Unbrick P9 Eva-L19 or where to get logic board - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hi guys
I've mistakenly (I guess) placed an update.zip in dload folder from the internal memory.
When I booted it with key combo to force update from there, it reaches 5% and then I get an error regarding it does not correspond with original version
When I boot it I have 2 options
- Huawei erecovery, where I get it failed through WiFi
- Wipe data or factory reset, which cannot be done
After this I tried getting original ROMs, placed them in dload folder from sdcard, and I get same error as before. So I think it is not taking into consideration the files from there and I think it is still trying to update from internal memory
It had version B605C135
Then it went to b605c135custD003 or 007 and the problems started from there
My questions would be
Is there any procedure to unbrick and make it work again? ... or...
I was told in repair stores to replace the logic main board, but I cannot find a place to buy it. Does anyone know where I could find this spare part?
Thanks a lot in advance [emoji847]

I mean, phone does not have USB debugging on and I guess I won't be able to do anything without it, right?
Any clues about how to enable it from recovery or anywhere? Thanks again

Try to recover with dload folder with UPDATE.APP (in update.zip from differrent FULLOTA versions) insided, by press and hold: Vol Up + Vol Down + Power buttons.
I have an EVA-L19C636 and it's worked and recovered with B320 version only.

Oh I see. The bootloader's locked. Just curious though, why is wiping and restoring to factory data not working?

I'm not sure what that means, but can you post screenshots of your recovery? You should be able to access that by pressing Vol+ and Power at the same time.
At this point, I think what you should see are options to wipe and all. Can you also post pictures on what happens when you select either? And have you tried unlocking the bootloader through ADB?
The goal I have in mind at this point is for the device to be able to boot so that you can access the Settings app

I've finally paid DC Phoenix flash software license
Tried EVA-L19_C432B360_Firmware_Austria_Poland_Hungary_Bulgaria_Czech_Republic_Nonspecific.APP
And voila, it unlocked bootloader, unlocked frp, did everything and unbricked the phone
Now have to test network bands, etc.
But this is an advance

[Q] Please help savage my Z1

So the other day I confirmed for an OTA update for my Z1. Little did I know, 3 seconds and an auto shut down later, I would end up with my Z1 being stuck in a bootloop with no access to recovery mode.
I really need help on getting my Z1's internal memory (photos, notes, contacts) extracted. I tried a few of the local repair shops and they said that the data inside is corrupted.
I've try ADB but it says "permission denied" whenever I try getting in the storage>sdcard. Probably due to me putting a swipe pattern lock screen on it.
So if there's any hope at all, I'm willing to even disassemble it if that could even help.
I've not rooted it but I do believe the bootloader is unlocked.
- I should also mention I'm a real amateur at this stuff so please be very patient and specific with the instructions. Thanks!
Try using this guide: http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/how-instal...z3-z2-devices-via-xperifirm-flashtool-1492498
it's for updating your os with flash tool just use an ftf file for z1. And in the final stage of the update untick the 3 wipe options and this should save your data.

i'm not totally sure this will work, depends on how much your memory is ruined. If it was just an installation of your os error this should reinstall an updated os without erasing data. first try other methods for saving your data and if you won't find any, try this one
btw, in the picture i posted i didnt untick those 3 wipe options, don't forget to untick them else you'll wipe your memory!!!

1. try flash ftf again, unstick applog and data, stick on cache ( wipe cache). try several times maybe it will bootup.
2. you sure your bootloader is unlocked ?
use flashtool to check your bootloader status, if it really unlocked just flash a custom kernel have build in recovery to save your data.
if it is locked bootloader, you can unlock via flashtool, it wont wipe you data like fastboot unlock, and flash kernel but you will lose your sony function forever if you dont have any TA backup before. you should consider to choose your data or sony function.
Are you sure your bootloader is unlocked?
Dude, Are you sure that your bootloader is unlocked?
1st confirm that and accordingly there are ways by which you can recover your data.
Guys here have already recommended methods by which you can get your data back. I suggest read through general an Q&A forums. Read thread for soft bricking. Do not panic and carefully follow the instructions. You should get your data back.
similar case has happened with me few times and I was sucessfully able to get my data back.. so dont worry..

unlock the bootloader (Unofficial free way)

While searching for a way to unlock the bootloader i found a way
Hello. Instructions for unlocking the bootloader.
-------------- Responsibility for your bricks I do not take over. Everyone does at their own peril and risk .--------------
Downloa ( Google)
1) Install the driver for the phone (in the header);
2) Install a special driver, find it in the Unlock_BootLoader \ Driver for Winwos \ DriverSetup.exe folder;
3) It is necessary to unwind the phone, remove the cover;
4) It is necessary to disconnect the battery;
5) It is necessary to close the contacts (Photo);
6) Connect the phone to the PC;
7) Open the program Unlock_BootLoader.exe, there is a menu at the top, the item: "Operations> Settings> You need to select the Unlock_BootLoader.xml file"
8) After selecting the Unlock_BootLoader.xml file, click "Operations" again and click Start. Or press the green play button.
9) Done. Now you have TWRP_Mod installed in the Recovery section.
Additionally
The method works both with a locked bootloader and an unlocked bootloader. The only difference is that how to use this program at the moment when the bootloader is unlocked, then you do not need to disassemble the phone and put it into TEST POINT mode.
If the bootloader loader, then the program flashes TWRP_Mod.img to the Recovery section. After flashing, the phone will automatically reboot and the bootloader will remain locked. But TWRP_Mod.img will work. If you need a full unlocking of the bootloader, then you need to prepare several other files. There was no time for that. I made the method only for flashing custom recovery.
In the video, my bootloader is unlocked. I had a chance to block the bootloader and delete all data, so I made a video with the unlocked bootloader.
With a locked bootloader, exactly the same thing, the only difference is that you will need to switch the phone to TEST POINT modeYoutube video

can u also tell if we have a method by which we can unlock our bootloader. If its possible using this technique then we can have development for our device. More people will be available to use the roms.

I know lot of people already know but for everyone else's clarification Test Point or EDL Mode requires physically opening the phone and shorting 2 electric points together something like the following video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8salW6m-z8
I do not know exactly where those 2 point are on honor play.
But one good thing is opening honor play is comparatively easy as it does not require heating the screen with some heatgun. There are 2 special screws and then the screen is clasped.

the IDT started to flash the image and I got the successful PASS green message in the end.
The bootloader is temporary unlocked in testpoint mode
however, even if I have kept the VOL UP button pressed and removed the usb cable to reboot directly in the recovery mode (to prevent the overwrite with the default eRecovery) it still brings me to the default eRecovery menu.
I have even tried to flash TWRP manually in fastboot (using the tespoint mode to temporary unlock the bootloader) and I got the img file sent and written.
However, it still brings me to the default eRecovery.
Do I do something wrong or miss something? becase flashing of any image is successful but I can't get anything changed on the phone (just getting OKAY or success messages on the pc)
For everyone here trying by opening up the phone, make sure you DON'T touch any other 2 points or your motherboard will short-circuit and become unusable.

Did you try going to recovery through command line?
Code:
fastboot reboot recovery
(or reboot-recovery)
Sent from my COR-L29 using Tapatalk
Why would people have to take this tedious route to unlock their Huawei or Honor smartphones? Huawei as a company should listen and release bootloader to those who wish to unlock their system. They can put in place an agreement to be accepted by those who want to unlock their phones and expected no warranty after doing so. This is very simple to do.
Can someone confirm test point connectors on the play please?
Doesn't look too difficult imho.

Huawei starts up with ERROR MODE

Hey. I have a huawei p8 lite 2017 and whenever I turn on my phone, I get this:
ERROR FUNC NO 8 (hifi image)
ERROR FUNC NO 1 (security verify failed)
Is there something I can do? I can't even access fastboot. If you got any idea whatsoever, please, send a message. I don't want to buy another phone. Also, if you need more info about the phone, I'll try to give it to you.
Hey,
If fastboot doesn't work or bootloader mode is not accessible, I only see one option : use manufacturer rescue update mode. You may try this (you need an micro SD card with a least 4.5 GB free)
download this image : PRA_LX1_8.0.0.400(C432)
Extract it and put the dload folder into the root of our sdcard (as your phone doesn't boot you cannot copy directly : you need to remove your card from the phone then use a card reader in order to copy the dload content, then insert it back into the phone)
Turn off the phone
Press power and vol + & - buttons at the same time
Once you see the huawei logo stop pressing power but keep pressing on volume buttons
It should restore your phone with emergency update.
If it doesn't work there is a chance that internal emmc memory chip is dead.

The button combo to reboot to recovery or bootloader or the download mode don't work at all. It just boots back to the same screen. For us tho the error message is error 10 instead of error 8.

After some attempts trying to fix the issue my device definitively stopped powering up at all. It's probably a sign of dying infernal storage. I am sorry for your friend as there is probably no solution for his problem.

Bootloop, can't access download/fastboot mode or recovery

Phone stuck rebooting over and over
Power+Vol down > doesn't show fastboot
Power+Vol up > doesn't show recovery (was twrp)
can't turn off the phone, had to wait like 8 hours because I thought maybe I could reach fastboot mode after it runs out of battery, once I plug it in the pc, it continues to loop even if I don't press the power button
I had a custom rom (PixelPlusUI) but i'm not sure that a part of the problem.
I don't care about the data, I just want to be able to reach fastboot so I can install stock rom or be able to do anything.
Thanks in advance.

That's not firmware, look here https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/merlin/ but they are all the latest versions so idk, maybe the ROM also contains firmware? i guess, I think I read that somewhere on xda threads about downgrading
I just realized, by flashing the stock fastboot rom, the bootloader gets locked again, that's why the TWRP wont install, you have to unlock the bootloader again
