Ohh this Rom looks interesting. I will give it a try.

Welp, looks like its time to flash DotOS

Installed and booted fine. Nice ROM with a unique flair. It has the same problem as Bootleggers, where app settings will get locked down if you fiddle with it.
I'll give this ROM a good workout despite that minor annoyance. Thanks!
Heads Up Edit: Substratum theming is a bit wonky out of the box. dotOS will keep the chosen stock color theme even after applying the Sub theme. This wreaks all kinds of havoc like black screens and whatnot. Don't fret. Once a Sub theme is installed, go to advanced display settings and you'll see that it's been added to the list of options for Device Theme. Choose it and all is well.
Fret Edit: The setting doesn't stick. After a reboot, it defaults to a stock color theme mixed in with your Sub theme causing color craziness that could trigger an epileptic seizure. This ROMs uniqueness could be its downfall. Is this a DU thing? I thought I read something about their engine not being compatible with Substratum, or some nonsense like that. Anyway, deal breaker for me. Nice ROM but not for theme freaks such as myself. At least, not at this point. Sure, you can apply the option after every reboot, and it seems to hold steady, but that's your call.
Regardless, I appreciate the opportunity to give it a spin. Thanks, brother.

Thanks for the in-depth info. I know this is almost certain, but still gotta ask: Does the dual-SIM call bug still exist? That's the main deal-breaker for me at this point as I use both SIMs; I have a work and personal line D:

My pleasure. I'm not sure about duals as I only have one. Hopefully, someone will chime in.

Installed the ROM and everything seems to be settling down. I do however have one thing so far that seems to be a problem. I can't seem to disable an application without the settings force closing

It's really cool to see this ROM brought to the Axon 7. Can anyone comment on whether encryption is working? Unfortunately it seems that most of the Oreo-based ROMs have struggled to implement this essential security feature.

. Every person has their own interests. Probably you should have asked that question in a different way. I understand why active ROM developers are using (not wasting) their time on ROM flavors that are not adding the features I like most. If I had time, as I had years ago, I would be working on Resurrection Remix for Oreo (the best flavor IMHO), porting all the vendor blobs and improving the compatibility, specially the camera, DAC support and KCAL Color Control. As well as adding integrated customization menus for those features. But @Kranoner decided to join dotOS team and create this Oreo AOSP flavor for our beloved device. He has his reasons, but definitely, developing is never a waste of time.

Man, try check the APN, in some ROMs doesn't find automatically depending on your SIM Card. in pixel experience for example I need to put APN manually every Time I do a Clean Flash. I don't know if this issue is happening only in my device.

Thank you very much.
flashing the gapps gives me bootloop and reboot to the twrp
Is there a way to turn off data activity?
First of all, a big thank you to the developers who've invested their valuable time for keeping osprey devices exciting to use. I've some questions to ask. Apologies if certain questions were not supposed to be asked.
- How is the ROM general? Is it stable enough for daily driver usage? How is the battery life ?
- Are there any known issues that any one of the users experienced so far?
- Will this ROM receive OTA updates? Does unofficial / offical stages affect the usage of the ROM?
Thank you
Couldn't open the above given rom link...plz update the link

Why won't you just do the same thing Fulmics did?
Just add functionality to stock ROM, instead of coping the same bugs all over the place?
I'm not criticizing, or attacking, I just can't understand that. What is the point of creating another broken ROM??

Sorry, but I really need to reply to this:
First off, do the same thing FULMICS did? what is the point of that? Since Fulmics rom already did that.
and if the man whats to build or work on roms, thats his business, nobody is forced to flash this..
I give the man full credit for doing what hes doing. We need more people like him.... If he wants to work on things and maybe fix the bugs.. Then he can.
We shouldnt down someone for doing what they think is best.. Hes sharing with the community , something he doesnt even have to do,
But he is.. So instead of telling him what hes doing wrong, Lets tell him what hes doing right.......
anyhow Great work dude..

Tried it but didn't work. However, I was coming from Oreo before flashing this one so I guess that might be the issue?
Anyway I went back to my old rom for now until more people test this one.

If you read carefully OP, it says you must have Nougat bootloader. Maybe that is the issue.
Could someone post AnTuTu Benchmark results? I'm curious but I don't have time right now to flash this ROM myself.

Yeah I missed it originally. But most roms work coming from oreo, so I assumed it wouldn't be an issue. Anyway just a heads up for anyone that wants to try it.

I've added a safety feature so you won't be able to flash with Oreo bootloader, every rom will work with it but stuff like fingerprint scanner and some other things would be broken.
My ratings on DOT rom for LG H870
IN my opinion, maybe the best custom rom based on Lineage.
After a few days of use I can say that it is an excellent rom with some youth problems
PROS
- customizable interface, beautiful and colorful (no need for substratum)
- audio
- speed
- stability
CONS
almost all the same problems of the Lineage based roms.
- poor hands-free transmission (the receiver feels little and bad)
- bluetooth calls
- no voice match in Google assistant
- non-stable screen illumination
- no wide angle with OpenCamera
With Greenify (hibernation applications that I do not use often) and kernel auditors (conservative sets) excellent battery life
With Cstark mod Gcam good photos even with wide angle.
I hope that the development of this rom will continue by solving the problems mentioned above.
Thank you so much for your excellent work.
I am planning to switch to this time as I have quite a few issues with my current rom (aex) and even more bugs and a bootloop on my original rom. But I have never flashed a bootloader before. I am currently running the oreo bootloader. Can someone explain me how to flash the nougat bootloader? And does anyone have a link to the right bootloader?
Great thanks.

This is a serverside problem with google that seems to be resolved now. I also had to delete the setupwizard to get in but on a different rom. Some people on samsung also had issues with their stock rom and 8.8.8.8 was unable to be pinged.

I rebooted the phone and on reboot used the option to setup using data - it sat for a while on the setup screen and eventually went past it and I was able to complete setup. I had to reconnect WIFI in order to install aps from the Playstore - but everything ran pretty smoothly after I got past that initial setup screen. Never encountered this issue on any of the other AOSP roms before - but all is good now - rom is awesome. Lots of great options - everything working very smoothly so far.
Well holy poop balls! My favorite rom! Woohoo!
Dirty unicorns managed to work out how to get active edge into custom ROMs, so I'll probably have a new build out soon with that included ?
Any chance of this coming to pixel 3(blueline)?

I am curious about something that I hope you can give me some idea of why this happens. I have noticed on virtually every rom that a while after flashing some times the Icon for "Accent" disappears from the quick settings - plus, sometimes the option to change to dark theme disappears from the "Display" section of settings. It just isn't there any more.
I wasn't sure why this happens - and it seems to happen on every rom I have tried so far. (it hasn't happened to me on this rom yet, but I thought maybe you knew why it was happening. Any ideas?
I do want to thank you for this rom - everything is working very nicely so far....
will you suit pixel 3 blueline?

Most of the custom ROMs have substratum built in. It might be disabling the quick tile and either disabling or removing the theme option.
I have seen this behavior in some ROM.
Are you running any custom themes?
I run swift installer and have seem at times the option to change to dark mode and accent is greyed out.
The ROMs that have the option to use both built in and substratum seem to behave better for me.
My personal experience, others may very.
Edit btw I have the accent tile.

This is the one main reason I haven't bothered with custom ROMs and stayed stock on my Pixel 3 XL. If you can integrate this, that would be the push that would get me to jump ship pretty quickly. Definitely would recommend making this a priority as pretty much zero rooms include this feature, with exception to DU it seems.
Is there a fine changer built into this Rom? I looked at GitHub and didn't see one. If not, can I change fonts via Substratum?

Hey another day another rom, that's what you might be thinking. but we at stag (I'll try not to use big words, because the idea is to be simple) aim at something towards elegance. First of all Thanks for this wonderful ROM. It's Smooth and Stable. I haven't noticed any Major Bugs. Yet. Just had a few Hiccups while installing. After flashing the latest Illusion Kernel the FP was broken. However flashing Neutrino easily fixed that. Other thing is that some of the Menu Items are located in the wrong place. For Example the Settings for Aggressive Battery are in Status Bar section. The Horns menu is also a little Lower for my Taste but that's just me. I understand these are all Source Side so let's see if the next version fixes that. From Device Side, is DC Dimming implemented? Couldn't find it so I guess that's a no. Hopefully Soon. Other than that perfectly Smooth and Stable. Daily Driver for now......

Then there are the precious testers without whom many things would still be broken, These change from device to device and will properly be given credits.
In garlic Pritish Joshi, Saqid, Sandeep and myself tested the rom thoroughly to rid it of all the major bugs.

Change network type to 3G might help. No such issues here though
how to remove the extra space below the icons on desktop ?
the problem with all these new softwares is that they all do much the same thing. Switching from one to the other does not add much.
I went from PixelExperience to EvolutionX. Aside from a few new things in the menus, not much new. So now why switch to StogOS? what will it bring that the others do not have?
But I still encourage the volunteers who work on the system
New update is up links and changelog is added

Hi. Thank you, I have flashed it successfully. There is something I would like to ask too. I'm not sure of it is a bug or not, but when using Stag OS (still on stock kernel), whenever I lock the screen, it would open again in the lockscreen, which is weird. I checked display settings and made sure ambient display was off. It was fixed when I lock it the second time, it no longer opened again. However, when I am using it later, the same thing happens. I had to lock the phone twice to make sure the screen was off. This is when i tried to flash the Predator EAS kernel, but problem still persisted. I'm not sure if it is a rom bug or something, but I figure it would be nice to let you know. I really love the aesthetic of stag OS, hope this can be fixed soon ?
