Hi folks,
I've been struggling for almost two weeks to got OP3T work with Android Auto. I know it's not only me who is having such issue. The connection itself may be established be it randlomy disconnects after few minutes or even seconds.
Do you have any clue what is going on?
There is a ticket open on OP forums, people are having exactly the same issue.

It is an interface in your car. It lets you mirror android to the built in mulitmedia system in a vehicle. There are only main features like dialer, maps, spotify. Works great if you travel a lot and the voice commands helps. Totally hands free.
You gotta have a car which supports Android Auto obviuosly.
I drive Opel Astra MY2017.

(Sorry I'm still below 10 posts, can't write links)
I had to download an apk, since AA is not yet officialy released where I live.
Android auto works flawless for me now that I have a Oneplus 3t. It Never worked when I had the LG V10. You may want to see if it's a problem with the headunit itself and bring it to the dealer.
I have a 2017 Ford Fusion.
I never had any problems on LG G4 and same vehicle. Once switched to OP3T start having difficulties. It's not only me.
Doesn't work with OOS.
I tried, and tried to get my op3t to work with android auto, but everything I tried failed. I recently started rooting, and was able to use android auto with LineageOS, and RR roms. Turns out these
two are based on ASOP, not OOS.
So far Resurrection Remix 5.8.2 has been the most stable, and have had zero issues with Android Auto.
I don't know why OOS doesn't handle this well (at least for me), but I hope they fix it. I really like OOS, except for that one bug which is a big one for me.
Have the issue..Have not found a work around.
On any OOS build i got it to work but it will freeze when phone gets hot... When I use any other rom it works flawlessly... Right now I'm on Phoenix AOSP extended and works great..

No issue here. I'm using cheap 3rd party USB and on a Kenwood unit.

Well this is disappointing. Android Auto is one of the main features I'm looking for in my next car which I plan to get this year...
Works without a problem on my Nexus 6p and now on my 3t Car is a Civic 2016

Recently purchased a 3T and having the same issue with OOS 4.1.3. My (soon to be sold unless I go refund my 3T) Nexus 6p never had an issue with AA w/ 2016 Golf GTI.
After reading the official forum's support thread (linked in OP), I updated to the recent Open 5 Beta and gave the "change to MIDI" for USB options a shot and it works for a period of time ~10-15 min but then the OS switches back to USB charging. I have to do the same procedure again to get another short successful duration out of AA. I have roughly a dozen different branded Type C cables and only 2/10 of them work with this method (the official Dash cable being one of them).
I'm going to give RR / Lineage a go and see if they can produce steady AA connections. Since I'm also still playing Pokemon Go I can't root / will have to try the Magisk route. I currently can't seem to get my Pokemon Go Plus to Bluetooth sync with the Go app on either 4.1.3 or Open 5.
Hi,
I have stock 4.0.3 and i wanted to know if there is any solution for the annoying bug that cuts wifi hotspot (tethering) after 5 minutes?
Whenever i turn tethering on, it automatically disconnects after 5 minutes, even if another device is connected.
Any tip about fixing this huge bug will be very appreciated.
Thanks
Anyone ??
I'm sure more people have noticed this bug...
Yes noticed it.
Using freedom os fixed it.
It's based on stock oos only.
I'm on freedom os and I encounter the same bug. My solution was to remove wifi password

I have password on still my WiFi isn't shutting down after 5 mins now.
Lucky me maybe.
Also noticed that yesterday...
Noticed this two days ago when internet was down at my house and I tried using my hotspot to get work done. Was quiet annoying.

That strange I just got my OP3T and havent needed to use the hotspot yet. But my nexus 5x just started doing the same thing recently, made me wonder if its a more wide spread issue across different devices.
Yes it's very strange.
I've read somewhere else that it's only happening after the oxygen 4.0.3 update.
noticed this and can't find a solution yet.
I just got my 3T two weeks ago and I haven't tested WiFi tethering, my phone is running OOS 4.0.3, rooted with Magisk and passes SafetyNet.
I know my old Galaxy S4 worked fine for tethering for hours.
I will test WiFi tethering and to my laptop this evening while streaming content from YouTube and see if my tethering lasts longer than 5 minutes. I will also test if I can properly turn the WiFi toggle on and off without the phone acting up.
Uh this is something I will test out as well. I need a working tethering Hotspot for work and I didn't expect any issues here (just got my OP3t a few days ago.
Gesendet von meinem Nexus 6P mit Tapatalk
I've had mine a couple of weeks now and tethered a couple of times and had no issues, however, I've resisted the temptation to update to 4.0.3, due to the touch latency issue and now maybe because of this, and only updated to 3.5.4. So maybe it's a 4.0.3 issue as mentioned?
Greetings, I just wanted to follow up and state that my tethering worked just fine. I did three 10 minutes videos on YouTube at 1080p and consumed 600MB of my data plan.
No interruptions or disconnects. My 3T was on a 4G connection the entire time. Plus I did this test when my 3T was at 14% battery and went down to 8% battery.
Once again my specs are the following, OOS 4.0.3 and Magisk Rooted.
The actual issue is hotspot will be disabled if no device is connected.
Only fix I found was using either Tasker or Automate to check that and switch it back on (I use a location trigger, since I need while at office only).

When enabling Portable hotspot, which uses Mobile Data and allows others to connected to the phone, it states inside "Connected Device Manager" that this feature will be turned off after 5 minutes if there is no device connected.
I'm not sure that this is a problem, I'm sure my Galaxy S4 did the same thing when no device is connected after a period of time.
But yes creating a Tasker profile to keep toggling this on when it turns off would work.

I 'm on BLA-L29 too, and it's not working. Works perfectly with a Note so it's defenately the phone that messes up.
I have no in call screen on my head unit and with every reboot I have to wipe all data of AA to make it kinda work.
Using stock cable btw.

I am using the stock cable as well . And no issue at all so it definitely not the phone .

You're lucky
Just trying to narrow this issue down
What's your build? Here I have 8.0.0.29 (C432) in Belgium.
Very weird that some units have it, others don't.

8.0.0.128 c636
Huawei P10 with Oreo Beta from Spain.
Incoming call and media not working.
Call screen not working on Honor 7x, reverts to using the built in dialer .
Edit: Waze doesn't work either.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro here (BLA-L229 8.0.0.128(C636)), not working with AA as well. Sometimes I am able to see the time and temperature in the top right corner. Otherwise everything is black. After disconnecting the phone, the screen stays blank until I turn off the car.
The same in-dashboard screen works perfectly with a Samsung Galaxy S7 and an iPhone 6s (CarPlay). Tried different cables (original too) and tried reinstalling AA, but no luck.
Car is a North American Chevrolet Cruze 2016.
Mate 9 (Nougat and Oreo) AA working fine MINUS CALL SCREEEN, with Pioneer Z5050BT, although Waze was wonky from the start (Nov-Dec '17). With AA 3.0, everything seems quite stable on Mate9.
P10+ Nougat freezes often despite having the same setup. Funny cause they are using similar hardware.
Honor View 10 does not work with 2017 Seat Leon with Full Link
Only black screen. I can hear Spotify and G assistant - any chance that Huawei/Honor will fix that?
Android auto aka AA, works with Huawei p10, 02/27-2018
Greatings from Denmark!!
Just installed AA on my p10 today, so it works now. I installed it from apkmirror the newest version.
If AA is not avaliable in your country, then use a vpn(set to Germany) . That's what I did since AA is not avaliable in Denmark. After setup and testing AA Uninstall vpn and you are all golden!!!!!
I got this working on a seat Ibiza 2016 1,0 tsi orginal multimedia radio.
My Honor 6x keeps giving me the message "to use android auto please park your car and check your android phone" Nothing works and I keep getting the standard USB port message asking me to hwether I want to use just for charging or MTP . But my choice always defaults to charging and AA does not work. AA loads on the phone but nothing on my Pioneer 5090BT HU. I am on EMUI 5.0. BLN-L22C65B340. Please help.
P9 Lite here and all seems to work well. never had a problem with my new car (AA 3.0)
Edit: all work on stock apps. If i try to install something like waze or others it freeze for 2/3 sec then it give me black screen and i have to disconnect the phone.
honor view 10 with opel intellilink 4.0
honor view 10 with opel intellilink 4.0, black screen with original cable and others. a disaster
Can Anybody Please Provide Google Camera Port For Honor 10 lite Compatible
I need one version contain potraiet mode
dead community here
https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/gcamera/GCam_6.1.021_Arnova_advanced_1.4.031419.0947.apk
i tried this one and it works but (portrait and night sight does not work) also its not good.. the default camera app have much better quality and everything so yeah its not working properly maybe because we didn't unlock bootloader and root our phone
Is it the same as this one https://www.xda-developers.com/down...-sight-honor-play-huawei-mate-10-mate-10-pro/ ? If it isn't, can anyone confirm if it works. I intend to buy Honor 10 Lite due to availability of NFC.
Just checked the stock camera app on my Honor 10 Lite, it supports Portrait mode.
No need for ports I guess...
Sorry it doesnt works on honor 10 lite
I noticed that most Xiaomis 9/10 don't run Geekbench 4 and 5 . In version 4 , the test runs but in the end it throws an error that it can not communicate with the Geekbench servers altough internet works in other apps . In version 5 , it completes the test then the app just crashes . Probably there are other apps that behave like this, why ?
As for the ROM , older is most stable , 12.5.18.0
I never thought a mid-range phone could have such software issues .
Works on mine no problem. Geekbench 5. Blocked net access and it just fails to upload no crash.
Miui 13 global.
Didn't have a chance to run it with miui 12.5.
