Front camera upside down, any fix? - Xiaomi Mi 5 Questions & Answers

Hi, I have cpMiui, and since I want Google Cam I've installed from Magisk "Pixel2Experience" containing camera2api. Everything works but front camera is inverted. How can I fix it?

Solved
Found a fix for the front camera being flipped: You need to edit "/system/etc/camera/msm8996_camera.xml".
There are 4 entries: 2 for the back camera (CameraId 0) and 2 for the front camera (CameraId 2).
We'll edit only the 2 for the front camera: We'll change the "MountAngle" from 360 (which means "Defined by kernel") to 270.

Front camera

I have installed this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39889708&postcount=1 with 24RH kernel.
And i have problem with front camera: when i switch to front camera (in camera application) i got a crash. But i have this problem only in taking photos mode. In recording mode both cameras work great.
Anyone can upload me 100% working camera .apk?

Problem with OIS

On the LineageOS 14.1 or AospExtended ROM V4.2 firmware, the stabilizer does not work in 4 directions, but only in 2. I understood this because of the activated 2 api. If you disable it, then patch calibration will help https://github.com/dobragab/Mi5Calibrate
However, then the front camera will be upside down! I do not know how to solve this problem. I found a possible solution on the Internet, but it does not work!
Code:
Enable it yourself from the build.prop, set persist.camera.HAL3.enabled to 1. Note that front camera will be vertically flipped after this, so modify /system/etc/camera/msm8996_camera.xml as well. Change MountAngle for CameraId 2 (there are two of them, change both) from 360 to 270.

How do I calibrate the camera? Who does it work in 4 directions at all?

Pixel Camera Ported with HDR+ , portrait mode (with both front and back camera now).

I found a fix on a youtube channel for portrait mode for front camera after a lot of googling. The key is to set a manual iso (idk why) while using front camera. The link to that is here
https://drive.google.com/file/d/16BT6C02pgvO3usJxCe8C0u_sVi9CbMOI/view?usp=sharing
Instruction -
Enable camera2api.
Download app, instalL.
Open settings and then do the settings u like.(i use pixel 2 and pixel 2017 zsl+ ) and other obvious settings( like turning on portrait mode etc.)
After that set the MANUAL FIXED BLACK LEVEL ONSET to 63.50 and enable.
Now everytime you use the front camera you have to turn that left slider (which i think is of iso) to 100 or any other value from auto, then hdr+ and portrait mode in front camera will also work.
This is not my work , i am only sharing it.
Credits to people who made this (arnovag2 ,TCHNO VKKI youtube channel guy etc.)
This is my first post and i dont really know what to add in your posts ,(also not liking typing this much) but i thought everyone should know this fix.
Hit thanks if this helped you.(actually idk what thanks is for LOL)
Cheers!

Try using nexus 6p model. But you will lose face retouch.

I checked it ... it doesn't work in miui globle stable rom 9.2.5 in redmi4....i also tried many apks but no one is running correctly if front cam works back cam doesn't even some of didn't even opening and keeps closing all the time...(my phone is rooted and camera2 api is enabled)
the app on works in custom roms like rr rom, pixel experience rom...
It works, thanks! Tested on redmi 4x with MIUI9.2. Just don't go with the ISO too high. ISO3200 and above force crash camera app.
Front & Back portrait working nicely. But video recording getting some continues sound.

Change default rear camera?

Hey guys,
My main rear camera is broken and I was wondering if my default camera can be changed to the wide-angle lens, because the wide angle lens works fine. The phone is a Moto X4 and it has a dual rear camera set up.
So my question is:
Could I maybe modify the default rear camera ID in the Camera2 api?
Or is there a build prop flag that I can modify that changes the default rear camera to the wide angle lens?
Add this line on the build.prop and perhaps you'll be able to use the wide angle.
