Hi can someone port Tron kernel to MIUI 9 ROM? It's the only thing that I want to have in that rom. I always use Tron kernel coz I only have to charge 2x a day if i'm using that kernel but it doesn't work in MIUI 9 Pro. Thank you.

Tron is basically stock kernel.
Daredevil-s is also stock kernel 99%
Venom gives the best battery backup. Turning off all the screen-off gestures will double the standby battery.

Hi all!
I really like MIUI look and feel, and i am looking for a Battery Friendly ROM, based in MIUI, as i would like to keep with that feeling in the phone. Have tried lineageOK, but is seems too "cyano" for my like...
In my MI6, i use Epic ROM, and i am really happy with it, so i am looking for a MIUI based rom for my MI5. Can someone tell me a good battery rom, miui based?
Thanks for all in advance!
Try masik rom from kernels section. Nothing too special about battery but a lot of unused online/offline stuff are removed.
Just give it a try.

Check cpMiui. It's very nice with some tweaks and nice stuff
Just Google it
Go for xiaomi eu rom.The latest beta gives 6+ Hrs SOT.
I'll try to keep it as brief as possible.
I am well versed with rom flashing and also with the xiaomi ecosystem. I own a Redmi Note 3 pro myself and I know the bootloader unlock process and other stuff.
But I have no idea about the rom scene on Mi 5. I have been only active on the Redmi Note 3 forum because that's the device I own.
The Mi 5 for which I'm courting suggestions belongs to my sister. She's tired of slow miui and it's messed up notification delivery. So she asked me to fix it.
I'm planning to flash a custom rom. I unlocked the bootloader but I have no idea about which rom to flash. I will be here only 2 more days then I'm off to college in another city, so I can't really test different roms. I just need a stable rom that I can flash and forget and that she can use without any hiccups.
Oreo roms are not that stable on most devices right now and she really doesn't care for the latest Android version. Please suggest a stable nougat rom.
Thank You.

Edit: firmware 7.9.22 because 8.1.4 has problems with playing media over headset with this rom.

Kernel by DennySPb from this build https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=745849072291693325
I go with this kernel because the stock kernel from AospExtended has OC.

Thanks a lot!
What does OC mean?

Over clocking. I have the 32 GB model which CPU is down clocked by default to 1.8 ghz. The stock kernel in the original Aospextended is over clocked to 2.15 ghz. The SoC is capable of running this frequency btw, I just prefer the default frequency yo keep the phone from getting hot and extending battery life.
i'd say go with the cosmic os builds.excellent battery life and unlike aospextended i haven't faced any crashes.Probably set her up with the google camera hdr+ too.

Have you tried capricornCNFirmware-7.11.16? How does it compare to DennySpb kernel? Thanks
Best os is viper , 6+ hrs OST , wifi , LTE , chrome , Kite by zerodha , money control , whatsapp

Hi, guys.
I would like to change my Mi 9t pro from MIUI 11 to any custom ROM, because I'm looking for a ROM that gives me a better SOT and performance than stock MIUI 11.
What's the best stable ROM that I can find?
Ps: How can I keep the MIUI stock camera app in any custom ROM, or if it's included in some ROM (with no bugs, if it's possible), Wich ROM would you recommend me?
Thank you all.

I've been using EvoX for quite some time, have been enjoying it. It covers all the concerns that you've mentioned.

-MIUI will give you the best SOT. It has more aggressive battery optimizations.
-I can vouch for EvoX. There have been regular updates, it has the most user-friendly features, but the developer has taken a leave yesterday so the development in the next month or so maybe a little slow. Other option is Lineage.. It also has similar development.
-No rom will be as stable as MIUI. Fingerprint will be slightly slower on the roms.
-There will be minor bugs.
-For the MIUI camera, you can flash ANX Camera.
Hope i helped!
Asoip and extended ui rom are very smooth roms which i could recommend and are regularly updated. Also in Asoip rom it has the option of FP unlock with the screen off which is only in this rom i believe.
Unofficial Havoc 3.2 is the best AOSP 10 ROM I've used so far.
Install ANX Cam for stock camera experience on custom ROMs
TOP AOSP (popular): EvoX, derpfest, aosip.
TOP MIUI (popular): EU-LS, masik, miroom.

For best SOT , Miui is great.
There is a Flashable zip for stock camera in the Official Channel on Telegram.
And yes, some roms has fast fingerprint speed but some are slow as written in the comment above.
I like miui for its features, and its obviously most stable.
If you want customization with MIUI then use MIUIPro or MiGlobal Roms they have same performance with more features and customizations.

I love Evolution X Rom too but on my Redmi K20Pro, there is a Video playback issue where you play a video and it freezes for a couple of seconds frequently. Did you happen to experience this?
Just a question : k20 pro is a miui based phone and why there's no a lot of kernel for it?
Always kernel for aosp rom and not for miui.
Candy kernel is the last knew for me but doesn't work on his last version.
Anyone could build a great kernel for miui?
Thanks.

Pixel Experience is a good start. Nice smooth ROM with good battery backup. It however has very few customization options. If you want tonnes of customization you could try Project Elixir, but I don't know about its battery usage.
