I have recently flashed one of the nougat Roms and would like to return to the stock from with Android 6.
My phone is a virgin contract phone(with optus boot screen) eva-l09 FCC ID qiseva-l09 I 6369a-eval09.
Can anyone tell me which stock from to get so that things like Android Pay work?
Australian Virgin phone btw
Pleaae, search in the forum, there are some threads about this...
I have searched, there is a thread with a heap of different stock firmwares but I'm unsure which one is right because I flashed the nougat Roms and now I'm unsure of the model number of the phone and I have no backup.
Presumably the model number in the nougat Roms info is wrong, maybe I have cross flashed?

Use the 136 full rom.
https://mega.nz/#!QE4TTSzJ!OjP6yXFtliK4XDRHLNIAKgxpf0gmhEeksDr_fjja0oY
1-. create folder "dload" in your external sdcard. Uncompress the rom zip inside it (one file "UPDATE.APP" and 2 folders: "dt" and "hw")
2-. turn off yout phone
3-. turn it pressing and holding power button + volume up + volume down
wait to restore.
Can you let me know if this works for you, nuttzo?
I've been trying to do the same as you for about a week now, with no progress
OK,ill have to find a different mirror for the file because that mega link seems to not work properly.
Through the phone I've tried downloading the file and both times the file is corrupted despite appearing to download fully.
On the raspberry pi the file stops once it hits 2gb and complains that the file is too big.
Thanks Iomunet but I can't download the file.
Mega sucks,i don't know why people use it.
Try installing mega app or from computer...

I only have a raspberry pi and the Android phone.
Mega sucks and doesn't work on both.
Unfortunately I don't have a Windows PC anymore.
OK I've managed to find another link to the stock ROM and have successfully downgraded back to marshmallow.
Android pay is still not working, any way to fix that?
Also Huawei id doesn't work, something about unable to service region.
Any way to fix these 2 issues?
OK it looks like if I install twrp after unlocking the bootloader I can flash the oeminfo IMG and remove the c900 build number from the phone.
That should get Android Pay working.
Now I have to pay for a bootloader code because I don't have Windows and I can't seem to get it through Huawei because their emails in chinglish are cryptic and the website links are broken.
Install adb and fastboot from your Pi

You still have to unlock the bootloader to flash twrp don't you?
I have the Android and fastboot tools installed in Raspbian but I never checked the OEM unlock option in the developer options.
When I tried flashing twrp before it came up with an error something about unable to write due to permission error.
I assumed it was because the bootloader was locked.
you must unlock your bootloader first, yea. Huawei have a webpage to do it.

Haven't had success with getting to the Huawei page to unlock bootloader.
The closest I got to one I couldn't proceed because it required my mobile number but none of the country codes were from Australia so I couldn't get the SMS.

Do I mark as solved or anything like that?
Just out of curiosity, how was nougat? Why did you switch back?
I'm not really sure what I'm doing, I changed my country code from "demo" to eu and I'm on EVA-L09C432B182. There's so many different versions and I don't know which is good or even compatible. What would be the next thing you guys would do in order to get the most from my phone?
Edit - I just jumped in at the deep end and everything wen't well, I'm now on Nougat with emui 5.0, if you're in the same boat as I was, I used the Huawei Update in the second post of this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/help/p9-7-0-nougat-update-eva-lo9-b182-t3539754"]https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/help/p9-7-0-nougat-update-eva-lo9-b182-t3539754

I have an eva-L09 with C900B190 and have country "demo" ??
I read a lot of posts how to get from the C900B190 to a Rom that has ota updates.
Before I start and because I am a bit of a noob I want to be absolutely sure I get all steps correct...please help me out and confirm/correct this
1) set develloper usb debugging
2) make sure phone connects to pc
3) install latest twrp
4) unlock boot loader with tool (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/huawei-p9-eva-l09-eva-l19-eva-l29-tool-t3591358)
5) make note of unlock code
6) use twrp to flash B136 (still have to find zip)
do I get ota to android 7 or I have to flash latest Rom meself (what is the best version for eva-L09?)
After that can I lock the boot loader and stay on android 7 or will the phone reset with locking and revert to android 6 again?
Thanks for helping
Contacted huawei, they were very helpful I will probably go to the service center to hopefully reset my phone to receive updates.
I also asked for an unlock code in case I need a plan B.

Seems I have no warranty (I got the phone from a friend and have no papers or anything) and have to pay for service centre. So I will try unlocking myself...
If anyone can help me out with all the steps in the right order I would be very grateful.
I thought I would quickly let New Zealand P9 Lite owners know that for the past month I have been in a battle with Huawei. After months of saying they would be releasing EMUI 5 in New Zealand they have confirmed the past month that they, and I use their words "have no intention of releasing this update in New Zealand". Essential our phones stopped being supported in New Zealand in Septemeber 2016.
The good news is Huawei do not understand New Zealand law, they think that their TOS override the consumer guarantees Act. There is two reasons that you can get a full refund, one is that they have been releasing this update overseas and are simply just not releasing it in NZ. The other that last october Nick Stephens from Shellphish found some major bugs in the trust zone that allows a person to bypass the fingerprint scanner. Huawei released an update to this in december 2016 but did not and refuse to release it to NZ.
I talked to MEBI who advised me that the applicable law was.
“there is a guarantee that the manufacturer will take reasonable action to ensure that facilities for repair of the goods and supply of parts for the goods are reasonably available for a reasonable period after the goods are so supplied.” http://www.legislation.govt.nz/act/...sw_096be8ed814da84a_facilities_25_se&p=1&sr=1
That said we have just had a full refund for our 3 p9 lites. I suggest anyone else with a p9 lite that is waiting for these updates follow the same path and get a refund
Hmm, I purchased mine from Noel Leeming in July 2016, am I still eligible for the CGA return? I kinda want Nougat
I noticed on a geekzone post in mid June that someone got a reply from the Huawei Facebook page promising NZ p9 nougat!
Response from Huawei NZ "Please be advised the P9Lite software upgrade will be available in New Zealand towards the end of the year. Thanks"
Hi everyone. I work at Spark and have been talking with our device delivery manager. As of last month Huawei was saying that the update was not in the pipeline.. now they are telling us that the nougat update is in testing. I asked our team, testing what as it's already been released around the world?!
Either way. I got sick of waiting and followed a guide on here to change the localisation to update to b380. Let me tell you Nougat works much better!

Yeah it was a combination of a couple threads on here. Let me see if I can put something together.
Below is the steps I used to successfully change my NZ p9 lite to the global Nougat rom. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. You 100% will reset your phone so backup and remove your data. I do not take any responsibility for this, you are attempting at your own risk. All credit goes to the authors in the links provided.
Step 1: unlock bootloader: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-twrp-root-t3405701
I did not use the tool to ender the code in this link, I just used ADB
Step 2: Using k1ll3r8e ‘s Toolkit, https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...nt/europe-vns-l31-toolkit-bootloader-t3432873
a. On his post, download pkg.L22C636_DS.zip. This gives you the oem info that you will need.
b. Flash TWRP (recovery) to the phone.
c. Backup stock recovery to be safe!
d. Restore oem in TWRP, but use from L22C636 info.
Step 3: Download Update.zip for VNS-L22C636B140 (have to be honest, not sure if I did B140 or 120…) from https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...huawei-p9-lite-firmware-compilations-t3517124
A. Create a folder called dload in SD-card main.
B. Extract the file in dload UPDATE.APP folder from update.zip above
C. Turn off phone, disconnect from computer
D. Press both Volume keys (VOL UP and DOWN) and then the power key and hold until the software update starts.
Step 4: This will vary. For me, when I flashed the C636 oeminfo file it somehow relocked my bootloader and removed TWRP… if yours doesn’t you can follow standard procedure to do this.
Now you are on the global B636 rom.
Step 5: im not sure if eventually would get updated or not, but I then used Firmware Finder to force update (can get in play store): https://forum.xda-developers.com/tools/general/huawei-firmware-finder-team-mt-t3469146
I went from B140 to B360 to B380
What a difference!
Very interesting subject. I have enquired with Huawei to verify this. Debatable if I get any response; but worth a shot.
Can anyone download the VNS-L22C636B*** update files from the supplied link? I tried all 3, with both Chrome & Firefox, & no luck.

Sorry looks like the links are dead now . I do have it downloaded. let me see if I can get it up. If not, you can also use the Firmware finder to download them.
Well, I did receive a response to my query from Huawei. One can only hope it is accurate.
"Dear,
Thank you very much for contacting Huawei.
With regards to your inquiry, we would like to sincerely apologise for the delay as the update is still undergoing some testing on our devices to ensure that our users will fully enjoy the Nougat update for our devices. Not to worry as the update will be ready very soon and that you may stay tuned to our Official FB Page and Consumer Page for further updates pertaining the release of the device's update in the links below:"
This is the official FunkyHuawei support thread.
FunkyHuawei is a (mostly) paid service which allows you to do the following:
1. Install the latest system software, even before it's released by OTA.
2. Install beta/prerelease system software, without needing to be a beta tester.
3. Recover a bricked phone.
4. Rebranding / Change the region of your phone (China -> Europe, for example, to get Google and so on.)
5. Root your EMUI 8 phone, even with stock recovery (This feature is free)
Except for rooting, all of these features are supported even if you cannot unlock your phone's bootloader.
We are pleased to announce FHUnbrickFlashTool -- You can now repair any recent Huawei phone via fastboot, even if you cannot access eRecovery or boot the phone! Even if it doesn't show the Huawei logo, as long as you can get a fastboot connection to your computer, you can recover the phone! Google FHUnbrickFlashTool or check FunkyHuawei's reddit for details.
To find FunkyHuawei, please Google it. Or you can find a link to the service within the following XDA Portal article.
https://www.xda-developers.com/android-oreo-emui-6-huawei-mate-9/
In cooperation with XDA, FunkyHuawei is offering a free credit to Recognized Developers and Recognized Contributers on XDA.
Please PM me for more details.
We will continue posting in this thread with updates regarding new software versions and releases regarding this device.
We will also be monitoring it so we can help anyone who has issues.
For device-specific information, please see the next post.
P10 Plus Device-Specific Information
The P10 Plus now has a relatively mature community with many methods to do many things.
However, there are still some things only possible with FunkyHuawei, so it would be most useful for:
1. Installing updates on bootloader-locked devices, even if the update is not approved by Huawei for your device.
2. Rebranding bootloader-locked devices, or rebranding to obscure carrier brandings.
3. Restoring bricked devices.
Note that even though the Mate 10 Root tool is designed for the Mate 10, it works perfectly on the P10 Plus running Android O betas.
This tool is FREE, and might be easier than installing TWRP and rooting that way.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much does FunkyHuawei cost?
A: You need to buy credits on the FunkyHuawei website. The price per credit varies depending on the number of credits you buy. Different operations cost different amounts of credits. However, the Root feature of the Mate 10 tool is free, and as mentioned above, Recognized Developers/Contributors of XDA can ask for a free credit.
Q: My phone is bootloader locked, and FRP locked. My bootloader unlock code dosen't work. It won't boot. eRecovery doesn't work. Can you help?
A: Yes. With the Mate 10 this is now a common situation. Contact FunkyHuawei for help in this situation. We'll need to access your computer remotely and the procedure is a little bit complicated, but the phone can be unbricked.
Q: I can't get my bootloader unlock code/don't want to unlock my bootloader, but I want to change my phone to something other than Chinese. Can you help?
A: Yes. Our new FunkyHuawei Rebrand Tool works on ALL recent Huawei phones, to rebrand them to another region even when the bootloader is locked.
Q: I'm not seeing the latest version listed on FunkyHuawei or elsewhere as an OTA. Why not?
A: Huawei has a very odd and unpredictable way of rolling out OTA updates. You can use FunkyHuawei to install the new version immediately, or can wait for the update to be rolled out. It might be a month or more after release until the update reaches your device from Huawei directly. We have no idea why.
Q: Why isn't FunkyHuawei free?
A: Because many of FunkyHuawei's features cost FunkyHuawei money to provide. Features that don't cost FunkyHuawei money to provide, like rooting the Mate 10 or our TWRP build for Mate 9/Oreo, for example, are generally made available for free. There are also bills to pay, kids to put through school, and so on.
Q: I noticed FunkyHuawei in an XDA Portal article!
A: FunkyHuawei loves XDA, and is cooperating with them as much as possible. Recognized Developers and Contributors on the XDA forums are welcome to claim a free credit from FunkyHuawei as well.
Q: I have a different question.
A: This is what this thread is for! Post away!
I thought "official" FunkyHuawei threads violated XDa's terms an conditions due it being a paid service?
VKY-L29C432B177 coming. Changes are addition of VoLTE and VoWifi (carrier dependent).
Will be available on FunkyHuawei shortly.
UPDATE: Available now.
P10 plus stuck on fastboot. Black screen, no led.
Follow the rebranding manual result in brand new p10+ hard bricked.
Now the pone is completly dead black screen, no led when plugs the usb, no vibration. I had lost all hope until after it stayed connected for a long time to the pc I realized that windows was detecting somthing.
adb doesn't detect the device but fastboot detecs it.
I have tried to reboot in bootloader or flashing recovery without success. The commads apparently work and end with ok but after a reset the phone only load in fastboot mode without any other life signals. Bootloader is unlocked.
is there any solution to fix this?

I backed up my device using TWRP, I excluded the data partition since it is not working in TWRP. After I restored my device my bootanimation changed from Huawei animation to an "android" logo and when the device booted, I tried to open settings and the app instantly closes and same with the camera app. The camera app shows the name com.huawei.camera instead of saying "Camera" and all other apps started crashing. So, I wiped everything except my internal storage and restored my backup and now when I boot the device everything is black and I can only see the navigation keys and when I hold my power button I can see the restart and power off option. After like 2-3 minutes I get this message "You have run out of storage space" and when I press ok it takes me to a screen which shows 64/64 GB used. I have 0 space left on device

You can probably recover by using FHUnbrickFlashTool. If you contact FunkyHuawei support we can ask you for some more information to confirm exactly what the problem is.
Good work. I'll be more impressed when we finally work out a systemless root, i've lost count of the many OTA updates from Huawei - meaning their OS must be full of bugs and glitches for commonly used apps and typical use. Will we ever get there?
RoOSTA
Do not use this service. SCAM!
Hello everyone,
I'm new in xda's forum and so that's my first thread.
I hope you can help me.
I have a Huawei P9 EVA-L09C02B357 that lately it automatically reboot about every 2 minutes. The interesting things is that it happened only if I boot the ROM (stock or not). But in recovery mode (or erecovery) or fastboot mode, this automatic reboot doesnt manifest.
All is started when I have tried to install RROS Nougat on my phones and it was working when i tried to turn off the phone and then turn it on but nothing, the phone was stuck on boot phase.
I decided to switch data file system from f2fs to ext4 and then reinstall it as the guide explains.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-t3606185
The ROM worked correctly except the fingerprint sensor.
During the first configuration, it scans my fingerprint but for a bug, i couldnt go over the first scan.
Searching on the internet I understood that the problem could be the modem. But for a mistake I have flashed the wrong fix for the modem (it was for another phone, don't ask me how I didnt notice it).
Now even with stock rom or custom the phone has this automatic reboot. Particularly the stock rom has many bugs every time i flash it, like: there isn't the IMEI, there aren't any preinstalled apps, is really slow in some situations and the default keyboard is the voice typing...
I think the solution is to flash the stock modem, but when I try to flash it via fastboot, it says: "No suitable files selected. Check profiles.xml".
Thanks in advance
P.S. sorry for my bad english :C

To go back to android 6, my phone should have android 7 installed? Cuz now i have some problems to flash it.
UPDATE
Thank you so much vampirian!
I have successfully installed android 6 and the automatic reboot is gone.
Now i'll try to update it and probably retry to install RROS .

This is not the serial number (of your device) but the stock firmware build mame/number
If you debrand to c432 (EU) from your c900, you will automatically receive (must have SIM card in) OTA updates first to b242 (over your b182) and then further OTA updates up to b399 or even b502
PS: For debranding to c432 you can use this guide

If you have debranded to c432 as suggested in my previous post, let it update as far as it gets (b398, b399 or even b502).
Once it stops receiving OTAs, perform Hard reset with wiping Internal memory (you can do it from Settings or from eRecovery)
Btw, if it attempts an OTA but it fails, then go back to the updating screen and choose Full update, instead of (default) differential update.
Which ROM to suggest you - Magic Rainbow v4:

Now the phone is installing the b395 update. Is the hard reset necessary?
I knwo the existence of Magic Rainbow but i didn't know that it is based on Emui. I'll download it because i guess it is more stable than RROS.
It seems that i cant go over b395.

Are you now on EVA-L09 c432 b395, exactly as that?
You do not receive further OTA, or you received OTA but it failed (in that case force Full update as suggested above)?
If you're really not receiving OTA b398 or b399, try Hard reset with wiping Internal memory - if still mo OTA, install b398 by HWOTA method
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75787156&postcount=3
Once you reach b398, you're ready for MR v4.

If you boot to eRecvery ( Vol+ and Pow) you will find Hard reset option.
Similarly, under Settings /Advanced Settings/ Reset phone there is also hard reset option - cannot tell you better details, I have TWRP and MR v4, I don't have these options.
Also if you 'dial' ' *#*#2846579#*#* a hidden Project menu will open, with Restore Factory option

The only method that i know to go in erecovery, if bootloader is locked, is by using PC and know i can't...
What if I use firmware finder?

Both two last options as listed (Settings and Project Menu) are present in stock ROM.
And you can boot to eRecovery as above - shut down, then press and keep pressing Vol+ and Pow together
If not OTA, then the best way for manual updating is HWOTA, I gave you the link also above
But still, you didn't confirm, are you really on EVA L09 c432 b395, ie, you are not on L19 (by mistake)

I was on EVA-L09 c432 b395 and now I'm on b502. I tell you what I did.
I tried to make a reset bt the Project Menu option but, the reset it didn't gave any update...
So I tried with firmware finder (android version) and I used the DNS method. I have chosen the b397 OTA and the updater found it.
During the download, it arrived at 25% and suddenly the phone has found the b502 for a total of 4 patch to download together (I dont know how to explain that thing).
After download the phone reboot for installing phase but it failed... and on boot it appeared a red warning, then i went to erecovery, shut off the phone and go to recovery mode for a factory reset.
Factory reset was a success but on boot the red warning still appear but i tried to continue to boot... fortunately it was all ok but the phone was on b395.
It magically appeared the screen for b502 Full-OTA update and now I have it!
I wouldn't understimate you but I always prefer to try solution by myself.
(sorry again for my bad english)
