Hey all. Is there a viper-atmos that works with oreo? Everything ive tried and flashed doesnt seem to work or in bootloop. I was able to either use dolby atmos standalone or viper4android standalone with magisk modules but not a fan of magisk.
I also having a problem finding a solution in audio mod. Could you give a link for the standalone viper and atmosphere, please.

I am coming to the modding game after an year or so.. I have been seeing Viper4Arise a lot. I wanted to know whats was the difference between Android and Arise. If it is same, why the same name?
I have being trying to get V4Android working with a few roms. I would also like to know which roms are recommended for V4A or even V4Arise(if it performs as good as V4Android).
I have tried RR v5.8.0 but couldnt get V4Android working on it. Also tried Tugapower which is supposed to have V4Arise preinstalled but was so unstable that I dint get a chance to test Arise out. Currently I am sitting on a wiped phone and waiting for a reply here.
I would prefer a rom on which V4Android/(Arise?) installation is easy and has some customization(optional)
(I would really love it if you could provide a detailed guide for installing V4A if possible)

Installed via TWRP rather than using magisk for any of the modules.
I also flashed ahrion's Dolby Atmos module which works alongside V4A.

I think Viper 4 arise is a new team of people and some were working on The v4 Android but moved onto the new project.

i just rooted my oneplus 3t with magisk v14, i am on stock OOS.
I installed the viper4android module.
The neon enabled status shows "yes", but there is no change in the sound quality.
What can i do to fix it?
I found the same problem as you. Viper module found in magisk didn't work for me. So i downloaded viper zip from official site and flashed it and it worked

Which one exactly? There are a lot of different versions. Magisk 14 broke a lot of the existing (older) V4A modules. The one linked in the previous response (by ahrion, V2.0) works perfectly for me with Magisk 14.0.
I entered developer mode, and disabled the SeLinux, and it worked fine after that.
I would try the other magisk module as well.
Any idea how we can install the Viper arise version.
**As an alternative, Dolby Digital Plus apk can be used. No root required.
It's not as comprehensive but will enhance your music listening experience.

This version of Dolby Atmos is working on Oreo. Had no luck with other versions.
I downloaded DolbyAtmos_Axon7_Oreo_20180125.zip to be precise.
I installed via recovery TWRP. Not Magisk. I took no other steps than to download the file listed above, install via TWRP and reboot.
Later I installed Viper4android via Magisk. Both are working fine.

is there a way to install this without Magisk but Super SU?
I did install using TWRP and did not use magisk. None of the existing magisk modules worked for me. I don't believe SuperSU would be a hindrance at all.

This didnt work for me in the latest SuperXE ROM.
My phone went bootlooping.
Also, install via TWRP not Magisk. That's what's working for me. Good luck now!
I'm on superxe room myself. Other versions made me bootloop. Make sure you download DolbyAtmos_Axon7_Oreo_20180125.zip. That's the one that's working for me.

How do we know if dolby atmos is enabled after downloading viper and this mod?
I downloaded the zte axon 7 unity version and flask in magisk but got force close every time i open the dolby atmos app. Is that the one you uses?
I never got any of the Dolby modules to work for me through Magisk. Maybe some have, but I did not.
Instead i installed this particular zip version with my recovery TWRP (not Magisk) and it is working fine. Make sure you install by booting into recovery, then installing it via TWRP.
Make sense? ?

Working perfectly on latest lineage os 15.1......on normal speakers I didn't find much difference but headset definitely has a difference. The audio quality is superb....not placebo......... Working perfectly!!!!!!

Will this work on my 6p running Resurrection Remix Oreo? And how do i install viper4android? RROS comes with audiofx but its not all that good at times.
I have no reason to believe that it would not work.
I personally installed this module through TWRP. Not Magisk. But I did install Viper FX through Magisk. Both are working.

Good night people. As you can see in the dolby atmos image it does not work. I've tried all of the modules in magisk, but none works. I have viper4AndriobFX working and I would like to have dolby atmos as well. Can anybody help me? Thank you.
Basically, what Im gonna do here is share my profiles on both apps. These profiles are the result of my experiment tuning the two apps and this is the configuration that I think provides the most significant improvement to the speaker output.
If you already have Viper and Dolby Atmos installed, you can go straight to importing my profile in Viper. You can download it here.

To do the import, all you have to do is simply copy all the contents inside the folder Viper4Android (in the zip) to the folder Viper4Android in your internal storage.
After that, you need to configure your EQ in Dolby Atmos similarly to my config. (There's no option to do profile import and export in Dolby, so you'll have to do it manually)

Now every time you wanna use the loudspeaker, you'll have to change the profile in Viper to akg v1.2.2 (to change the profile, click on the three dashes > Load Effect Profile > Pick your desired profile). After you're done and you wanna switch to your earphone, you can change it back to your personal profile. As for the dolby, just leave it like how it previously was.
If you dont have the apps installed, you can download them in magisk repository. These are the versions im currently using:
Dolby Atmos DAX 2.5.0.15_r1 by guitardedhero
Viper4Android FX Materialized v1.7(2.5.0.5) by Viper250, zhuhang, team_dewitt, ahrion, zackptg5
Just in case one or both of the apps not working for some reason, just install the module Audio Modification Library. It solved the problem for me.

Have you tried to install the specific build i used? I used that one because the other builds didnt work, but none of them caused my phone to bootloop.
Maybe it has something to do with the ROM or magisk version. Currently im on 9.6.10.0 ODIMIFE and magisk v16.0
