Sound volume?

Hey guys, I was wondering if the sound can be tweaked to go just a little higher. I find the sound coming from the 2X good, but it's too low in volume.
As for example, the Samsung Galaxy S has a much higher volume. Mine is hardly hearable when playing next to the Galaxy S.
I'm agree with this, the volume is realy too low.
Im using a app called volume boost. It only cost about 2 $ in market. The sound in my headset becomes alot higher
Heard about it, but when I'm using my headphones the sound is pretty good. The thing I'm looking for is the volume for the speakers.
If it's for a louder incoming ring volume. Either choose a louder ringtone or boost an existing ringtone file by a couple of decibels with a sound editor program, like Audacity on the PC. I think up to +5db should be OK before distortion sets in.

Volume Boost - No Effect Editing mixer_paths.xml

Hi, folks.
I'm trying to increase media volume to my bluetooth earbuds. I just got a new pair and they're about 1/2 as loud at max volume than my last pair. I take a train to work every morning and it's very noisy, and the volume is pretty disappointing.
In mixer_paths.xml I've edited "RX1" and "RX2" digital volume values up to 92, and HPHL and HPHR volume values to 22 (were already at 20). It's having no effect whatsoever, so I'm wondering if there is another value I should edit for bluetooth volume. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi did you ever figure this out? I'm having this problem now.
Thanks-
You should try viper4android. Install the apk.
You might need BusyBox but I'm not sure. Change your
SeLinuxmode to permissive, you can do this using the
app selinuxmodechanger, also apk. Then in a file explorer
go to /vendor/etc and change audio_effects.conf to
audio_effects.conf.bak. Once you've done that go
to viper4android and click install drivers. Your phone might
act a little weird but that's normal just wait until it's finished then reboot. Go to the app and slide over to bleutooth and there you can make your earbuds louder by changing gain.
Hope this is clear

How to increase headphone volume

I've been trying to find a guide to increase the volume of the headphones only. Haven't found anything that was useful. So I tried myself playing with the settings in the mixer_paths.xml file.
To increase the headphone volume, change the values under the "headphones" part
HPOUT1 Digital Volume" id="0" value="128"
HPOUT1 Digital Volume" id="1" value="128"
Change the 128 part to whatever you like. I haven't tested going higher than 135 as that is more than loud enough for me!
Take a backup of the mixer_paths.xml before playing with this file. And make you once you have edited it you have the permissions set properly.
Hope that was useful for some of us who like silly loud headphone audio
Great tip!
Do you which field I should edit in order to increase in call volume? It feels rather low sometimes and I know the speaker can handle going higher up.

I haven't tried so I can't really help with that. On my Moto X call volume via the earpiece is very loud already.
does this work for bluetooth audio too? im having issues with my sony sbh20 and style, the volume is really low compared to wired headphones.
EDIT: seems like it's not....

Mixer_paths.xml explanation

Hey everyone,
I'm running AEX 6 on my Zuk Z2 Pro, but I'm noticing that during calls, especially with Skype and WhatsApp, the volume is too high. I have them already on their minimum.
I searched the net and found out that I can modify the mixer_paths _tasha.xml file to reduce the volume. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out what all the "paths=" mean and which ones I have to edit to reduce the volume.
I need to reduce:
1) In call speaker volume
2) In call headphone volume
The normal volumes, ex. when listening to music, are perfect, just in-call the volumes rise automatically even if android says they are low.
I'm looking forward for your help ?

im also trying, in oreo this is impossible i think, system wont react on any values i put in mixer path.
in nougat roms i just edit rx7 value, but in oreo this wont work.
you can also try some kernel editor, and there should be some section to adjust sound levels if kernel alows for that.

XZ1C - Any way to increase speaker volume?

I am wondering if anyone uses any method to boost their speaker volume? The XZ1 Compact speakers, on max volume, are very hard to hear while driving down the highway or over basic kitchen noise.
maybe try this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony-themes-apps/port-sony-xperia-xz2-sound-enhancements-t3772758
If you are playing a specific audio file or something like that then you can alter the file's levels, say in Audacity or Audition. This could reasonably boost the levels if the source file is not already leveled very high.
Or if you want system-wide volume boost you can drag all the equalizer parameters to max gain in settings-sound-audio settings-sound effects-equaliser. Both methods may result in clipping but if it's really necessary to go that loud I guess a bit clipping won't be a huge problem, where the problem more lies in the life of speakers being shortened as they are powered beyond their designated volume
