[Q] When will Magisk support Project Treble? - Magisk

I can't flash Magisk on Project Treble ROM, when I do this, my phone gets bootloop.
And I found an unofficial Magisk here which supports Treble ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...official-treble-enabled-resurrection-t3761279
So I want to know whether official will support Treble ROM?
Thanks.

It certainly is going to depend on the Treble implementation.
I've got an honor View 10 with Treble and Magisk supports it - @topjohnwu published it for that phone.

I have the same problem ,did you solve it ?

Did any other Unofficial Builds of Magisk come out with the new commits for Project Treble, i think i tried 13 different versions....

I definitely see treble compatibility commits on official github for magisk. But found no builds so far.
Its been 3 days since last commit so I guess its under testing. Let's see.
Mad respect to TopJohnWu though; coming back from military service and immediately comes with treble compatibility!!!!

Yeah. I found it. But there is no mention of supporting Treble Devices in the changelog or somewhere else.

Will LineageOS provide official OP3T ROM?

Now that CM group is gone and LineageOS starts to provide ROMs for couple of devices including OnePlus1-2, OnePlusX and OP3 and other brands. I am waiting for official LOS ROM for my OP3T. But as I go through xda-developers —> OnePlus 3T, I can only see some UNOFFICIAL LOS ROMs or UNIFIED LOS ROMs for OP3T.
Does anyone know if LOS group is to provide OFFICIAL ROM for OP3T?
Don't know if I've posted at a wrong place. Thanks
Yes! The next weekly will be same for OP3 & OP3T.
Quoted original announcement below:
dianlujitao said:
Today I switched the kernel to the LA.UM based one, and merged patches for op3t support.
It means, the NEXT weekly will be a unified build for both op3 and op3t.
As we're not shipping radio images now, you may need to install the latest OOS radio images to pass the TZ assertion.

So, no dedicated LOS for OP3T? They will only provide a UNIFIED ROM for OP3 & OP3T?

Does LIneageOS for microG have a build for the 3T or 3 only?

Hello;
Does anyone know if the specific LineageOS for microG (lineage.microg.org) site's build for the OnePlus3 is also for the 3T? I wanted to try out a non-googlized phone and this seemed like a simple way to do it. They only have a build for the 3 and I'm not sure if it's for both. Thanks.
It's a unified release for both devices, so you don't have to worry about flashing a wrong build. But in case you're still anxious about it being wrong, here are some unified LOS/RR Builds that are on XDA;
LOS MicroG : https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...ice-development/rom-lineageos-microg-t3700981
RR unofficial MicroG : https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...3-op3t-unofficial-resurrection-remix-t3649591
Cheers!
@thes3usa Thank you!
I thought it was a unified build but was not sure. I thought about those XDA builds, but Oxygen has just been so spot on for me I kept hesitating.

[TREBLE][SAGIT] ProjectTrouble reloaded

Project Trouble reloaded
What is Project Treble:
Project Treble basically partitions your device into two separate partitions, a system and a vendor: system contains your generic system image, while vendor partition has your device specific files required for booting and running your phone. This way we can easily change the system image and be able to run our device on different system images with the same kernel and vendor partition
Read more about Project Treble
What's a GSI?:
A GSI literally means Generic System Image. It is a general system image meant for no specific device. Treble enabled devices have the capability to run a GSI.
Install:
Download Project trouble reloaded. Link
Download a GSI. Link
Reboot to latest Official TWRP. Link
Wipe everything and format data - yes.
Flash Firmware newer then 8.4.19 and Project trouble reloaded.
Install the GSI
Reboot

Note:
Use Magisk 16.7 and Shev-T TWRP if you want to install magisk

Custom rom for SM-T510 ?

Currently I've lineage os on my tablet (t510), I'm searching for something else more stable and with a bit more functions.
Any ideas ?

If you want roms with more function, try heading over to the project treble section of xda and flashing some GSI images. Currently using phhusson's stock Android 10 with go gapps but you might like to use a ROM with more features.

Based on my current understanding, project treble aims to make it easier for OEMs (like Samsung) to update android. Here's a more in depth read about project treble: https://www.computerworld.com/artic...ect-treble-android-upgrade-fix-explained.html
A GSI is a Generic System Image that can be flashed on top of existing vendor code. So it makes it easier to change/update your android OS without companies like Samsung having to modify their hardware compatibility code (that's the goal anyways) which leads to faster updates.
For us enthusiasts, that means we can flash the same stock android GSI ROM, lineageOS GSI ROM, resurrection remix GSI, etc. on any phone supporting project treble (all devices that came out with android 9+ & some android 8).That's the same GSI file on any device with a recent version of VNDK. It's not all perfect for compatibility yet, but I've yet to run into any issues.
Yup! As @Roarmaster said you can check out Project Treble page. I too use GSIs and have flashed 3 GSIs so I can recommend you some. In project treble section for AB devices search for Bless GSI, it has lot of customization and works quite well, selinux enforcing, megisk safety net passes and google play certification all by default.

Thank you for the tip, this sounds like an interesting option. I'm looking at flashing a custom ROM onto my SM-T510 in the hope of improving the performance as the multitaking on the stock rom isn't great. Can I ask have you been flashing A, B, or A/B ROMS? I've installed two different Treble checker apps and they gave conflicting results.

Flash the rooms from the A/AB section of project treble. When checking for treble compatibility, use the app recommended on Phusson's GSI page as most GSIs are based on his work. If you want to flash a ROM, make sure you flash the arm32-binder64-ab version (like it says from the treble app) for the SM-T510.
Amazing! Thank you for the info and links @Roarmaster, I really appreciate the help. I've known about project Treble for a while but I've been out of the custom ROM scene for quite a few years, so I had no idea you could flash like this. I'll give one of Phusson's roms a go. Thanks again!

Are you talking about GSI in general, or do you want to run 12L?
Either way, here is the official Android Source page. This is for experts only as it is developmental software. Do not attempt if you are inexperienced. Do not use this for your daily driver.
