Do you mean the functionality that watched your eyes and would scroll up or down depending on how you were viewing the screen? I do miss that...

Nope not that, unlimited menu scroll and homescreen that you keep swiping fingers and it keep going in rounds without stopping like we have now.
I was going to say I agree about the autocorrect being awful, but I did some digging and discovered you have numerous options for improving it. Mine had been set to samsung multi-language autocorrect although I was using Gboard! I changed it to English only and autocorrect by Google and - OMG it actually works flawlessly now!

Well, good, good indeed! Instead of whining and and barking to the moon waiting for a solution to fall from the sky, as other do, you made an effort to fix something and you succeded! That is the spirit!!
I went to my settings and my gboard was set just as you said. I have since made your suggested changes. I never would have imagined my settings were as you said they were. Thanks.

Have you tried wiping the Cache files in Settings > Applications > Google Play Store? If that doesn't work try rebooting your device.

Did you turn off Google play protect possibly? Maybe that is scanning for malicious software and that is when it last checked. I'm not sure, but worth checking out

I did that and turned it back on later and the same problem came back. Finally resolved by combining turning that feature off for a full day with a couple of reboots before turning it back on... Weird!

Re-installed the pro version of package disabler, updated the setting to disable all Bixby related items.... and rebooted - talk about instant! I am using the bixby button for the camera - Freaking lightning fast camera is open as soon as the Bixby button is pressed - already finished launching before the bixby button even pops back out!
