both protectors are good but I don't think u need this because of Corning gorilla glass 2 ur device screen will not get damage unless u use it very roughly

If u use ur tablet normally don't buy gorilla glass is enough

I've had this thing since launch, used it daily, screen still looks like new (if I clean it!)

I find the screen to be pretty durable. If you're careful you will not scratch it. The back of mine is scratched pretty badly just above the NFC chip.

im not using any cases but i do have a screen protector on the front and i do recommend tempered glass for back because it gets scratched very easily. Glass itself seems very durable. I've been using z3c for 5 months now and everything still looks brand new. hope i helped

I have not seen a Z1 compact. While the glass looks nice on the back, yes I think it should probably be a different material because it does scratch too easily.

There are some tempered glass protectors for the back on Ebay, DevilCase also sells one that it pretty high quality.

yes there is glass on front and back of the phone as standard, but since it gets scratched easily i put another glass on the back, and you can get tempered glass on ebay or amazon or some china shops very cheap

Screen protector messed up, remove it?

Hey guys,
My Xperia Z1 is 2 weeks old and I carried it in a flip case but still the included screenprotector has tons of scratches on it do you guys reccomend that I remove it?
EDIT: does the back glass have a screen protector too? And if i remove that will I remove the logos?

Yes , the back side has screen protector but if you remowe it you will not lose the sony xperia and nfc logo . If you remove the protectors sugest to replace them with tempered glass protectors because the back/front of the phone are more fragile without protectors .

Just removed the front protector (the back is not scratched yet so I will not remove it yet) And I got a bunch of ghost touches at first, after wiping the screen the ghost touches were reduced to a few but it's quite annoying, I assume this is just some glue residue left from the screenprotector? If so what would be the best approach to get rid of that residue?

Clean the screen with something . The ghost touches are from residue and buy a tempered glass for the screen because if you let it like this and scratches are going to appear on it then you wont be able to remove them.

Yeah just found that one too! And they sell it in my country YES!

Agree on the tempered glass instead. Feels much nicer.

Really need to know if this works with cases like Otterbox or orzyl grip pro, using Otterbox now but I have ordered both orzyl tempered glass screen protector and Grip-Pro Case so need to know if they work well with this

It's 2.5D so it has the same finish as the phone.

Great video, one question is the clear part of the screen protector also bonded to the screen, reason I ask is because I bought one off eBay with a very similar design to this but the clear part had no bonding therefore leaving a 'pocket of air', this was a week ago the only thing about really.

One question where did you get the 0.24mm ?I can only find the 0.33mm thickness ,even in the official site the 0.33mm is available.

Here you go.
No hollow edges.. Its a side to side tempered glass.. Only problem is rainbow effect because the glass sticks only on the edges. The transparent glass doesn't have glue on it.. This is a problem with all edge to edge tempered glasses.

Nice but I want a full transparent glass.
I read on Youtube about this glass, not as good as full glue transparent glass.

If you want full glue tempered glass which fits completely then theres no such glass.. Full transparent will have hollow edges or wont fit the whole screen.. I have used all types and this is the best IMO

Look in the other tempered glass thread. I posted about one that is a hybrid tempered glass and carbon fiber soft edge that covers the entire screen, full glue on back and the carbon fiber edges are curved to match the 2.5d edges of the screen.

Still there is no glass tempered screeen for RN4.. all of them have black border to conceal the curve. Even the plastic film based glass is not available now
