I just bought from Ebay an H872 TMobile LG G6 and found out it's BAD IMEI and can't do SIM UNLOCK or cost too much with Device Unlock APP.
One question, any chance to remove the preinstalled Device Unlock App from phone and revoke the SIM UNLOCK CODE instead?
If it is truly a bad IMEI that will not help. Every carrier will check the IMEI when you try and put it on their network and reject it.
It's doable, just check your phone's IMEI on t-mobile servers here: https://www.t-mobile.com/verifyIMEI.aspx
Also to be sure, check your IMEI also here: http://imeipro.info
I've got a locked H872. I contacted Tmo about unlocking it, and they said that I had to have the original owner contact them to have it unlocked, but they will unlock it. I bought the phone from a guy that bought it from the woman who purchased the phone out right from Tmo. The guy I bought it from used it on straightalk with their Tmo SIM. Anyways, I've been looking for a SIM unlock method that I could do myself, to no avail. In 2014 I SIM unlocked a Sprint XT1056 using the NVITEM software...is there anything like this available for this device

I have a similar requirement, I purchased unlocked t-mobile lg g6 but after 30 days it showed up a message "temporary device unlock has expired" and now it is not accepting my Indian sim network.
If you or anyone else reading this post please let me know if there is such software exists that can help unlock it. :crying:

Hi Mannu, Same situation here. Bought off ebay India seller reboxed gadgets.

Yes, I have fixed it. PM me I will tell you.
i put twrp and flashed roms...got rid of the sim lock but phone kept reseting often with diferent roms and now it does not read any sim card....no idea!

In the development section there is a tool called HTC super tool, some people say they've had success with that... If that doesn't work, Google is your friend

Hello, devs! I am new to this forums (officially a noob) and I'll be getting my Atrix HD (AT&T) in about a week. The thing is I don't want to experience any problems as I don't live in the US and it'll be quite a pain to have it shipped there. So I need to make sure if the following is a risk or not

Got mit AHD (At&t) yesterday and updated it today.
Takes about 10 mins.
You can update it without any sim-card!!! And the phone/wlan and everything runs already without sim card!:good:

if yes then if i request the seller for the unlock code , will the same code that was used to originally unlock the device , can be used subsequently after any update ?

Using an OTA will not affect your sim unlock.
It might affect root and ur bootloader but not sim unlocking. I have done it several times on this and other motorola android (atrixes) phones.

you also need to be on stock sense rom for the unlock code to work.

I need help with unlocking LG v40 thinq from AT&T. Phone is blacklisted and is asking for unlock code.
I can't get unlock code from AT&T online page. I was asking for unlock code on ebay but four sellers couldn't get it.
I am out of US now and I really need to use this phone now.

There's a reason it was blacklisted. I don't understand why anyone would but a blacklisted phone expecting to use it.

Sorry as my English is very limited ,do you mean you want your unlock code ? Or need some info to unlock it ?
If you want the unlock code ,they are normally in less than 10 minutes ,however If I don't get I have no issue doing one refund .

Do you also have access to unlock codes for LG V30. Bought mine 3rd party and worked great for 6 months then was carrier locked by T-Mobile. Paid IMEI search showed not an actual blacklist however...
Had it soon unlocked for v use with AT&TV long before the sim network lock took place

Hey guys. That's a situation: living in Poland and I bought the s23 via Facebook marketplace. And after I received it the phone turned being looked to one of the local carrier. If there any way to resolve this issue with the s23? If that's enough just to change the firmware from U to U1 using ODIN?

Flashing from U to U1 will not remove the carrier lock. The lock must be removed by the carrier the phone was used with.

Am I got it right that there is no way to remove carrier lock with another firmware flashing? Why I'm asking cuz I can't just visit carrier office and ask them to unlock it

No. I would suggest contacting @mvikrant97 and see if he might be able to help, he does free FRP unlocking so I don't know if he can help with carrier unlocking.
It is possible that the original owner of the phone never contacted the carrier and asked them to unlock it. If you are able, you might want to contact the seller and see if they can.

I do network unlocking but it is a paid service and I cannot offer it for free as it costs me much more than FRP unlocking.
