Mods had deleted my lot of posts regarding the same. But it is what people here. some work on projects and other just clone stuff. Just build them.

its omni based not CM and as we have a smooth working omni i think it would be brilliant
unfortunately i have no idea what i am doing i have tried a couple of times using different instructions to port but with no success (get past sony logo to boot animation but no further sat there for 20 minutes just incase)
if somebody could tell me how to do this or maybe port it / compile it from scratch i would be very grateful

I have decides against it, but instead took omni sources and added custom features (halo for now). Check out my thread under V development called HalOmni and post suggestions for new features

No one has built carbon ROM for mm (AFAIK)
You'll have to wait till @notiflux builds the mm version (if its possible).
If you have a look at the official carbon rom download page (http://carbonrom.org/downloads/), you'll see that all the builds are lp builds. And if you have a look at the source code (https://github.com/CarbonROM/), you'll see that the marshmallow source is not even released. I'm also waiting for the source code to be released, only then I'm able to build it. We just have to be patient there...

It is a test build, of course they won't post it on XDA
It still exists and its build has been updated recently, I tested it and is very stable.

You can test with the link above, there is a group on the telegram for test Roms, just look in the discussion area.

Official Paranoid for G4 Play is impossible. The PA team do not buy Motorolas for some reason. PA is close source but not completely. So this PA won't have colour engine, new pie, pocket mode and all the other PA exclusive features

Correction: PA is not completely closed sourced. The ROM in itself is open source (that's how we are able to build it unofficially in the first place). Only certain main features like Color Engine, Pie etc are closed source and available only for Official devices.

Like I said, better look for an alternative. If I can't have the standout features, I might as well either wait for LOS 15 which will by that time hopefully include OMS or switch to one of the other OMS-enabled ROMs out there... crying shame really.
Excuse me for double-posting, but Paranoid Android has or will release the source to all the added features like PIE and Color Engine and stuff like that. Now even unofficial builds can have the same features as the officially supported devices

I tried it and failed already at the horrible description and the fact that the ROM doesn't officially exist for our device.
Turns out the dev made 4.22 builds - I tried them and they will not boot, so don't try them.

It boots up, sim doesn't detect, there is a blue flickering bootanimation. Colour engine, new pie and all other stuff are working. @Dark98. For people for which it didn't boot, when it is boot looping reboot to bootloader and then start. It should work. I hope this becomes stable

I presumed the flickering animation was a boot error - its done that on some past phones 0.o thanks for the information though.

Sim card should be fixed, and the boot animation is because the resolution isnt correct, but as far as I know the only bugs the ROM should have bow are camera problems

I built it from sources and then started to fix annoying stuff like bitonal flash not working when turning light on...
I have also, obviously, updated sources to latest security revisions.

Yes, Zenfone 2 it's not the most reliable phone... The Power grid GPU is directly under battery, so when charging it often overheats and damage the graphic chip. I changed the screen of my Zenny 3 times!

Asus phones after the Zenfone 2 are overpriced. Also I don't know how much a costum ROM affects stability in this phone, I'm guessing the Intel CPU doesn't help much

It very depended on kernel, i/o scheduler, governor,...
Our phone have Intel "Atom" processor, so speed and stability would not cause us worried. The thing we should pay attention is battery. Because Intel CPUs are battery hungry.

Also, I have been in this community for a long time but I've never come across a bug in the flash. What bug was it, which you fixed in the device trees?

Lol. I said what I said because he's a developer. So let me get this straight.. someone takes their own time and researches all ROMs available for our device (even ROMs not on xda) and you guys feels it's too hard to find rom in rom section? Or you're too lazy to do a Google search with the rom name, 6t and xda as the search which would bring you right to the exact xda rom thread you're looking for!?!? And now I should be reported because I'm grateful to the guy who made the thread and not looking to be spoonfed like said inactive developer? I digress lol
