hi.my xperia z cpu temperature when only using usb tethering to share internet connection to pc is 65c!!!!and battery temperature is 35,5c.should i be worried?
cpu clock speed is limited to 1.3ghz,using rr n 5.8.5

My specific issue involves SetCPU but I'm wondering about the larger scheme of how things work.
My phone gets hot in the car dock when running GPS, Navigation, and Bluetooth (I don't turn it on but I think my dock does it automatically). The general consensus is to underclock slightly when charging because charging generates heat, and I have a SetCPU profile to do that. Then comes the issue of heat generated from GPS and Bluetooth, and possibly processor load when running apps while docked, so I have two profiles for that: one to underclock a few steps down from the charging CPU speed when the temperature of the phone is at 40* C, another to clock down one more step when the temp hits 42* C, which I feel is at the point the phone gets a little too warm for use.
I've noticed that my phone doesn't necessarily stay cooler and in fact, sometimes it gets hotter than before I started using SetCPU. Over the past few days I've seen temps of near 45* C (113* F), toasty enough that I have to let my phone cool down before I can use it again.
So, my question is if underclocking too much is bad. For example, if I'm underclocking too much, does that strain the processor while it is trying to run apps and hardware? Is it better to let the system handle processor speed? I see this in driving a manual/standard transmission car - if I attack a hill in a high gear, I can eventually reach the top but with increased load on my engine. Maybe the processor speed works opposite - too low and it strains too much?
I used to be concerned about clock speed vs. battery life but now that I'm docking in my car more and noticing the heat, I'm more concerned about the heat. I'm currently using redstar's kernel but get the same results with that or the CM kernel that comes with the nightlies.
If it helps to troubleshoot, or if you want to critique me, here's my profile list.
Normal: 245 min, 998 max (default settings)
Priority 100 - temp > 42*C: 460 max, 245 min
P 90 - temp > 40*C: 499 max, 245 min
P 80 - screen off: 384 max, 245 min
P 70 - charging AC: 576 max, 245 min
(SetCPU related question, sorry if this is too far off forum topic) Are there better profile settings I could be using?
Also, I don't quite understand undervolting in terms of kernels. What effect does that have, if any?
Hello guys!
My Razr i sometimes is so warm, I installed an application to see the temperature of the battery and when I'm not doing anything it's 29-34°C (84-93.2°F) and when I use facebook, listen to music and surfing the internet simultaniously the temperature increases to 38-41°C (100.4-105.8°F) What I know is that batteries must not be exposed to temperatures higher than 40°C (104°F)

What do you think, if your theory sustain, how could people near equator get along with mobile phones? The max temperature for Li-ion batteries is 45 degrees C when charging, and 60 degrees when discharging (use).
It has something to do with a security to not burn the components? Not heat up more than due?
Hello
I have Xperia Z1 and I have some problems with it. Uploaded latest system 5.1.1 (.236) + root and the temperature can reach over 75 ° C under load. After installing the kernel Adiutor I was able to master the temperature in the range of 40-55 ° C but rather too much. I also noticed that there is a problem with the settings in the thermal limitations Kernel Adiutor and CPU frequency themselves are changing. Today I fixed phone through PC Companion and is still unchanged ... I also noticed that the CPU does not go into deep sleep and works all the time clocked at 300Mhz and above Slowly regret buying this phone ...
Anyone know what the problem is? Help me guys...

You're probable using badkernel adiutor settings or your kernel has a problem. It is not normal to have a constant 300Mhz. Maybe you should change your settings or install a custom kernel if your bootloader is unlocked. Check your wakelocks also it is possible that an app is doing it
Cpu clock speed from 300Mhz to ~ 1300MHz with the manager ondemand, multi-core power management enabled, MPDDecision off, control cores disabled, reducing VDD off, temperature control enabled. I am using the stock kernel of 14.6.A.1.236. Currently temperatures oscillate in the limit of 30-35 ° C. But I am surprised that after the installation of the package in DualRecovery for locked bootloader and running Android temperature reached 75 ° C (while optimizing application). I use Greenify with Donation Pack and all applications have under control. Wakelock Detector sees no arousal. The system was installed today by Sony PC Companion, so you can rule out a problem with the soft. If I unlock the bootloader official method SONY it may damage the phone? A friend killed in this way the two phones Sony Xperia T (After unlocking the bootloader and discharge the battery to 0% phone gave no signs of life and sent him to repair where he exchanged the motherboard)

I think it is useless to limit the CPU to 1300. Let it free to the max. Using a smaller value will force it to work even more to do a basic action si it will overheat. I had the same problem as you before. I had to change my battery that was in end of life. Then i'm not sûre but i think that it is obliged to use a CPU hotplug. It is unrecommended to use Mpdecision on custom kernel but if your dont have alternatives then use it. Ans for the bootloader, everything is dangerous when you modify your phone but if you follow the instructions then there is no reason to brick your phone
But when I set the processor from 300Mhz to 2,2ghz it beats the temperature 70 ° C
First of all, I'm not gaming in this phone.
Here are apps I use:
XPlayer
IDM
Reddit
CPU Monitor
Network Speed
I'm using Pixel Experience Rom Android 11
According to CPU Monitor app, my cpu is always around 58-65 celsius and it sometimes shoots up to 75-80 celsius. I live in tropical country and this phone is notorius for heating. I already opened up the back for battery replacement so I have experienced opening this phone.
Any tips to not let cpu overheat? Whether on software or hardware side?
Edit: I'm asking about managing CPU temp (not battery temp)
