I just received my new oneplus 3t
After setting up the basics I updated to Android nougat
It gave an error,
the phone reboots, asks for my code, entered my code started decrypting, got stuck, after 10 mins the phone reboots and the cycle repeated.
Called the help desk, got into recovery mode, wiped everything and now it keeps rebooting into recovery mode.
Is there a way to get out of this?

What do you mean by "everything"? If I guess correctly, just get the full 4.0.2 and sideload it from stock recovery.

I mean the hard reset, kind of a noob here.
I have the option to install from internal storage but the customer service said that might break my phone or something.

I'm pretty sure atock recovery has the option to install via adb sideload - but I had to admit, I've never seen the stock-recovery...

Boy, you own a OnePlus device:
https://oneplus.net/nl/support/answer/will-rooting-or-unlocking-the-bootloader-void-my-warranty
One of my main reasons to go for oneplus!
BTW: these devices are really hard to brick - and if you have bricked it, there is an unbrick-tool...
BTW2: adb sideload does not unlock boot loader or make 3t explode. sideloading a rom is just an other method to update stock roms.

I have exactly the same problem. Do we have any stock ROM we can try to use to install it via recovery? Cos I can't access to internal storage, and there's an option in recovery to that (but i have nothing on it...)
Same issue just today, download adb for your computer, download the file from one plus and sideload it. I had to place the file in the adb folder on my computer to get it to work correctly.

One plus 3T stuck in recovery no acces to internal storage PC
Helle everybody,
A couple of weeks ago i unlocked my boot-loader of my one plus 3T.
I was also planning on rooting my phone and flash a custom recovery but i could not acces the internal storage of my phone through my laptop (win 10). So after a couple of hours trying i decided this was to complicated for me and just went on using my phone without a custom recovery/rooting... but with my bootloader still unlocked.
Today i received an OTA update and installed it. Now i have a big problem i am stuck in TWRP recovery mode and still cant acces my internal memory through my pc.... so i cant flash the factory ROM and reboot my device. Does anybody know how i can get acces to my internal memory or how to get my device out of TWRP recovery mode? I am really a beginner so please explain clearly.
Greetings Bas

Dear gurus,
It has been a long week for me with family going to hospital etc. Today, my mi5 decided to take a route to haven. I had my mi5 in my pants pocket and i think it probably decided to try to unlock multiple times and I got locked out from Android.
Now when I power up my phone, I got an image telling me to plug a usb cable to it.
I do not want to factory reset the phone first because my photos aren't in synch with Google photos and they are important photos with my families. At the same time I do not mind factory default reset it but only after I get my photos.
I have tried many things, sites saying I need it to be in developer mode, or volume up and pwr gym. They are to no avail.
I hope someone can give me advice what should I do.
My os are windows, and vm in linux. I can program in either or.
Thanks.
If u have twrp u can mount storage.
Check on MIUI Forums for a possible solution to unlock your device.
If you can't find any i recommend to get your device's bootloader unlocked on en.miui.com/unlock and then flash TWRP recovery in Fastboot mode through ADB.
You will be able to access storage from TWRP recovery.
hi friends, i need so much your help!.
I have xaiomi mi5, the operating system of the cellphone has been updated, and then the device has entered the loop.
He can not get up at all.
I've tried to do so far:
FAST BOOT - but even the computer can not read the device despite all the permissions I have approved for the computer.
MIPCSUIT - does not work well because the computer does not recognize the device.
Your help must be smart and good people!
I am also stuck with the same problem.
At least I can get fastboot.
I think if you OK to loose data then just go to recovery mode with Volume up + power button pressed together. And wipe all. This may solve the problem. But I don't want to loose data I am skipping this option.
If any one knows other way to unbrick without full wipe then please let us know.
Thanks
have you unlocked bootloader?
you can try run by fastboot twrp recovery mode.
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
after few seconds phone boot to recovery, you can encrypt the phone and copy data.
twrp is here
My bootloader is locked I think.
I tried that command. Didn't boot to twrp.
Any other way.
Anyway Thanks for suggesting.
Are you on latest MIUI global stable? I think Xiaomi's guys ****ed it up this time around and got bootloop for everybody on latest update.
Take a read here and good luck: http://en.miui.com/thread-2776961-1-1.html
ok listen me... if you have got unlock permission and unlocked your phone or you have unlock code.. you must bind your acc with other xiaomi phone easly enter your acc and bind acc now go fastboot download mi flash unlocker install adb driver and unlock then you can flash stock rom i had that problem and i solved
Hello,
I had similar issue.
To be able to start phone/miui you should remove sim card,
in my case it was connected to connecting to cell network that caused reboot.
Than it will be possible to update phone using WiFi.
For me issue was solved with V9.5.2.0.NAAMIFA update.

Lifesaver here!
This worked perfectly for me! Go figure?
Cheers
You can try
I tried version gemini global images v10.2.2.0. OAAMIXM 2019115 GLOBAL but failed then tried v8.11.22.20181122.000 8.0 GLOBAL but failed then 2 month later i tried with good battery and good on off and main important is version GEMINI GLOBAL IMAGES 6.11.10 _20161110 and version GEMINI GLOBAL IMAGES V7.2.4.0.MAAMIDC 20160129. AND GUESS WHAT SUCCESS. NEVER TRY WITHOUT BATTERY AND WITHOUT EDL POINT. EDL POINT FOR UNLOCKING BOOTLOCK AND DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE FLASH FILES WITH GOOD INTERNET WITHOUT INTERUPPT SO FLASH SUCCESS. MY 2 MOTHERBOARD OF MI5 SAVED WITHOUT HARDWARE. HOW TO KNOW SOFTWARE OR HARDWARE....1ST CHECK CHARGING HAPPENING OR NOT IN SWITCH OFF AND CAN IT GO TO FASTBOOT MODE OR RECOVERY MODE. IF ALL THIS GOOD GO FOR FLASH IN SAME PROCESS. OTHERWISE HARDWARE AS STATED THAT RESISTOR ALSO PLAY A VITAL ROLE IN BOOTING OR STUCK AT MI LOGO. MOISTURE IN PHONE UNDER IC REQUIRE HEAT WITH PASTE AT HARDWARE LEVEL.
Hey folks,
I'm having trouble regaining access to my device.
I own Xiaomi Mi A2, and sadly it has been stuck on boot loop since around 10 days.
The issue occurred whilst it was being used on split screen mode. Device suddenly lag spiked and froze for a couple of minutes, then restarted and has been boot looping ever since on ‘android one’ screen.
–Device information–
Device: Xiaomi Mi A2
ROM: (system ROM has been untouched)
OS: Android 10
OEM: Locked
Bootloader: Locked
Root access: False
USB debugging: Disabled
Recovery mode: Accessible
Fastboot: Accessible
My question is, are there any method/s which let's regain access to the device whilst keeping all the data (including installed applications and their data) intact as they were prior to the ill-fated incident?
It may or may not affect the further procedures but it should be noted that i have attempted to force restart the device several times from recovery mode and it hasn't been any helpfull at all. The device seems to be bricked.
— I have explored on several other threads and forums, folks who were dealing with similar issues.
Then again, is it possible to fully recover the device with little to no data loss?
Any kind of provided help will be much appreciated!
Regards~

That.. sucks.
Exactly how, which backdoor could have allowed me to regain access to the data?

None that is why the bootloader comes locked.
If you had previously unlocked, maybe flashing twrp you be able to decrypt and adb pull via twrp or use mtp

With locked phone all SW backdoors are locked. The major hope is that after numerous reboot attempts phone will finally boot into the other slot, presumably having operative ROM version. The other hope is that it is a minor HW glitch like internal cable disconnection.

So there is still a hope.. at the very least.
Would that mean manually rebooting via recovery mode or just by holding the power button all day long...

I'd try this:
reboot > (fast)boot
load TWRP boot.img
then use the fix boot loop option in advance settings and see what happens.

Stolen locked phone still can be reflashed in EDL/TEST-point. Unlocked bootloader won't expose your data if you are still using encryption and pwd-protection; Magisk still is capable to hide unlocked state (though Google can stop this any moment). So, IMO until Google does not enforce server SafetyNet checks in a way that cannot be tricked by Magisk devs, there are 0 reasons to have phone locked.
if you can get to fastboot mode try to run the "fastboot continue" command from adb.
Hi everyone,
I have similar issue on my xioami a2 lite. The phone stuck on bootloop.
I have UNlocked bootloader and fastboot is accessible. (the devices is rooted)
I think that the problem is "low space", in this days I saw the notification of low space available and often the phone restarted automatically.
Can I fix this? can recover data?
Is the possibility of deleting some files from a PC wrong as an idea? but how?
Very very thanks
Other questions: Can I try to erase cache from fastboot command? It's safe?
Update: I try to boot in TWPR, but I cannot "data" partition. (invalid password)
I noticed that my default slot is "partition B". (I don't remember witch one is right).
So, I chose Slot A and android will boot, all is OK but Magisk doesn't work. (I think that is flashed on partition B).
Now, I have deleted some files, now there is enough space. I try to set back partition B and android will boot OK but magisk app saw that "root permissions are lost, reinstall default apk".
Can Slot switch breaks magisk? what do you recommend to do?
Hello everybody.
I currently have a Mi 11 with a broken screen (touchscreen works but no image is visible).
I want to recover all the user data inside it, because there's important stuff I need to backup.
I have tried booting into EDL and follow this guide, though while trying to load the EDL mode it says FAILED (remote: 'Error Invalid Parameter').
The bootloader is locked, and since I want to take some data from it I cannot unlock it as it will wipe everything inside.
I also have tried having the screen from a USB-C to USB-C/USB/HDMI adapter, it shows nothing. It's not an adapter issue as it works with a OnePlus 8 Pro.
I currently am in lack of solutions and I really need to back everything up.
Thanks in advance for any person that can enlighten me.
Did you prudently enable USB debugging mode?
