Dolby Atmos for EMUI 8

Hi, i have the new update oreo for european devices, i test a port but dont work. Its possible Dolby Atmos and Viper4Android on EMUI 8

but in magisk there are only versions for nougat

Salve! I created a Magisk module which enables the dual-speaker mod on Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi 6X.
I will try to make it louder step by step to avoid damaging the earpiece.
All of the tested updates will be posted here so keep an eye on it.
Instructions:
Download the Magisk module from here and flash through Magisk or TWRP.
Tested on latest Android One and MIUI 10 on both Mi A2 and Mi 6X. Works with Viper4Android and other DSP mods.​

Cover the speaker grill and you will hear the sound coming from the earpiece. As I said in the thread, I boost the volume step by step to avoid the damage. It is a low-quality earpiece so I need to take it slow.

Can you make it compatible with magisk v16.0?

Yayyy tks u, i have been waiting for this mod. Tested. It's work. Now i can play pubg just like my iphone X haha.
Found a bug: when i test for left-right speaker.
Left speaker: earpiece and main speaker.
Right speaker: only main speaker. (Fine)
My rom is AOSP Extended, android 8.1. clean install.

Is it safe to turn the volume all the way up? I'm worrying it will crackle

Thanks for the mod! Tested it. Works, but the volume is very low. I guess the volume should be raised a bit and the sound should be filtered, leaving only high mids and highs for the front speaker.

It worked, but after i flashing Viper4fx and Viper XHiFi, then it's doesn't work at all (even after removing viper or reinstalling the mod or both)

doesn't work (a2 september patch magisk on and module installed and activated, audio comes only from below speaker in all situations)

These kind of mods usually damages the earpiece.

With AML, Viper4Android its not working

Maybe it could be louder?

First of all its not my work all credits goes to @A.R.I.S.E. Sound Systems. @heindrix for dolby digital magisk module.
As we knows that dolby atmos is not working from. Long time on pie roms but this is working from oreo to pie any rom any device.

If same oreo package is supported in pie why should you start a new thread, people can directly use the one from Oreo thread itself.

Oreo version is not supported for pie roms. But yhis pie suppoting version is working on oreo too.
Oreo version is already available but pie support not there it is available just now. I never create useless threads friend.

What ever it may be but its doubly product ?

crashes on startup. using Oneplus 3t android pie havic os.

I'm running LOS 16 Android 9. I installed TWRP. The sound from speakers is amazing. No DDP crashes. Phone calls are forced to speaker phone. Bluetooth is connected for music streaming, Bluetooth control works on BT device. The sound still comes out of the phone speakers. Any suggestions?

I am on Zenfone Max Pro M1 with Pixel Experiance CAF OS.
Not rooted and not installed magisk.
Can i flash above zips via TWRP ?
Will i need to flash NXP first befor dolby digital plus ?

Installed Successfully and App launches smoothly..
Did ADB Sideload the (Magisk Module) [Oreo-Pie]Dolby_Digital_Plus_v.6.4-[UNiTY][Light]_by_repey6-20190512 using TWRP.
Runs with POSP Pie-Aug-Security Patch on One Plus One
Yet to check the output difference with and without DDP.

Same here n phone calls are still forced to speaker after uninstalling

I'm getting crashes every time I open up the app. On cRDroid 5.5 right now.

Whenever I try to flash dolby atmos, i get stuck in a bootloop and then the only way out is to remove the module from the recovery. I am on pixel plus ui android 11.
Anyone with a better luck??

Hi there, the one attached works well for me. Flashed via Magisk with AML and rebooted. However i'm on MIUI 12.0 so it probably won't help you in case if the issue is Rom-wise.
But if you're going to try, good luck anyway.

You can find it here....

Is it there in the Indian version? When I updated to 12.5 there was just an audio preset option available, couldn't find Dolby there

He said it is available in 12.5 Global ROM, not Indian version ROM. If you want Dolby Atmos, install latest 12.5 Global ROM. It is available in Sound Effects. There is no separate app for Dolby Atmos in official/stock MIUI.
I am using 12.5 Global ROM on Indian version Pro Max device.

Earlier I was on OnePlus ported rom on a different device and as you know it has inbuilt Dolby Atmos too, but when I set it's equaliser to None, and installed a real Dolby Atmos app the sound came out to be better... I don't know why that happened but probably the app is better compared to the inbuilt Dolby support...
What do u guys think about this?

Well, you are correct. I even installed third-party Dolby Atmos only after turning off the in-built atmos, then only it works as it should.
Btw I requested a developer to see if the in-built Dolby Atmos can be removed and a ported app can be included in the MIUI ROM itself. He said he will try. Let's see.

If the modules from the above links not working in your current ROM, you could try a modified module that would work on custom ROMs with OSS or MIUI vendor for sweet. Search it or ask in official telegram group for this device.
BTW if the module is not compatible with the ROM, it won't get installed, but may not cause bootloop, but be careful!
