i have an at&t s7 active that was frp and network unlocked. i am trying to use this on tmobile.
my s7 active is running android 7.0 G891AUCS2BQC2
i need the wifi calling option and like the S7A.
in posts regarding the S7 and S8 active i saw thoughts of needing to flash tmobile software to get this to work
the questions i haven't found a good answer for
1) it the mobile firmware (S7 and S7 edge the same) I don't wish to brick the phone
2) since Tmobile has S8 active could i use either the S8 or S8 active firmware?
any suggestions
thanks

Hi - Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I wasn't seeing a S5 Active section. I'm new to AT&T and seriously considering the S5 Active as I like the S5 but could use the extra protection, but I'm trying to find out a couple of items...
Has it received updates at the same time as the regular S5 on AT&T?
Is it rootable/rommable? The first question isn't quite important if I can flash versions of the latest software via a stock rom of some sort.
Thanks!
No it's a variant so most likely it won't be as up to date as other S5s.
It's rootable but bootloader locked so there's not many options for roms. S5 active is extremely behind right now.
Everything I have read about the S6 Active states the internals are exactly the same. Does that mean when the S6 is updated on At&t, I can expect to get the update on the S6 Active? :fingers-crossed:
Does your current S6 force updates on to your phone without any way to disable it?
Edit: I assumed that you have an S6 as well, sorry.
Why would ATT not offer advanced messaging for the S6 & S6 Edge now that they are running Android 6.0.1 marshmallow.
I think is strange the LG phones that updated to 6.0.1 received this feature. It seems like it shouldn't have been hard for them to add especially since the first phones to ever have it were Samsung's S6 Active and S5 Mini.

The S6 active will also have wifi calling. This would have been great to have as well.

Hello all.
I have a galaxy s6 active on 6.0.1 marshmallow. I know that the galaxy s6 and s6 Edge got support for RAW shooting and shutter speed control when they were updated to 6.0, but I am not seeing that for my s6 Active. Can anyone tell me if they have these settings, or Samsung just ignored the s6 Active?

See reply to other thread. I wouldn't bet on it being added ever. Samsung hardly supports a carrier specific device such as the Active.
Broke my Verizon S5 last night, looking at an ATT S6 Edge. Want to be sure its' fully rootable before buying.
Thanks.
