Is it possible to flash DSP Manager on my HTC One?
I'm currently running MaximusHD 21.0.0.
I've spent a day trying to find a good alternative.
But none of them have satisfied me.
Spent the last hours searching for a solution,
but didn't find a good one.
I can drop beats if that's what it takes.
Thanks!
Sure. You'd need to install the apk, but I'd be wary of using flashable zips intended for other devices. I have an old apk. However, it may have changed or been updated since the last time I grabbed it.

The thing is that the newer versions(from 1 or 2 years back) have dependencies(libraries and stuff).
The old one works as an apk. But all improvements from CM 9 & CM 10 are missing in that one.
That why I'm looking for a way to flash it. It seems to work for some people, but not for HTC One & Sense.

Sure DSP manager will work. I have a flashable zip, which I can upload the next time I'm on my pc. But do you want a better alternative? Try viper4android, and I promise you won't be disappointed. If you want it the easy way, download it from the play store instead of the thread.

I was looking at the Viper app, but it's more then I need. I really only need is a nice, simple non-bloat Equalizer.
My pair of Shure SE535 and HTC One sounds amazing together as they are.
But I want the ability to turn up the low end, high mids and turn down the high end
when listening to trance/chillout to get better ambiance and smoother sound.
Would really appreciate if you could upload it later!
Thanks!
Edit: Actually seeing the screenshots themselves instead of the bloated thread made me want to look it up anyway.
But when searching for viper4android I only get weird asian versions.

You know what? Skip it! I'll take a closer look at Viper4Android.
Looks really clean and simple now when I look at it.
Not at all like these mods ususally are.
Skip the DSP. Thanks for making me take a second look!

You're welcome I made you see it coz I myself used DSP for a few months, but after using viper, I never moved back
All are Asian, but English when you download, so download the one compatible with your os
Btw, our driver is cortex a8 with neon, when it asks

Ah, I see! Good one.
Yeah, I gambled on that one.
Works great so far!
I'm pleased with the audio quality on this phone but I'm wondering if there are any mods that make the audio through headphones even better?
I listen to music a lot so audio quality is very important for me
Yes, and there's only one /_\

Thank you very much, exactly what I was looking for ✌
Well yes, there is.
Viper4android,that's the one.
However it runs only fully (with all apps supported) on 4.2.x and 4.4.2 android on xperia devices.
Installing it normally will also work, but note with four example tunein.
If you wanna test this audio mod and want to know more about how to do this, you may contact me.

Well you can only imporve the quality by software, you can't change the hardware, and that's what those mods do
So yes, I'm now using only Viper4Android app (not from the google play) with all of the audio effects (that also include the dowloaded add-ons, which are the most important part of Viper), but on Xperia devices I've used a special audio mod, that enabled Viper4Android for all of the apps (and probably changed audio by itself).
I've written some special tutorial how to install it on Samsung (as S4 needed a bit different mod).
You can use any of the files in this thread, as it doesn't matter for Xperia's. My target is always to get Viper4Android working, as it's the best audio mod I've seen until now.
I don't know which version of Viper You've used, but You should check out 2.3.3.0, as it has soo many options (remember to switch to advanced UI).

Never used dreamingonmusic, I don't even know what that is, but you always might give it a try.
It shouldn't damage the ROM, but to be safe, better make a nandroid backup.
I believe this is a known issue, but I haven't seen any updates about this in a while and I'd like to know if anyone has some ideas why it's happening or a workaround (other than uninstall Xposed, which works by the way).

I LOVE your username...
Maybe optimum coded around rovo's workaround...
Ask in the module thread... Otherwise... Who knows...
There's an app called Irdeto fix. It said it wasn't available on my G3 but I sideloaded it after googling it and it works flawlessly. I just downloaded it and I have fully functional optimum. Just allow it on Xposed.

Didn't work for me. It even says on the project description that the latest Optimum app doesn't work with it.
But thanks! At least I have something to go by.

Thank you so much!!!!! This worked for me on my rooted Samsung Galaxy S5!!! This is exactly what I have been looking for! And now my Optimum app is working just fine. :good::good::laugh:
I just noticed you can't watch live TV on it though. At least I can control the DVR, which is really what I wanted it for anyway.

Yeah... i was so excited to get the app working and schedule my DVR recordings, that I didn't check to see if live TV works, and it doesn't. I'm really hoping there will be a fix for this soon.
I was hoping RootCloak might work to hide Xposed from the Optimum App, but last time I tried, it didn't work. Try giving that a go.

Yeah, I was hoping Root Cloak would work as well, that was my first issue. I actually stumbled upon a thread that said it wasn't a root issue, just an Xposed issue, which I didn't realize for the past like 2 years! That's how I found the Xposed fix for it. I even e-mailed the developer of Root Cloak to please include Optimum but I think it's two different things that are triggering the Optimum error.
I'm not rooted. Anyone know of a good equalizer I can use for Google play? Thanks.
I'm not completely sure. But to change that now would be needing root. Viper4android is wonderful but needs root. If you manage to find one though, would be good.

yup viper4android is THE BEST must have equalizer app
Viper is great, however he doesn't have root. (Nor do I for business reasons)
There are a few in the play store that sorta work but not great. Have you bothered to try the built in one?

There's this app. It does work on Google Play Music without root (I've used it on a Verizon Note 4). It works by turning down the volume of the other frequencies.
Thanks. I'm going to give the one Magicman suggested a shot. The stock one doesn't work to well (my opinion).
STOCK DTS:X TUNING
Introducing a Unity based audio magisk module. Completely AML Compatible. This module is not just for LG v30 but all LGs (or any other device) that have an audio_effects_tune.xml file. This is the file that the OEM uses to tune the presets. Please test and let me know what you guys think. Eventually im going to expand on this and create profiles selectable via vol keys during install. Profiles would be like Light Tuning, Medium Tuning and Aggressive Tuning. If you guys enjoy or have any ideas on how to expand on this please let me know. All 3 presets are tuned so please try them all out. Thanks! and Enjoy :good:
HOW TO INSTALL
Flash in Magisk Manager or in TWRP
If you enjoy and would like to help me out with deving then please fell free to donate!
Just give a thanks if you like the zip!
You want to help me with a [donation?] Not asking for it, I have fun doing this for you, but feel free...
Installed to try out but kinda confused.
didn't notice anything new or different in the "sound quality and effects" or "DTS:X 3D Surround"
would you mind guiding me?

"Different" in a good way? Thanks.
Just flashed, I am feeling a HUGE difference with "side to side" ! Maybe it's placebo, I'll try it for a few hours and revert back to unmodded.
Different preset chosen at flash time could be a good idea, but the best feature would obviously be adding these presets in the audio menu (like with the equaliser)... But it would require too much work right ?
Thanks for the module !

Not presets but tuning profiles. A light, medium and aggressive. The profile i have now in the zip is aggressive. Basically all tunings set to max
ill test it next couple of days and then uninstall mod for comparison. So far it seems the same to me >.> DTS is great though. I wonder if there is any other android with sound over bluetooth as good as this

Some people on g7 said only one of the things I'm tuning in the file actually works. I'm not sure but over the next couple of days I'm going to decompile the settings apk and see if I can find what dts is looking for when the presets are changed

That's actually a good point. It's kind of shocking I haven't seen any recent LG reviews talking about this. They all say LG has great wired audio, but nothing about Bluetooth.
Looks like LG needs to do some advertising.

Probably the asus Zenfone series imo. It's the device my team ported dts hpx from. Asus has the best dts hands down
I've been using this mod for a few days now and I have to admit that the sound is great, especially 'side to side' which is super juicy and can drive my 250ohms more easily then before
Poco F1?
I envy you guys relishing this on LG phones, but is there a possibility to get some of this DTS love for the Poco F1?
Cheers.
