[Q] Voice and Text Won't Work, Even After Unroot

Hey guys,
Yesterday, I flashed the LiquidSmooth ROM for the HTC One. After flashing the ROM, voice and text were not working (but it still showed that I had 4G) so I restored back to my previous CM11 ROM that I had before LiquidSmooth. Even in CM11 my voice and text were not working. So today, I decided to re-lock my bootloader and use the RUU file to unroot and go back to stock. It still doesn't even work! I cannot send or recieve texts, and when I try to make a call my 4G disappears and I get the error, "Unable to establish a wireless data connection. EHRPD: 0." I called my carrier (Ting) for help and they could not fix it. Can anyone please help me?

I'm having a similar issue. If I flash anything but Beanstalk, I can't send a text. If I flash Beanstalk, my bluetooth constantly crashes.

Has any been able to get it to work successfully? I've got my boot loader unlocked and I've flashed the latest nightly. The issue comes with my data. My network status shows a connection to sprint but calls, text and data will not work. My lock screen says there is a SIM error. Has any one found a fix for this?

I have found some what of a solution if it is at all helpful to anyone. I restored back to my RW 4.4.2 back up and was able to unlock the SIM using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/guide-success-sim-unlock-sprint-xt1056-t2825155. I then proceed to install CM 12. Once booted I was greeted with the same SIM error as I was originaly. However, after using the radio switcher and change apn apps from the play store I was able to have working data using the "auto CDMA(prl)" radio and "Sprint Internet" apn. I make/receive calls and texts and data works fine, but the provider still shows as "Roaming Indicator Off".

How were you able to go back to 4.4.2? Are you still using it on RW?

No network in phone...help needed

i unlocked my sprint htc m8 by changing the cid to 11111111. after that network appeared in the phone, but i could only make outgoing calls, no incoming calls were shown on the phone, so i decided to root the phone thinking maybe it would solve the issue, so first i tried installing the ARHD rom, which was not made for sprint, so then i tried the nusenseven rom, after installing the rom there was no network in the phone , it was always searching for network , and i couldn't even search network manually as those options were greyed as it was only searching for network, but i was able to receive incoming calls on the phone without network , but coudn't make outgoing calls due to no network, same issue happened in the skydragon rom,
anybody help me out to solve the issue please.

Have you tried ##72786# or ##786#(if you have msl code)
And press reset at top right

I am having the same or similar issue. Since installing skydragon I have a constant message in my notifications saying that it's "unable to establish a wireless data connection". No problem with wifi.

after pressing the above codes nothing appeared, where to press reset

Sounds like your missing EPST options, that's odd, can you flash Stock Rooted ROM and do that code.

If you flashed a rom that was not Sprint compatible (ARHD is not as far as I know) you messed up the partitions and the only way I know of to fix it is to RUU and start fresh.

ok, i again started again with stock and then a compatible rom with htc m8 sprint that is skydragon, still the phone has no network but i'm able to receive call, i don't know how.
in stock rom i was getting network with no incoming calls.

If not it's not going to fix you issue.

yes i did the ruu.,,, actually the problem was different, later after flashing i realized that the sim unlock method only works till lollipop, and i was trying with the marshmallow, so problem solved now,

I am sharing my workaround to new JIO network.
If you are on MIUI, you are fine.
Those who are on custom ROM, or willing to flash these ROMs, especially on CM 13 based ROMs, keep reading.
Tested on CM 13 nightly (20160920).
Just to be on safe side
Insert JIO sim in SIM 1 slot and any other SIM in other slot. Make sure both SIMs are inserted.
Backup previous system.
Pull out SD card.
To get uninterrupted Jio service you need latest(Lollipop) modem and firmware on your device. To do that flash fastboot rom file.
Flash Fastboot rom-

Let it boot.
Now you need to flash custom recovery(I am using TWRP).

Flash any cm 13.0 based ROM and Gapps.
After setting everything it is possible that you are not getting any network of JIO.
As JIO is only 4G network. Choose only LTE in sim cards setting.
To do that head over to Settings-SIM cards- SIM 1 settings-preferred network type-LTE
Access point names(APN setting).
Name- Internet
APN- jionet
keep everything else as it is.
you don' need to install Jio4GVoice(previously named as JioJoin) app.
To make calls mobile data(JIO) should be ON at all time.

It reboot every time when signal drops during call.
And it is likely to happen frequently as Jio signal is weak to penetrate wall!

I don't think for calling ,data have to on all time on cm 13.I can call without turning on data in cm 13 as it is volte supported.

How is the speed of downloads?? I am getting quite slow speeds afrer a day's use. Also data is on even after mobile data has been switched off from QS.

This means your stock Dialer supports VoLTE( I checked this in Jio4G Voice app) so use stock Dialer
and In India many operators mainly Airtel, vodafone and Idea have rejected interconnection with Jio which results in outright call drop or the message that The network is busy and some of it is fault if Jio as they're increasing their customer base even when they haven't got fully operational servers. SO don't worry as its free in India and there should be some flaws in anything which is free(specially in India)

I didnt get VOlte in my Redmi CM13 custom ROM
i'm unable to use VOlte feature through normal dailerwhether i switched the data connection to ON or OFF .,the call basically disconnects

That means ur device is not volte supported.If u r using any custom rom and if there is a "HD" notification,then u can call by stock dialer.Otherwise u have to use jio4gcall apps

i tried a lot of cm13 based roms and aosp6.0 based roms, something seems to be wrong!! Previously the volte worked in the cm13 roms... now it doesn't... its like it only reverts back to kk bootloader or detects only kk bootloader although I installed miui lp.... Volte only works in miui lp for me! Any suggestion? Help required!

SMS not working at all!!!

Hey guys! My Le-X526 is not able to send or recieve SMS at all. It was previously not working only with Jio but was working fine with airtel, now it isn’t working on both. Airtel still receives but when I try to send the balance is deducted and it says sent but I don’t receive the message on other phone and sometimes it straight shows up not sent and on jio? Completely blocked both ways. Nor does it receive any message nor does it send. I’ve tried various custom roms until now, flashed the 19s bootloader but it’s still the same, nothing wrong with the apn settings. VoLTE is working fine, mobile data is and so are calls.
What must’ve caused this guys? Is it hardware problem or did I **** up somewhere? It was working all fine before, it just happened out of blue.
What should I do?
Should I go back to stock? HELP PLS :crying:

Solved for me.
I installed stock, dialled *#*#4636#*#*.
Chose sim 0 or 1 (jio)
Enable option called SMS over SMP Or something.
At end update smsc number.
Voila.
Done.
Enjoy.
Not gonna find in custom ROM s dialer. So try n fix in stock ROM n then move to custom ROM.

I met a similar problem before, then I flash 2 different stock roms and it works again.
