I think that showing that the phone is awake during charging is normal. It does it on my phone, running OOS5.0.1.

@alsayed are you charging with original Dash charger and cable? What about the temperature of the phone, does it feel hot or warm?

Might not be your power bank, try using BBS to find out
After a day i can confirm is NOT the power bank. since this happened in the past 3 days
i used Airplane mode all the night to see if some a is Wakelock my phone and got just 3 % of battery usage with the power bank attached, so i manage another test since BBS told me is Android System RIL or something like that.
Second Test: Disabled 3G+ Connectivity for 2 hours and enable just GSM 2G and just got 4 % dropped ( i make a few calls and used whatsapp so is OK), i think is 3G becuase where ilive is outside the city and recently we got a heavy storms (causing shoutdown of the nearest anntena) i have low reception rnothing and 3g running so i think my phone is using more battery trying to acquire more signal and 3G support.
I'm using Galaxsy s3 lte with caynogen mod on it.
my problem ocuured before i falshed the Caynogen mod.
As in the title my problem is that I have a short battery life time.
little details about my problem:
- my phone has arrived with a european charger 50 HZ , version is : I9305xxbme1
- the problem started while I was in a trip to taiwan they have American electricity 60 HZ . I was charging my phone for a long while, when the battery was about 5-10 % charged the screen quality was very low, the colors where not sharp at all , and the phone was working slowly. Therefore I took the battery out, it was a little moisty(the phone never touched water or been near them ) so I left it out for the night, then i placed the battery back in my phone and waited for it to go empty, when it did, I charged the battery back to 100% when the phone is turned of, and that solved the sharpen problem of the screen. However, when the phone was getting to about 5-10% it would automaticly shot down after the screen "blinked" and when I hit the turn on button it will not turn on - stuck on the syanogen / samsung boot picture. after charging the phone it would boot normally.
- while being in taiwan my laptop screen also got out of service and was fixed by applying warranty, on the phone i dont have warranty anymore.
that and more , the phone is getting realy warm.
thanks for helpping <3

Perhaps you should try a different kernel like boeffla or agni, to see if the problem persists or try another rom other than CM. Im on liquidsmooth rom with its default kernel and i have to say im very very happy with the battery life, see picture of battery since last charging.

hello everyone, here is my problem - in last couple of week i'm having really big battery problems (to the point i'm thinking of smashing my phone to the ground ) I take my P9 of the charger and it says it is at 100%, after only few min it drops to about 90%, and when i open some app (facebook atc) it freezes and when i try to turn it on again it says 0% battery!! when i hook it up on charger it takes 20 mins to charge to 1%, and when i turn it on again it says anywhere between 40% and 100%!!! Freezing most commonly appears when i turn on my camera and take a picture, it snaps then freezes. Tried with the factory reset it didn't help.
Please anybody!!!
Most likely the battery has worn out. Is it still under warranty?
Same here, sometimes camera apps freeze and then i will reboot it. After reboot, phone shows 5% power and then force itself into shutdown. The battery actually may not empty as told by phone, when i start charging, it shows more than 5% and phone actually have juice to run longer.

Sounds like a battery replacement to me. Have to tried installing AccuBattery or anything similar to check the battery health?

It's not the battery causing this fault

I have replaced the battery in my P9 and it still gets a power drain when the camera is operated. This usually occurs in low light environments. If I immediately turn the phone back on it starts up with maybe 20% battery, which then drops 1% a second and gets hot. This is with a brand new battery fitted. I conclude there is a glitch with updated software. Hopefully Huawei will read these posts and correct with future updates.

Not the battery
Try removing your sd memory card. I think a malfunctioning sd card was causing issue of battery drain during camera use. I can't explain the full science behind this, but my p9 phone has been fine since I removed the sd

I have no idea why this is happening. It's been 2 weeks since I purchased the phone. The screen time is showing 1hr 23mins but the phone was idle at night. Is there a fix for this issue?

Something is keeping your phone from deep sleeping. When the display is off it can be in one of two states, one is the phone is still on, CPU is running but the screen is blanked out, this lets apps continue to work, for example sending an email you've just sent then turned off the phone. Then after a little bit more time the phone goes into deep sleep, this sees everything frozen so nothing is running and the CPU is off. It should be in this deep slate state most of the time you are not using the phone. What can happen is applications take a wake lock, and stop the phone from going to deep sleep, and over many hours that really drains the battery.
Restart the phone and see if it is now okay. Consider what applications you have installed recently that might be causing the issue.

is this normal guys or there's some issue?
hello the battery stats are not consistent. This was seen on several xiaomi models. Better use an extra app to monitor. Screen as biggest drainer alone uses normally 9-15%/hr depending on brightness. in your case 1hr9min 13%loss is normal.
Hi,
I think mine same issue as yours. Put the device overnight (location, bluetooth on & internet access off) for 8 hours, 6-7% of battery drops.
Where cell standby consume the most battery.
Even with airplane mode, still 4-5% drop.
May I know is it same as your condition?
Thanks in advance.
Mi10 which was 1y old , i was able to have full charge (even 85% with battery limiter), was lasting until 2nd day evening (40h +), normal usage.
12 Pro - fully charged in the morning 100% and evening is under 20-15%, really disappointed with battery life / management
Running this Stable "xiaomi.eu_multi_XM12Pro_V13.0.32.0.SLBCNXM_v13-12"
not good but also not too bad
official EEA Rom with accu battery stats and 120hz whdq+ 2sim and no restrictions. (location...)
Not sure if it will help, i'm on Mi Mix 4 and using MIUI 13.0.6 EU ROM.
Cell standby used to eat 70% of my battery i followed the following steps and the issue fixed.
1. Go to Google play store.
2. Search for "carrier services" app by google.
3. Uninstall it to reset it to factory settings.
before uninstalling
5 hours after uninstalling
I hope it helps !

update after mobile being switched on overnight.
OK, have just done this. Note it says the last update was removed. Surely Play Store will attempt to update the app - should I allow that?
Update - does not work for me.
