Regards,
first of all if you update you will get a soft brick because of twrp .. exposed and root and the twrp on oreo isnt fully functional yet so i consider you to wait and dont do the same mistake i did by updating so if any thing happens to the twrp to get it fully functional again ill tell you and give you some instructions and links so every thing goes smooth for you
Ok thanks...!
I want update.
But when browsing the forum of roms there's a lot roms supporing axynos/twrp/xposed etc...
And i saw that that twrp mount has been fixed.

Hello all.,,
I checked and read many thread slowly and steadily ,but couldn't find a good solution to root this phone 3T.
I just bought this Beautiful Device runing so smooth but with Hands tied too hard unable to run many apps and many ads and Bloatwares..
Thought to Root this device ,but all are mostly either Oxygen 3 or Marshmallow or 7.0. Version of ANdroid..and DW Error,is also a major concern to look out..
So Please help me to root this device running O2 4.1.1 (I literally dont want to change the stock,as of now) and Android 7.1.1 ,some simple steps...
Thanks and Regards
Awaiting for replies!!
I'm about to get this phone so I've been doing a lot of research myself. It looks like you can follow the steps in this thread and you can flash supersu through TWRP once you've unlocked the bootloader.
Unlock bootloader.
Flash TWRP.
Flash your preferred root zip in TWRP (SuperSU or Magisk are two good choices, I prefer Magisk).
That's about it...
i too tried the above method,,But I got struck with Logo of TWRP and got enabled only after 6 Hours.. But to my fate,,i'm still running on Stock recovery.. Not on TWRP !!
Use the latest official TWRP (currently 3.1.0-1). Works just fine.
i can relate to your question.
however, i discovered how to root the 3t and flash the usual zips files the finally the freedom rom, on my own.
it was a thrill.
i advise you to just take the blue pill.
I installed Blusparks Version of TWRP ,,but still no use,,SuperSU or Magisk both says My phone is not rooted!!!!
I want to live the Stock ROM and just to root the device,,But the steps are not futile for me!
What I would do if i was you.
Unlock bootloader
Flash TWRP
Flash latest Magisk 13.2 zip
Hey,
Is this method still valid for rooting the 3T?
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...wrp-root-nandroid-efs-backup-and-more.475142/
Yes, that is still valid, more or less. Might be a more current version of blue_spark's TWRP (official TWRP is on 3.1.1.2) although the link only says 3.1.1-x, so I don't know what that means. But probably won't make a huge difference.
Can't see what version Magisk is linked (my office network is blocking the link). If you choose Magisk, flash latest version 13.3, especially if you want to hide root (from Snapchat, banking apps, etc.). Older versions of Magisk will fail to hide, due to recent changes Google made to SafetyNet.
And what if we want to flash this beta to a brand new device?
http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3t/oneplus_3t_oxygenos_openbeta_12/
Should we first unlock the device, then install the TWRP recovery, then flash this beta rom and then root?
Hi all,
Ive been a fair while out of flashing ROMs since Note 4 Edge / HTC M7 and have today unlocked bootloader and rooted my P9.
It is currently Australian Vodafone release EVA-L09CC346B160 (Android 6) but I want Nougat.
There is no local carrier updates available but I understand that there is Android 7 available in Australia on 'international' branded handsets.
How can I identify what this firmware is for international Nougat? Can some one assist me. Or can someone advise what would be a suitable equivalent firmware that I can use in place of.
I am unsure how this device goes in flashing ROMs of higher or lower android versions on the current firmware and dont really want to brick it.
Thanks for any tips / suggestions
Umm, just found a thread mentioning L09C636B361 - will check this out, but is there any more recent? And still how does fl;ashing other premade ROMs on 7 go on top of the current Android 6 firmware go?.. Ta

using this guide you can update to the latest nougat release
Thank yuo Xtcislove
I have completed the steps suggested and now have Nougat. Though it is a newer version being .383 which was updated via OTA to .378 and then zip to .383.
Thank you for the help
I'm trying to flash firmware on my P9, now I have EVA-L09C40B181, but it stuck on 5% and HiSuite shows Recovery failed! I tried custom firmware, same problem. What can I do ?
Dfani511 - just follow the instructions in the thread provided by Xtcislove, it works but took me a long time.
I found the steps concerning the update to be added in dload was a little not clear, in the update zip that's downloaded, you need to open it until you get the dload folder, extract that and copy to the SD card.
Throughout my updating, o never ended up on the firmware you have
This N seems to be working fine, nicer looking.
I do have 1 issue, no matter what I do I can not get root to work. I'm on .383, can this one be rooted or not currently? If it can, how do I root .383? I have TWRP 3.1.0.3 as current recovery..
Or, is that ok to flash on my current P9 L09C432B383 ? from this thread - https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/root-pre-rooted-boot-img-p9-nougat-b378-t3574548
The stock and pre-rooted boot.img states its form .378 but would it be ok on .383?
I dont know how to get root on it currently...

This is what I did to root my Huawei P9 on Nougat L09C432B383:
Use the SuperSU-v.27.9-201612051815EMUI5.0.zip file flash via custom recovery and it should root your device no problem.

EDIT - Nevermind, Xtcislove, your the best man, appreciate your help with your guides etc. I went with option 1 and the handset is now rooted on Nougat. Thanks so much

3 is the version i preffer, you cant freeze apps with v1 but most things should work fine.
btw you can flash v3 over v1.
Ive flashed v3 over 1 and all appears good, root working fine. Thanks again.
Though I have noticed on both v1 and v3 that SuperSU binary needs to be updated, ob both v1 and v3. The phone fails to update both, states unsuccessful and to reboot, which also does not update the binary.
Only other thing I have done is to get BusyBox.
What can be done about the failing binary update? Will it be fine to leave as is, just getting rid of the prompt when it appears, or does it really need to have the update done sometime?
Hello, first time here but I need some help.
So I wanted to root my P10 (mainly for Viper) and I started digging around here and there (mostly in XDA). I followed few guides (on how to unlock the bootloader, how to flash TWRP, how to root...) but I still can't pull this off. Anyway, straight to the problem:
So as you can see I'm using P10 on Oreo (B360) and EMUI 8.0. I unlocked the bootloader using ADB & fastboot. Then I flashed this TWRP: link
So far everything went smooth and without any errors. I am able to boot into TWRP. So here I'm stuck trying to flash the root.zip (this one). Whenever I try I get the Error: 1 (as mentioned in the thread), however, I read here in XDA that on Oreo flashing boot.img bricks the phone? I saw several threads of people with bricked phones due to flashing boot.img. My question is - what do I do here?
I looked for other solutions like Magisk but from what I understood Viper4Android doesn't work on it.
Anyone... anything? I'd really appreciate any help.
If it's not possible (even though I've seen people with rooted P10s on Oreo...) is there a way I can revert back the changes I did so I can remove the warning message on bootup and possibly have my warranty back?
you Cant root it yet beacose there is no twrp for emui 8, so look and try some methodes root without TWRP
and why you wanna rooot emui 8, there is nothing for it, yet.
What do you mean? I already said I have TWRP and I'm able to boot into it without problems. I even linked the unofficial TWRP I flashed in my first post. Plus I saw few people here that have rooted P10s on Oreo. And finally all I want to install is Viper.
There is this TWRP by @espaciosalter20 : https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-emui-8-0-4-04-2018-t3773449
should work, support for data decrpytion...
I used MAGISK 16 to root my OREO EMUI 8.0 P10
-done....
about super root and supersu working on OREO EMUI 8.0 you have to ask in the ROOT thread.
about viper4android i don´t know..i don´t use it.
So long story short I wanted to get root access in order to install an audio mod for my phone, realized it was basically pain in the ass and most of the time it won't work so I want to revert the changes back to where I started (a.k.a. stock recovery, locked bootloader). Also system update doesn't work with TWRP, it just boots into TWRP and doesn't proceed installing the update. I'd like to fix that.
My phone is VTR-L29C432 B360 Oreo 8.0
I flashed this TWRP -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-emui-8-0-4-04-2018-t3773449
Phone hasn't been rooted.
I'm sorry if it looks like I made something dumb but I just want some help. I'd appreciate anything really.
Anyone anything? At least I'd like to revert to stock recovery so I can install B365.
On the other side would installing B365 from FF work fine with TWRP?
Really nobody has a solution? Can't I extract the stock recovery for B360 from somewhere? It's that I'm new with Huawei phone and I'm not sure how everything works here. I used to own Galaxy Y but things were simpler there.

Hi guys. I got this device today and am very happy with it.
I'm used to rooting my devices, so I want to root this one too and was hoping you could help me a bit.
I have the Oreo update installed and I see there are some TWRP that work with oreo. What is the best one to use with stock rom? I only want to root so I can install adaway and lucky patcher. Also, if an update comes later this year, like android P or something, can I switch back to the stock recovery, install it and then switch to TWRP again?
So, basically, where can I download stock recovery for Oreo, what TWRP should I use?
Thank you very much

I am pretty sure you need TWRP. Here is a good guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10-plus/development/magisk-p10-p10plus-t3752482
I do not know how to update with root. I am afraid it involves reinstalling the original recovery and a factory reset.
Unlocking the bootloader is currently a bit of a hassle since the unlock webpage is down. You'll have to contact Huawei Customer Service to get the code.
