Hi,
I have the same problem, is anybody could help us?

Hi,
I finally unbricked my phone by forcing installation of update Full-OTA B357 from SD card.
Here is the URL I followed :
http://www.stechguide.com/honor-5c-b357-nougat-update/
In step 1 just replace the step with *#*#2846579#*#* by a cold start while pressing up and down volume keys.
For step 2 you can proceed like indicated.
My phone is back! I was able to install B359 right After using OTA notification.

Hello,
I've the same issue, but it is a NEM-L22C636B355.
Unfortunatelly, the process ends with "Software install failed".
What can be wrong?

first think phone must in stock recovery, honor 5c use 2 recovery. you can reflash recovery image via adb command. after installing recovery and recovery2 you can flashing via dload metode, cek the firmware there can single zip/2nd or 3rd zip if getting from ffinder. sorry my bad English

go to fastboot mode from power off phone, to flashing stock recovery. then copy update.app for flashing rom from sdcard via dload mode
btw , emui 4 or emui 5 last instaled at your phone?

It was EMUI5. Then I've installed a twrp recovery and SuperSu.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5c/help/flash-recovery-nem-l22c636b355-t3701720
When a rom update to NEM-L22C636B356 has been proposed by the system, I've tried to install a stock recovery but it failed. I've bricked my phone when relocking it in order to reunlock and being able to install a recovery with adb.

I've succeeded to restart in fastboot&rescue mode, but my phone is:
PHONE relocked
FRP lock
So when I try to unlock oem, it fails.

if you have twrp recovery, then you can installing rom with "fullota-mf-pv" version. but cek the firmware, usually there in 2/3 zip. update.zip, full_data_xxxxx.zip, update _data.zip. flashing update.zip in last(full_data first then update.zip) booting more time, be patient

After some tests
I've rechecked.
When I start with Vol+ & Power, the phone tries to update the ROM and fails.
"Software install failed
The update package does not exist.
Please download the package again"
My interpretation is that the installed Recovery is stock.
When I try the dload method with an update.app in the dload folder of a sd and if I start with "Vol+ & Vol- & Power", I have:
With NEM-L22C636B150 update.app,
I get the message:
"Software install failed
Incompatibility with current version.
Please download the correct update package.".
My interpretation is that the phone is not EMUI4.
With NEM-L22C636B355 update.app and with NEM-L22C636B357 update.app
I get the message:
"Software install failed!
Get help from: http://www.emui.com/emotiondownload.php?mod=restore".
My feeling is that I don't have the right complete EMUI5 update.app file.
Any comment?
Update:
I have unbricked my phone at the 8th tentative of dload method. As I had saved every thing with Hisuite, I've recovered all my data's and application. :victory:

Can you tell me how you fix your phone pls? I had a same problem as you and now my phone is brick, i can't do anything with it :crying:

Can you try dload method. If you are not aware, there is a guide in my signature. Try that, thats the best method to revive phone from any situation. Else check if you are able to download rhe firmware from erecocery.

Hi,
I have a L22C636. I fixed the problem with the Dload method (copy update.app in a blank sd). The only update package which worked was NEM-L22C636B355 . You need a full update firmware compatible with your phone.
You must try until success. I've tried 8 times.

Thank you so much, i have unbricked my phone using the dload method. Yayyy

Hard Bricked P9 Lite

Hi, i have a big problem: my phone isn't starting up anymore. Yesterday i upgraded to Nougat, and all was fine. Then i decided to install Revolution ROM, so i flashed twrp for 7.0 and then flashed the ROM. Phone started up correctly but then i decided to wipe data so i can have a "clean" installation. So i rebooted into twrp and formatted data. After this, phone get into bootloop. Just after that, i couldn't boot into twrp, and when i tried to boot in, it stuck in the yellow text "Your phone is booting up...". Then i downloaded b160, extracted it with Huawei Update Extractor and flashed all(system, boot, cust and recovery). This didn't work, i was stuck in the 3 choices menu with text "Your phone is booting up...", can't even see Huawei's logo. 1 hour ago i installed from sd (3 buttons way) b160, installation successful and now i can see Huawei's logo, but after that black screen . I tried to reboot into bootloader but i don't see anymore yellow "unlocked phone" text. I can just boot into eRecovery. Right now i'm trying to download b100 and trying to see if i can fix it by myself :fingers-crossed:. If u can, please help me, i really need help to get this phone working again.
(Sorry for my bad english )
Edit: i posted in wrong section, sorry xD
Edit 2: i finally boot into bootloader, but "PHONE Locked" . How can i unlock bootloader again? I don't have that code anymore and i can't boot into system..

I've alredy tried with 2 different firmwares: b130 and b120 but both say that they're incompatible.. Right now i'm downloading b100
(btw, my phone model is L-21 dual-sim)
Edit: I've tried to install b100 without any success. Everytime i try to install a firmware it says "Software installation failed! Incompatibility with current version. Please download the correct update package"
I heard about "oeminfo.img", because before having theese problems i was in 7.0 and to rollback you need to flash this oeminfo.img, but i can't flash anything .
Please help me, i'm alredy losing hope to repair my device... What should i do?

Ok so I've installed an update but I got a black screen. All I had to do is to clear cache and wipe data etc (in recovery option), then reboot to "dload mode" and... well, it works !

Honor 5c L21 aka 7 lite

I update to B132 and I have some bug on this firmware
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yVya1LV5IM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Mhg3hdcSq0
I want to dowgrade from nem-l21_c432b132 back to stock nem-l21_c432b100
I copy the dload and update.app B100 + *#*#2846579#*#* and press update, but is not working, i get update failed.
How can downgrade the firmware?
You got the update fail cause your version is higher than b100.
I think that if you want to downgrade you will have to download Full B100 not the OTA.
But I recommend if you want to do this use the b130 - I am using it and it is very good.
Do the whole procedurę through turned of phone: then VOL down and up together if I remember correctly.
I have try Full B100 not ota.
Not working.
Maybe some one know how to downgrade with fastboot?
nem-l21_c432b132 to nem-l21_c432b130 is working downgrade.
But i want nem-l21_c432b100
i try flashboot
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img
At fastboot flash system system.img i get failed
someone can help me?
@zzhunt This is an experimental method to go back to B100 by using OEMinfo. You do on your own risk! Required unlocked bootloader and installed TWRP (from Meticulus). Before performing make a full backup in TWRP.
1. Download here this package and put together of firmware B100 on the memory card,
2. Run and install in TWRP this package.
3. When finished install it, restart your smartphone to fastboot mode (Reboot>Bootloader)
4. Plug it into your computer and flash original recovery [LINK] a command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
5. When you can flashed, then disconnect and hold power switch. When the informations will disappear from the display, immediately press the buttons Volume up and Volume down,
6. Will start the flashing system and after finishing restart your smartphone
7. Done!
I tested so far only on my device and don't know, what will happen with smartphone a different serial number/IMEI etc., but rather it should go.

Reverting back can be done by putting the full update in dload folder in sdcard. I have once got that error that u r talking about after the installing process completed. So i simply rebooted. And i got the stock one. So try this, just reboot and see.

In full stock firmware, after extracting it, there is dload folder. In dload folder there will be 2 folders and update app.
I try B100 firmware bulgaria and greece
On greece is only dload folder and update.app
And in bulgaria is 1 folder hw + update.app
http://postimg.org/image/w6e41dxet/
in hw folder is other folder EU and inside is update_data_hw_eu.app
I try with update.app + this folder.
Not working, at 5% fail install and start normal.
I want to go back to B100 because this updates B130-131-132 is junk for me.
Only problems i have

You have unlocked bootloader? If not, you'll have to unlock - here is a tutorial on how to do it. Then you flash TWRP and perform what I wrote previously.
for me b132 optimized alot battery life and ram usage. also gpu works better.

PRA-LX1 I want to install stock firmware.

I want to flash my phone with stock firmware, but I cannot find it anywhere.
I am looking for PRA-LX1C738B123.
I own Huawei p8 lite 2017
I wiped my system because I wanted to install other rom, it didn't work so I want to go back to the original.
Unfortunately I wasn't smart enough to do a backup before so I am stuck atm. The bootloader is unlocked and flashing works, I can boot into huawei eRecovery and TWRP. (eRecovery gives the getting package info failed error) I have tried the dload method with other app files, it fails at 5% every time tho.
I tried using Huawei Update Extractor and Firmware Finder but I cannot find the exact firmware.
Could someone help me with installing my firmware? Oh and I am kinda new and it would be nice to get some guides,
Thanks.
I have the same problem but with a different firmware.. now only thing i can do is use dc-phoenix paid software (15$ for 72h of use). I will try that tomorrow as i also can't find exact same firmware it was on my phone.

Thanks for reply. I will take that into consideration, but from what I see you were looking for PRA-LX1C432B106 and they indeed have the c432 roms there, however they don't seem to have the ones that I have been looking for. They have a list of firmwares online. Anyway good luck.

Hello ! I think I could be of some help since I encountered the exact same problem !
edit: well I just realized I can't find your ROM with firmware finder either, sorry for the failed attempt
In your case I'd try with each firmware until one would work or a I tried them all.
You need some utilities first :
- Firmware Finder
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tools/general/huawei-firmware-finder-team-mt-t3469146
It will allow you to find the stock ROM that fits your model
-Huawei UPDATE extractor
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454
It will allow you to extract the .img files from the firmware previously downloaded.
-fastboot and adb
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
The programs that will allow you to flash the .img files.
Now:
1. Find your ROM using firmware finder (the model is usually on the box you received the android in).
2.Extract the necessary .img files : system.img, boot.img, recovery.img.
3.Reboot into the bootloader, connect your device to your computer, open a cmd exe (powershell in my case) by holding shift+right click on the folder containing the .img files and flash each .img file, e.g. for the system file:
"fastboot flash system system.img"
4.then use "fastboot reboot" and after that shutdown your device
(in my case even after flashing the .img files I was greeted by a blank screen, so I shutdown my device holding the power button).
5. Boot into recovery holding vol up + power buttons (be sure to disconnect your device before shutting down and powering it up again) and choose factory reset.
It should then reboot into ROM installation procedure where you will have to follow the same steps as when you booted your device for the first time.
edit: formatting
Also, as far as my limited knowledge goes, there is no custom ROM officially supported for our dear device.

Yes I had the exact same problem, but once I did what I described, by rebooting into recovery (without twrp), I finally had the option to restore factory settings.
I believe the issue is in the fact you don't have access to the stock ROM for your model.

Hello did you already test ???
Here is the solution for every PRA-LX1: [http : // www . htcmania . com / showthread . php ? t=1326478] (sorry for the spaces, but I don't have enough posts written to post external links )
Unfortunately, it's from a spanish forum. I didn't found any problem to follow this tutorial, but maybe for someone it could be a little difficult.
Anyway, it works!

Yes, but any PRA-LX1C432 i tried doesn't work for me, flashing by fastboot. I believe any PRA-LX1 should work on this phone, but i will need to use that dc phoenix software to flash it.

Where did you find the C432 firmware? I can't succees to find it
Flashing to a completely empty phone via DC phoenix or manual via fastboot still didnt got my device started. Sometimes I end up in the eRecovery and sometimes its just stuck at boot.
I tried different version from the hicloud but none so far did the trick. Maybe someone can point me into the right direction so i can finally rescue this phone?
EDIT:
PRA-LX1C432
Sorry cant link to these files since i don't got 10 posts. Maybe PM ?
Copied the Mega TWRP backup (B100) to SD card
Flashed TWRP via fastboot
Disconnected the USB cable
Boot into TWRP
Restored TWRP backup
Restarted phone into fastboot
OEM unlocked it
Got booted into TWRP since no stock recovery there
Booted into fastboot again
flashed stock recovery
Android started to work!
Tried to update to B164 and failed
Reboot
Now it offered B110 and I tried to update to B110. Success.

Also i noticed everytime a OTA fails you get the full version offered on next boot. So you should get a full B164 aswell after it failed
JStrel said:
Yes I had the exact same problem, but once I did what I described, by rebooting into recovery (without twrp), I finally had the option to restore factory settings.
I believe the issue is in the fact you don't have access to the stock ROM for your model.

how can you boot into recovery ? i can only boot into twrp or fastboot & rescue or if i plug the huawei to the pc erecovery ???

try updating the full package thru firmware finder dns method, you should be able to get the update.
I have the same issue. Whatever method (3 buttons, TWRP, Huawei updater + HiSuite), I can not update. Only B386 can install nothing else.
I've tried a lots of package, even the FullOTA-MF-PV. Nothing nothing works.
I've tried to rollback to MM, no luck. B182, B360, B383, B390 no luck either. Going crazy...
Hopefully, I can reinstall B386 works fairly ok with some random crashes.
Now it comes up with update failed after reboot, that's doing it via the 3 button option, I was told that the bootloader was unlocked I don't know how to lock it
I'm in the same situation : I can't relock the bootloader using SRKTool. I can't flash most of update.zip, only B386 works so so....Really annoyed.
---------- Post added at 08:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:32 PM ----------
Whatever method I use (dload, twrp, proxy updater even eRecovery), my package fail verification.
What can I do ? Seems something is broken with my phone...
Yeah so I've tried it again, restoring the phone first and it's still coming up with the same issue, I've unlocked the bootloader and (I assume that it needs locked again that's where the problem started) but I don't know how to go about this, as I said when you try and update it, its all in red saying the device is unsafe
swannyboy83, try this, it did work for me:
- When you turn on your phone, its all red saying "Verification Failed".
Try using Firmware Finder to download EVA-L09C109B132, unzip it, copy UPDATE.APP in the dload folder of the external sd card.
Turn off phone. Power button and keep + / - button.
It will install EVA-L09C109B132. Using recovery, try factory reset. Boot.
I see L09C432B132.
Now in the dload folder, replace UPDATE.APP by UPDATE.APP from B136.
Turn off phone. Power button and keep + / - button.
It will install L09C432B136.
Boot
Setup wifi.
Update now see B166.
==> But it ends up by Software installed failed for me.
At least, I have a usable phone...
just flash the stock recovery ( nougat or mm )
then relock the bootloader
then update the firmware reflash current or upgrade rom
the system will fulfill the missing files
dont forget to reset factory and back up before proceeding
goodluck
Hi vinfrix,
Done that : Stock recovery and bootloader relocked. But I can't reinstall the rom, whatever method, I have an error... Something corrupted in the phone I guess...

Why don't you update to Nougat, rebrand and then update to Oreo + network patch?

(Help) My P8 Lite 2017 (PRA-LX1) is bricked

Hello,
I was trying to install a custom ROM from TWRP to my P8 Lite 2017 and I wiped all partitions except MicroSD.
The installation failed and I got the stock ROM and then I discovered that my bootloader is locked. I can access TWRP and when I flashed the stock ROM the phone just boots to TWRP Recovery. And I can't even unlock the bootloader because the phone doesn‘t have any OS and I can‘t enable OEM unlocking from the system settings. And because I have TWRP, I can’t access Huawei Recovery. So my phone is basically bricked.
Any help will be appreciated

Use dload with a service firmware.
You need to flash this 2 times, once for the firmware and second time for vendor, and the firmware UPDATE.APP can be found in the update_sd.zip and the vendor UPDATE.APP can be found in the PRA-L31 or PRA-L11 folders (most likely you will have PRA-L31,you can find this in the engineering menu by going into the dialer and typing this: *#*#2846579#*#*,and then going to Veneer Informations and Version Info, but since you cannot boot flash PRA-L31 vendor).
http://androidhost.ru/6uc - this is latest firmware, but takes a very very long time to download
https://mega.nz/#F!nwhAWDjC!cNovAN6dKLlO_YZ9fjMbzQ - this is the first official firmware released, but download speed is very good
If you don't know how to use dload you can look it up on forums.
If your phone is really hard bricked and can't do anything, check this out:
I know how to use dload, but how I can boot into dload mode with TWRP installed and bootloader locked?

Dload works no matter what,at least I was able to enter it when I bricked my phone, even when I completely screwed up my recovery partition,so you should be good. Try using it with the service firmware I left you.

Now I have downloaded the service firmware so how I am going to flash it now? Like do I extract the UPDATE.APP and flash it in TWRP or what? You said that flash UPDATE.APP, but am I going to do that in dload mode or TWRP?

In dload, make sure you make a folder in the root of your sdcard called dload and put that in there.

Hm,make sure you used the service firmware I left you,but if you are sure you did, your last resort is DC Phoenix which you will need to pay 20 euros.

if you have TWRP installed could you make a backup of your oeminfo partition so we could provide you the right firmware to recover your device

I've tried a different firmware for my device and now I can't get to dload anymore so does it mean that I've chosen the wrong firmware? And by the way I read somewhere that if the dload says error it can depend on the microsd card.
I tried it again with the service firmware and I got to dload and it didn't have error anymore and now I've got everything worked and my phone is unbricked

Hello again, I've been using the older service firmware for few months now and now I decided to install the latest service firmware after I had no success with flashing the firmware through TWRP and I downloaded the service firmware put the necessary files to the dload folder and installed it via the software update in the dialer and typing *#*#2846579#*#* and going to dload that way. It installed to 100% and then when it restarted it goes to Error Mode and it says to update the firmware again but it just loops to error mode and I cannot do anything so I think I accidentally removed some neccessary files in the dload folder but now I would need to fix the error mode loop.
