash stock vendor img
6. mount -> vendor, then open the file manager and delete the /vendor/overlay folder
7. Flash Gapps
Reboot & enjoy.
All builds from here on out will be completely Root-less. We have decided as a TEAM its best to let you the users decide what you want on your devices. So if you want/need Root access please flash either Magisk or SU.

Yes, just download pixel launcher mods. Then, download your icon choice.
Open pixel mods, apply icon pack.

I think you'd need to change that in the design process.

It says this features ota updates, will that update be an OTA update?
For some reason settings is crashing when I try to set a passcode. Anyone else? Will reinstall if not.

I had passcode issues on first install. I came from another Feb Oreo custom rom so just factory/cache wiped, but no matter how many times I rewiped and reflashed, on setup the phone would think I had a passcode set already and wouldn't let me progress through any Security settings. Did a clean flash of the stock rom this morning and wiped/flashed this rom and lock screen settings seem to be working fine now. Like on another Oreo rom, I sometimes have wake delays/complete wake failures, and I know it's got something to do with having a lockscreen set and also Smart Lock behaved strangely once so perhaps to do with that too. Still figuring it out.
OTHERWISE, though, this is the first Oreo rom for Pixel that the Tetris app has worked on for me, so 10/10, daily driver. :good:

Hey same thing happening for me while trying to set lock screen pin just says I have it set to swipe and asks me to enter my pin but doesn't except the pin I set so can't set anything as lock screen now.

Does this work with all Galaxy Tab 3? I have a Galaxy Tab 3 7" (SM-T120 or P3210 from what I've been able to find - WiFi only anyway), for which info is hard to find anything so far. So when I just stumbled on this thread, I jumped right on it!
You describe that I have to install TWRP, but there doesn't seem to be a version for my tablet specifically. I am more or less experienced with this stuff, as I rooted and installed custom ROMs on my Galaxy Tab 2 7" and 2 HTC phones. Been having enough trouble with devices not working because of messing with them and then messing with them some more until I got things right, so right now, I'm kinda careful before starting messing with this one... LOL
Please advise?
Tablet crashes to bootloader when flashlight option is pressed in power menu. Also, settings crashes if you press a couple things. Antenna works, I don't know if data or Bluetooth do yet. Furthermore, three finger screenshot does not work. Loving this rom, very smooth!
Does mobile data work? Can't get mobile data to work on any AOSP ROMs for some reason, including the previous RR ROM. SM-T217S running OH1 Baseband
When I reboot my tab, a screen appears trying to load data and carrier info. I can only stop it by minimizing the screen.
My UI, settings and browser apps stops working randomly. The screen size in a couple of my apps are oversized or much larger than the screen. I haven't found a way to reduce the size as of yet.
Other than the minor bugs or glitches, this Rom is very nice, smooth, fast and easy on the battery.

Data may work. You have to do tweaks or change the props to meet sprint, try this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67963408&postcount=132

yes apps are getting stopped working randomly and that will get fixed when cm gets stable

Tried that and ensured that that network type is set to LTE/CDMA auto (PRL), but I still cannot get a mobile data connection. It recognizes that I'm on the sprint network, but the 3G or LTE icons don't show up and I can't actually reach the internet without being on WiFi.
Am I missing something? I feel like I'm the only one with this problem lol

This build is much better! Not as many app crashes as before, but still occurs. Camera app opens, but freezes up. I downloaded another camera app and it freezes also.
We have a choice of 3 launchers. RR stock launcher and pixel are excellent.

Just a question, this ROM (and Slimrom too) have the same issue with fingerprint as CM don't they?
For CM we had to delete all fingerprints registered before flashing the rom or we couldn't register any FP.

Yes except camera take photo is ok but for video install google camera version 3.2.045 that work for me.

I don't find any bugs.Otg is not working.

Yes the same!
Some users are facing bugs (like no imei on official updated nightlies), so there were no updates since 16-02-2017. Anyone not facing these bugs or can live with them can update from here till official nightlies starts. It is supposed to have bugs, so if you face any please revert to official nightly of 16th Feb and keep using that. I am not fixing so please don't report bugs here and specially on official rom's thread if you are using this.

Please if possible build XOSP . Pathetic update policy by developers towards XOSP.
Size difference may be due to changes done by abhishek is not in-sync with RR github. Like volte icon and other fixes.

I'm not on Sprint. Tried this:

but my preferred network type was already GSM only. Changing to 'Global Auto (PRL) pops up an empty white dialog with title Select SIM (no option).

This is the most flawless and snappiest ROM I've ever installed on my M7. It's also one of the most short-lived (17 hours on standby - ouch).
Could it be the settings of scheduler etc. in the kernel are too aggressive? Any suggestions for choosing less aggressive settings, compromising speed for battery life ?
Anyone with the Domestic Roaming issue, I've figured out a fix and it is tested working on this ROM by me. I tested it for Sprint, but you can most likely modify the file to work with your carrier. I don't want to clutter this thread, so I'll link to the one I created for troubleshooting purposes.

Using this fix, my phone actually picked up the APN settings by itself (from the SIM I presume). Entering APN settings doesn't FC as well.

Varies, but lasts me a whole day ~15hrs with regular use. This is about as much as I was getting with my previous ROM (the phone is really old with original battery).
The only bug I've encountered is error when trying to create a Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot. Simply says "Error" and doesn't turn it on.

Hi,
Can you add support for Substratum interfacer (OMS)? I heard that RR has OMS support built-in, but when running Substratum it always fall back to OMS rooted mode. Adding support for interfacer would be great because it reduces system resources usage a lot.

For the data, you might wanna check APN settings, make sure they are correct for your carrier or MVNO.

after installing Rom boot, it will show no sim and when you try going to Settings > More > Cellular Networks, you get a force close . Dont worry just flash this in recovery http://www.internauta37.altervista.org/en/patch-fully-enable-gsm-cdma-global-phones-android

Do a clean flash. 5.8.5 is a nougat rom, this is already an oreo rom
