CyanogenMod and custom ROMs are two different things. It is true that you can create custom ROMs based off of the CyanogenMod builds, but since we don't have those stable builds, the devs create ROMs based off of the i9000 etc. ROMs.
The CyanogenMod builds are built from scratch; that is why we don't currently have a stable CM build. Once a stable CM build is out, though, there'll be some awesome ROMs based off of it.

I can hardly wait.
Looking for simpler and stable ROM for my HTC incredible S...
Just asking if anybody using MIUI Rom nowadays?
I can see two versions on MIUI site...
http://en.miui.com/download-10.html
1. Developer ROM, Author: MIUI Official TeamVersion: 3.2.22 (V4) Size: 265M
2. Ported ROM, Author: xyxuliangVersion: 4.11.28 (V5) Size: 174.34M
So, anyone using or used recently MIUI Rom, can tell me which is most latest and stable MIUI Rom?
The Developer ROM is more stable, because it was built by official miui team. The Ported ROM has (as you can guess) been ported to the phone by a developer from another phone. Everything in the ported rom is functional, but it may have some bugs here and there.
Why don't you go ahead and try both of them if you have the time. Then you can report back here so other people can benefit.
WE really need rom based on CM11 Latest update its very fast and stable and light . but the stock CM11 has no extra options . we need carbon or RR or Slim roms but using the latest KK CM11 Updates .
Thanks
Hi,
I know there are 7.0 or even 7.1 Roms for Thea but I'm looking for the simplest one without any super features cuz i don't need them. For Titan ther is these Rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo.../rom-aosp-oms-substratum-moto-g-2014-t3470909 simple and stable. There are even sources and the dev will help to build it for sure - he don't want to build it because he has no testing device. So here is my question:
Is there some dev willing to build the simples and standard Rom for Thea? I thought every Android development should start and be based on AOSP rom...
any idea if there is a custom rom with the latest official redmi 4x kernel that was released by mi?? pretty sure that will erase the failing network problem. does anyone have and idea if there is one?
if you like MIUI, then go for xiaomi.eu rom, they are stable. but if you like AOSP, i dont know what aosp rom is stable.
