I recently updated my P10 VTR L29 C432 from nougat to Oreo B360 via oreoupgrade script method as posted in forum but after update my bootloader seems to be locked again i wanted to root my phone via installing TWRP but it's not allowed by fastboot
Any solution or any solution to unlock bootloader without losing data !? I have too much files and apps on phone that i won't lose
I still have the same problem, created an thread many weeks ago and still don't have an reply. Seems like the only way is to make an backup with that backup tool in the settings (advanced->save&restore) or an backup with hisuite...
There's no way to unlock the bootloader without factory reset.
You can only do a backup with HiSuite or Huawei cloud - but notice: you need to backup DCIM manually!
Just a question, because you said, that you updated your phone with my oreoupgrade script:
Did you follow my guide exactly or did you do anything after the update progress was finished?
I need this information, because if this happens to more people, I need to take a look on the progress.

That's odd. All devices I testeds stayed unlocked after update.
The update won't lock the bootloader by itself - normally.
You're sure, that you didn't lock it manually?
Is only the FRP Lock active? You can unlock this by enabling the OEM Unlock in Developer Settings in the settings app.

Okay, that's bad. I'm sorry for this.
You need to unlock it with fastboot command and do a factory reset.
But don't know why the update process locked your phone while other stay unlocked.

Hello!
I recently rooted my new P10 Lite before version B124 was released, but then I decided to update my phone from B102 to B124 by flashing the recovery image from the Update file and then updating via OTA with the full update files.. The phone updated successfully but yesterday I used adb to boot into the bootloader in order to flash TWRP but noticed that FRP is now locked and i cannot flash TWRP without getting command not allowed error.
I also tried unlocking the bootloader (just in case it was locked for some reason) using the password i got from huawei but even that gives me an error. The enable OEM option in developer settings is greyed out since after the update and is till greyed out even after clearing cache and factory resetting the device. Now is there a way for me to unlock FRP again in order to flash TWRP? Or maybe another way to flash TWRP. Hopefully someone knows a way.
Use DC Unlocker.
I used it to unlock my bootloader on P9. Works perfectly.
They do FRP unlock and supports P10 Lite.
Costs 15 credits so 15 Euro.

Thanks bro. Wish i saw it before spending 15 credits in DC unlocker. Even after removing frp i am still not able to tick enable OEM unlock in developer settimgs or flash twrp in fastboot. Only thing on my mind right now is to lock bootloader and see if enable oem unlock option will be available after that.

But when you relock the unlock code no longer works, is that correct?
Yes due to FRP, some people say they have had success. I think best way around it is to use DC Phoenix and use the unbricking method, they do have frp removal but I haven't tried it yet

Thx. I try to figure out what could trigger frp lock. I guess it was factory reset from recovery level.
Theoretically factory reset from settings should remove it.
any help to fix ?

I was trying to rebrand and convert my phone to dual sim, only this can't be done on Pie and FunkyHuawei didn't make this known. And since I hit this issue out they are not responding to my emails anymore. Which sounds par for course with them from what others are saying. Anyway, I needed to downgrade to oreo to continue with the rebrand but oem unlock feature in developer mode was greyed out. So I did a factory reset but the oem unlock was still greyed out afterwards. And now when I go into fastboot, it is showing the phone as unlocked but FRP as locked. And I can't do anything in fastboot now as a result. Is there any way to unlock FRP again?

Well it seems firmware finder was my friend on this occasion. I found a load of folders and files with weird names on the internal storage and removed them. It seems these were were placed there by Funky as erecovery started working again, instead of twrp. And I wasn't getting the message to continue rebranding either. The internal storage was still read only, so I had a look at FF as a last resort. It recommended a higher version of the original so I went with that. It took around 3 hours for it to download and install but everything was back to normal afterwards. Including frp and oem unlock.
As for rebranding, well I'm no further on but I shant be trying it again until I can downgrade to oreo. If I could only figure out how to do that.

Honestly unless you really really need it. I wouldn't bother mate. Massive ballache
This is such a lame phone, can't wait to be rid of it.
Downgrading should be achievable by either hisuite or by a flash script. Literally just like installing a new os. I used the latter as hisuite bugged out after fiddling with host files thanks to fh. Search this forum for pats with the word numpty in title. I wrote an exact step by step on the process I followed
When you do the rebrand if you don't need dual sim, just use the standard debrand P20 tool and key the model and regions manually to ensure no **** ups.

If there's any dload firmware available for your device (search on androidhost.ru for your exact model and region), then you might have a chance to fix this issue, by downgrading/updating with the dload method.
Hello
I purchased the device of the title already unlocked and would like to return it to stock rom and lock the bootloader but I don't have the unlock code. I followed a guide found here using an otg cable and a pendrive to return to stock in hopes that it would also lock my bootloader but it did not. The procedure completed successfully twice, 1st going from .178 to .185 and second attempt from .185 back to .178. Every time the phone was factory reset but the bootloader remained unlocked. Any ideas on how to relock the bootloader on this thing without having the unlock code?

That's very strange, service firmware always lock bootloader but in your case it can't. Anyway I have two suggestions for you first go to developer option and uncheck OEM Unlock option then try dload.
Second is try this method Thread Link Click here. Third and last use erecovery for stock firmware restore.
Hope this will help you.
Thanks,

Hi did you tried above methods? What's the result? If not try TWRP tool which I've suggested you.
Another guide for you follow this link CLICK HERE.
I personally advise don't lock bootloader, if you don't know code ask your seller for it.

Hi. I'm in the same situation. I have a Huawei P30 Pro that came with an unlocked bootloader. The yellow message at startup is really disturbing. I would like to relork the bootloader but in vain. The fastboot oem relock command does not work. I flashed the firmware in ota and also by erecovery but nothing works. Recently I noticed on the back of the phone the inscription NOT FOR SALE. I don't know if it has anything to do with it or not.

Hi guys,
Sorry for this stupid question but how do you check your bootloader status on this device?
fastboot oem relock command need oem bootloader code.
you can try with full ota upgrade via OTG via Dload metod. long press the volume up key + volume down key + power button.
Choose the right firmware ,same country of your PHone (example europe C432).
But you are very lucky to have an P30 pro unlocked...don't relock.....

lets exchange phones i'll give you a locked one gimme your unlocked one friend
so, how can you do relock if you do not have the code? I have the same problem...
With the Moto Z, after I returned the phone to stock (flashed stock firmware and locked the bootloader), I'd be able to flash stock firmware with the flashing locked.
Not so with the Motorola One Zoom. In other words, flashing stock and re-locking didn't return the phone to its pristine state. Even when flashing stock firmware over stock firmware, I have to unlock the bootloader.
Differences I observed: on the bootloader screen, when re-locked the Z would show "oem_locked" again. On the One Zoom, it shows "flashing_locked" instead. I'm pretty sure it showed "oem_locked" before unlocking.
WIth the Z, every time I wanted to unlock the bootloader, I had to issue "fastboot oem unlock" followed by the unlock code. The code isn't necessary with the re-locked One Zoom.
In other words, maybe it was a one-way trip. It seems that the phone won't return to its original state, it looks it's modified for good. And I'm afraid this means bye-bye to automatic updates.
Am I missing something here?
My bootloader is also unlocked and I dont have any problems with receiving and installing OTAs I also have Magisk and EdExposed installed - no problems at all.

What instruction did you use to unlock the bootloader?
What region is your device manufactured for?
Does your PC see your device connected to the fastboot mod?

I have the Moto One Zoom running on Android 9.
Also, It's Rooted with Magisk and have Riru EdXposed installed, can I install my OTA updates without bootloop or do I have to Uninstall Magisk, relock bootloader and factory reset/flash stock firmware to get latest OTA updates?
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks
