I have the Moto Nexus 6 (xt1100) with TRWP installed no backup saved, OEM bootloader locked and no OS currently on the phone and i cant reflash nethunter or any stock roms through TRWP or fastboot. PLZ HELP ME OUT.
You could to install by adb sideload some full ota.
There is a Android N preview that could be applied by adb sideload, once you have access to your phone, you could unlock bootloader and apply any other rom

Push a custom rom to your phone and flash it in TWRP. Command: adb push namerom.zip /sdcard/, or sideload a custom rom in also in TWRP recovery. And don`t ever relock your bootloader again if you are flasher If you have enabled ENABLE OEM UNLOCK in developer options its best to unlock it first

He can't flash any ROM with a locked bootloader.
You should be able to fastboot flash a stock image, but if your fastboot isn't working then you're kinda screwed.
All I can say is give the fastboot flash another try, maybe from a different PC. Use method 2 in this guide to return to stock, then use the stock recovery to factory reset and boot it up

I tried Macon's method but i am still unable to flash the phone back to stock. The OEM bootloader is locked and i cant access it without an OS installed. Is there a way i can bypass the OEM bootloader aka hack/root the phone to reflash it?
It should work if you run these commands (with the phone in bootloader) prior to flashing the custom rom zip in TWRP:
Fastboot format cache
Fastboot format userdata

Sorry to hear that... The suggested method used to work for people unable to unlock their bootloader due to not having the setting checked in developers settings (if they had TWRP installed, of course).
I do believe you are screwed...
@lulzwolf: Contact Motorola and/or Google, because you screwed yourself by not leaving "Enable OEM Unlock" checked after you modified the firmware. There is no way to brute force the lock, unless you happen to be immortal. The encryption on the bootloader is sufficiently strong that you'll be dead long before a computer could successfully unlock it.
Lesson of the day folks: if you modify your Nexus 6, even if only to root it, leave "Enable OEM Unlock" checked! Yes, it will make your device less secure since a knowledgeable person can flash a factory image, but it's better than being permanently locked out of the device.
Just flash any rom trough TWRP. For god's sake, it even supports MTP. What's your problem?
@Lawstorant: Did you read the thread? His bootloader is locked, meaning he cannot flash anything.
@Strephon Alkhalikoi
It doesn't work that way. Locked bootloader only means that he cannot flash anything using fastboot, but he clearly said that he has TWRP. TWRP doesn't relay on fastboot (common knowledge 1) because it's a totally seperate thing, hence locked bootloader doesn't affect TWRP in any way. He can still do anything he likes. The simplest solution is to flash ANY rom trough TWRP and unlock bootloader with "Boot unlocker" app.
Locked bootloader means you cannot use fastboot, partitions are not unaccesible.
1. If you lock your Windows OS with password you can't acces it, but if you have Linux there's nothing that prevents you from browsing filse on windows partition (only encryption, but still, you can wipe it and put in, anything you want).
TL;DR You're wrong, go learn some more.
@Lawstorant, your attitude and tone need a bit of adjustment. If I am wrong, that's one thing. There is however no need to be a smart ass about it, especially with the TL;DR bit. It's juvenile, and uncalled for. That said, you are correct in that lulzwolf may not be totally screwed. Virtually everyone, including myself, has assumed he has to flash a stock image, but he really doesn't. We'll need him to answer one way or another, but the instructions to restore his device are as follows.
Boot into bootloader.
Use fastboot and issue the following commands: fastboot format userdata, fastboot format cache.
Reboot into TWRP.
Flash a custom ROM.
Unlock the bootloader, and leave it unlocked.
lulzwolf did in fact get at least as far as the two fastboot commands, but he does not say whether he got back into TWRP. Now that he has gotten the userdata and cache formatted he should be able to boot into TWRP and install a custom ROM. From there he should be able to unlock the bootloader.
So @lulzwolf, where are you getting stuck? You may not be done yet, as I erroneously assumed.

formating trough fastboot won't succed, because he needs access to these partitions. Why would anyone even recommend fastboot when bootloader is locked? He's better of formatting them trough TWRP.
TWRP is answer to all questions. I don't even know why he's tinkering with his phone if he can't figure it out on his own.
Ask The_Merovingian. He wrote the guide. I simply copied it from his thread.
However, you and I do agree on one very important thing. If he doesn't know what he's doing he shouldn't be messing about with his phone, period. He did say in his opening post that he couldn't flash ROMs through TWRP, but given what's been posted, there shouldn't be any reason he can't flash a ROM, except he has a bigger issue than not having the OS.
Ok so i have solved my problem by installing a custom ROM called "Cataclysm" through the TRWP recovery tool. My problem was I tried flashing to stock with fastboot when fastboot had no access to the partitions. so i used adb to push a custom ROM and installed it in TRWP.... BOOM it was fixed! so in conclusion we have learned that fastboot cannot access partitions while the OEM bootloader is locked but TRWP can. thank you all for commenting and helping me out, and hopefully this thread can help out others who run across this problem in the future.

Which is exactly what gee2012 suggested that you should do in the second reply to your cry for help. (And at least I assumed you had tried without success. Serves me right for assuming...)
Glad it worked out. :good:

Hi I just have bought my new HTC desire 10 pro and I wanted to root it using ADB and fastboot to flash TWRP recovery and then install SuperSU like i did with older phones. With this one when I try to flash TWRP with fastboot tool it says to me:
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: download for partition 'recovery' is not allowed)
Now... I have tried OEM unlocking enabled or not and i can see it working in bootloader (**LOCKED** or **UNLOCKED**)
I read somewhere that HTC has the download mode for flashing, but when is in that mode nor adb nor fastboot can detect the device plugged in.
This has something to do with S-ON and S-OFF? I understood that is a kind of NAND memory protection.
If you have a simpler way with some exploit or working apk is also accepted because I only want root and dont care of flashing custom ROMs for now.
Thanks,
Joe

S-On or S-Off doesnt matter for what you need to do.
First go to HTCDev website and unlock your bootloader, the phone model isn't shown but select "other supported models".
Then install device drivers and ADB fastboot
Dowload TWRP 3.1 for your variant from here and flash it by fastboot
twrp-3.1.1-0-a56dj_pro_uhl.img
twrp-3.1.1-0-a56dj_pro_dugl.img (dual sim)
Download SuperSU and flash it using TWRP.
I think your problem is either bootloader not unlocked or drivers missing, anyway good luck ! :good:
Credit to @sabpprook for the TWRP variants
You need to boot the phone to download mode and then flash the twrp...adb reboot download should do it, then the usual fastboot command to flash twrp..Bootloader needs to be unlocked via htcdev first

I did not build those twrp files, I just found them on another post by @sabpprook
The links are now expired, you'll have to ask @sabpprook to post them again please.
But I found another twrp file for the HTC Desire 10 Pro dual sim version by @jemmini

Hi all,
I'm trying to understand what did I do wrong.
I bought my device with an unlocked bootloader miui V8 (global rom).
I tried to flash TWRP recovey and MIUI PRO rom. I follow the steps that are mentioned here
and got soft brick - the device got stuck on the mi logo (with the unlock sign), even when I wait in patience the device just turned off.
- At the beginning I flashed the TWRP recovery by xuefer, boot into it and flashed the dm-verity disabler (as mentioned in the guide) and got error 1.
I reboot the device and it didn't boot.
- I boot to the recovery again and wipe the data - didn't boot.
Boot to recovery again and wipe to factory
-I flashed the MIUI PRO rom and the device still didn't boot.
I tired to flash the TWRP recovery by iscle - now the dm-verity disabler succeed but the device still didn't boot.
made the wiping steps as above again - and the device still got stuck at the mi logo.
At any step I manged to boot into the TWRP recovery and fastboot mode.
My lest option was to go back to the global stock rom using MiFlash
Now I'm on Global MIUI 9 with locked bootloadr
What did I do wrong?
I want to unlock the bootloader and to get back my control on my device.
Please advice
Thanks
Download the latest TWRP on this forum. Flash it. After, go to twrp, wipe data, cache, flash MIUI PRO rom, and after flash also flash the latest SuperSU zip. Then try again and see if it's gonna boot up.
how sure were you that the device had an unlocked bootloader when you purchased it? if it was brand new, certainly its bootloader is locked.
Do you have an open padlock when your phone is booting ?
Remember to boot to twrp just after flashing and before booting to the rom.
Thank you all for your answers!

I've checked the bootloader status in the Dev menu and with fastboot (fastboot oem device-info).
In addtion to all I had the open padlock sign when the turned on the device.

I had the open padlock sign.
Now unfortunately I flashed with MiFlash the global rom and my bootloader is locked.
I want to know the mistake I've done - so I don't fail with it again after I'll get the approval to open my bootloader.
Thanks
no mistake, they are three batches files in the rom zip. One of them is relocking the bootloader.
Flash_all with without erase data
Flash_all with wipe data
Flash_all with relock bootloader
I don't know miflash interface but you unfortunately choose the third choice. You need now to unlock your bootloader again (maybe by creating a new xiaomi account, not sure of this).

I'm sorry if you miss understood me, but I meant to the mistake I've made with the TWERP and rom flashing.
I can't figured out what I've did wrong.
Sorry if was not clear but the problem could be here :

II think you choose in Mi Flash tool an option to flash with re-lock the bootloader (don"t know how it's designed in the app because I flashed my phone manually, using one of the 3 batch files).
Hope it will help you.

Hi! As others have already told you,
What I would do is to completely format the phone with Mi Flash (download the latest global stable fastboot version from http://en.miui.com/a-234.html), then flash it to the phone using the Flash All option, then flash my recovery or the one from xuefer (the one you prefer, both work), if you are flashing miui pro I think there is no need to flash the dm-verity file, so just wipe system + data + cache and flash miuipro.zip
Thank you all for your replais !
I will try and update right after I'll get the bootloader unlock approval.
Meanwhile you all have a great day !
Hey guys,
I just bought the Honor 10 lite and I am not really a big fan of Huawei's EMUI. That's why I wondered if there is already any custom ROM somewhere out there for this phone? I know it's pretty new and I couldn't find anything so far..
Would still appreciate any information, if somebody knows more about it.
Thanks guys :highfive:
You need to unlock bootloader 1st and that's currently impossible for honor 10 lite with Android 9
Even paid service isn't an option.

I just noticed that with the latest fw update as of today (9.0.1.142), the OEM unlock option can be now changed from the developer options menu, I guess it is still impossible to unlock it but well, now at least it lets you to change the option (before the update it wasn't even possible to do so). I'm not now able to but someone should give it a try to see if by any chance they messed up with OEM...
I think we'll have to wait many months before someone finds an hack to unlock bootloader. This is a very recent smartphone and also Huawei and Honor are not for modding, since it's everything locked and they're not providing unlock codes anymore. Too bad I discovered it after I bought it !

How did you unlock the bootloader?
To install magisk you need to install twrp first, then flash magisk zip from there. But there's no twrp for our device so far, maybe you can try running a twrp of a device with our same socket without installing it, from fastboot, and see if it works. For example
Code:
fastboot boot twrpfilename.img
If it works, then you can try flashing magisk from there.

Though there's no sense to pay a lot of money to unlock it, also if it was supported, just to have root (if you're lucky) , since there are no custom ROMs for Honor 10 lite. Our device is not made for modding. The only solution on my opinion is to wait patiently till someone finds an hack to unlock it for free, or sell your phone and buy a Xiaomi. You can unlock bootloader very easily and there are plenty of custom ROMs for it.

hey guys, i tried using bootloader first time and got myself into some situation:
C:\Users\USAKg\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\platform-tools>adb reboot bootloader
adb server version (39) doesn't match this client (40); killing...
* daemon started successfully
C:\Users\USAKg\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\platform-tools>fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp_bkl_0.7.img
Sending 'recovery_ramdisk' (23542 KB) OKAY [ 0.711s]
Writing 'recovery_ramdisk' FAILED (remote: 'Command not allowed')
fastboot: error: Command failed
Does anyone know how to unlock this one? or do i have to buy unlock bootloader code?
from site named: global unlocking solutions.miiduu ???

Hello. What the twrp_bkl_0.7.img? Where did you get it?) Is it workable?
You can always install a different launcher like Nova Launcher
this link claims you can use TWRP from Huawei P9 lite

First you need to go back to MIUI.
fastboot reboot bootloader
then flash your phone device official MIUI fastboot ROM (China).
Do not choose anything with lock option.

If the official way don't work, then you have to wait until someone figure out how to root.
You phone doesn't even belong to here. No forum for you phone yet.
So you may need to find Chinese forum to see if they can root it.

Try directly after flashing recovery via Fastboot:
Press buttons volume+ and power so long as you see the logo and feel vibration.
Now recovery ofox should start again and should be stable

You've flashed twrp via Fastboot without any glitches or not?
So you stay after flashing in Fastboot, if you press then the buttons as long as you see logo and feel vibration then the recovery should start

Finished. Total time: 0.976s
FastBoot feedback in phone screen is below.

USB Transmission OK Time:0 s Vel: 45MB/S
After I quitted FastBoot and reboot , the screen was looping in black & RedMi logo.
Anything I did wrong?

You're not using RN 10 Pro global, it must be RN 10 Pro 5g (codename chopin), a.k.a. Poco X3 GT, which is A/B device. Global one is not A/B device.
Do not continue any further before risking bricking your device.
