Hello everyone. When I used a note 7 I was sick of spending money on a curved protector, so a dude I knew used a flat protector from another Samsung phone on it, the plus was that it was great, the only con was that the edges were left out, but since I never used the edge screen, I didn't bother.
Is that a possibility with the Note 8? Which phone's screen protector would fit, in a way the edges aren't covered, just a flat tempered glass
There is a forum section devoted to accesories, you might get some more help there, as there are already threads about screen protectors, luck

If you are going to get a Galaxy S6 edge, what will be the best tempered glass screen protector for your Galaxy S6 edge? or are you going to live it naked?
If the Galaxy S6 Dual Edge is true, I wonder if what will be the accessories maker will do to copy the edge of the phone, I think its really difficult to achieve.
Here is the screen protector so far that I found
Best Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Galaxy S6 by iVoler
the best will be none. i don't get what the hype is about tempered glass. it is not going to work properly on this phone.. if u want a screen protector, get a squeegee type one and call it a day. otherwise have fun wasting your money on snake oil.. glass on a curved screen does not work well.
maybe join the discussion on the 5 other tempered glass threads, heres one if u cant find it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3043949

Unless if they curve the edges of the screen protector itself...
I wonder if they thought of a hybrid protector.. i.e. Tempered glass for the non-curved parts of the screen, and the standat PET for the Curved parts..
standard PET? What about the potential gaps? It will great to see what Note Edge users say about this.

How would they be fused together?
My advice is buy normal protector, glass and curved edge do not work well (ask me I know well, ala Note Edge).
Just wanted to bring everyone's attention to a thread I just started, please feel free to go here and post your submission should you find any further promising options.
Curved Glass Screen Protector Thread
Hi everyone, I got the S6 Edge and I really enjoy it, this is for me the best smartphone ever regardless the price ^^
As we all know, the S6 and S6 edge are protected by the last Corning solution : The Gorila Glass 4. This one is great against scratches and damages according to some videos on youtube.
So I was wondering if we really need a screen protector - due to the expensive price for a GOOD one which covered all the two curved parts. I can't imagine to put one without having the two edges parts uncovered : , I've already done this to my NOTE EDGE and trust me this is really ugly

Did someone already have scratches on his S6 or S6 EDGE ?
what do you guys think about the resistance of the Gorilla Glass 4 ?
To sum it up, what do you advice me to do ?
Thanks a lot , kind of i'm getting a little bit confused with that
i think you will always get micro scratches over time, i dont use cases find them ugly and in the way but its always a risk, i myself will be getting a tempered glass front and back when they are available
There was scratches on the demo units at the launch event...any screen will scratch even GG4. It comes down to whether it will bother you if it does scrtach, and if you're willing to take the risk?

Do you need a screen protector, the answer is depends on how much you like your screen. The cost to replace the screen is $200 the cost to replace a tempered glass screen protector is $20-40 depending on the device. The Amzer Kristal product is still in mfg and will be here (soon) when its ready. For now I have a simple clear screen protector, but glass is always better.
BTW, my co-worker and his wife both have iphone 6+, she didn't think she need a glass screen protector, well she dropped hers and yup broke the screen, $200 later new screen, then a week later and still no glass screen protector, my co-worker used her phone and set it down on the kitchen counter and it missed, and yup another shattered display and another $200 spent. Now she has a screen protector, I had a spare around since I sold my iphone 6+ for a Galaxy S6 Edge 128GB.

Thanks for answering guys !
I took a microfiber and cleaned the screen .... it's already a little bit scratched : OMG
I'll buy a protector screen tomorrow
The GG4 is definitely built for damages not really for scratches ...... :crying:
I have to have a screen protector on even if it's this ****ty translucent orange peel that they call Skinomi until a true tempered glass comes out. If I even notice a tiny scratch I'll looking at it constantly

Maybe, maybe not ..........
My S$4 was just retired with a well scratched plastic protector. It was plastic and scratched easily. Now with it removed I have a nice new looking phone that isn't being used (after taking the protector off). I suppose if I sell it used that will be worth something. My point is that if you use plastic, you will be replacing the protector once or twice a year or living with a badly scratched protector because they scratch easily. A glass protector will last longer, but likely isn't as scratch proof as the Gorilla glass so it too may need to be replaced once or twice before you retire or sell the phone. I don't drop my phone often so haven't gone to that expense ... a rubber or silicone case around the phone protects the screen from breakage because the phone most likely will land on an edge and that breaks the screen rather than a hit to the screen itself. That protection is more valuable than a screen protector from a breakage standpoint when it comes to dropping. Even a screen protector won't help if you sit on your phone. I don't plan on a screen protector for my S6. I'm going to enjoy having a clear screen and take care of it. I did well with the S4 and will do even better with the S6.
Hello Guys,
I am waiting for my s6 Edge which will be arriving next week and i'm super pumped. So as you my suspect, i have gone through a lot of review videos and articles on the phone's performance and accessories and stuff. One thing i hadn't considered until yesterday was installation of a screen protector. So I looked up tempered glass screen protectors and think they are really cool.
My question is the look of the phone if/when i decide to remove the tempered glass screen protector to install another one or continue life without one. Any one got any link to a video illustration of this or any article...or your own experience ?
As most of you or each one would agree the s6 Edge is a good looking phone and maintaining the beautiful look is on all our minds.
Phone will look the same upon removal. There aren't any worthwhile tempered glass options for this device
Sorry ,i am using a general screen protector...i think glass protector is too thick.
if you wanna a general one , i will recommend you a good screen protector..
yes, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge looks cool , Have you ever considered the colorful glass screen protector?
I am using a tempered film now. But only for several days.

I have a curve screen protector and it works great especially with the case I have on it
Huawei P30 pro has same screen size/dimensions as our device, and so i purchased this screen protector https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N2MVBXF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 works like a charm.
I followed your advice, picked up this screen protector and it works great and wraps around the curved part of the screen. No issues with it lifting yet, especially where I have a silicone case sitting on the corners of the phone where the screen protector sits. I would prefer a glass protector but I doubt if they will ever make a good one for this one. From past experience and online reviews, when looking at tempered glass protectors, those that have a black edge around the protector. That is where they apply the glue to stick to your phone. This creates a halo/bubble effect in the center of the screen where there is no adhesive. I tend to buy only the ones without the black edges. I'm waiting for Whitestone Dome to come out with one for this phone. I got one for my other half's S9+, works brilliantly and has full screen adhesive plus curves for the edge. Not sure if this one would work for our phone plus its out of stock lol

I went with glass for now, and it not covering the curves is honestly no big deal for me.

I use the fingerprint scanner a lot. Does the glass protector hinder it at all? The film type protector has no issues with it so far. Just not as smooth as glass of course

I'm about to buy what y'all suggested. Unfortunately, I bought the j&d screen protectors, and it doesn't even stick to the screen where it starts to curve. Has anyone found a better case for this phone? It just feels so fragile and I don't want to break it. Lol
Finally found a glass screen protector full adhesive for our device https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085C1WNPR/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_uj.3EbV1PRA50
The instructions have to be followed to the teeth or the install will be messed up.
