Hello, I just changed my phone from a galaxy s7 edge to a note8 and i use callrecorder (skvalex) for years and it works perfectly. Since this new phone I can not find the right setting for recordings. It saves my side but the speaker is not audible ... I tested the parameters a bit but I can not find anything, and the note8 is not in the list of the application. Someone can help me ?
Cause when you are using wireless headphone or speaker Dolby Atmos option feature is not available. So, is there any tricks to enable it for Bluetooth Devices?

Hi mate, That never work, the only solution that i've found was, root with magisk and instal JamesDSP along with audio modification library. Both modules can be found in magisk plugins list.
Hope it helps.

Huawei claimed that will be solved on future updates, but never happened. I couldn't find another way. I don't know if it works on EMUI 9

I'm having same issue and thinking the same solution!
Having Emui9 but still no Dolby Atmos with bluetooth earphones
I find this Huawei very disappointing for audio. Huawei chooses to only have a usb-c. To me that sounded like bluetooth is the alternative, but then Dolby Atmos is not supported. :crying:
I've been trying several equalizer apps and different bluetooth earphones, but cannot get proper sound.

I've decide to stay in EMUI 8 because the lack of support of James DSP which is the only one that works. So far, I haven't found a sound mod for pie so I remain in Oreo unitil then.
Finally it's working perfectly in P30 Pro???
Hi,
I have a problem with my phone that started today.
The problem is that whenever I connect my Note 8 (N950F) to my Plantronics BT headset then the sounds from the phones speaker dissapears.
For example:
When I get a text message, it only sounds on the speaker of the BT headset.
This also happens when the phone is connected to wired headphones.
This used to work earlier. I didnt have this problem on Android 8 (Oreo). I didnt have the problem even when updating to Android 9 (Pie). This started when I today decided to factory reset my phone.
When it was working I could hear the sound from my phones speaker and also from my Bluetooth headset!
I have found a website where several users is having the same issue on different phones:
https:// us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S9/No-text-message-sound-when-Bluetooth-headset-is-connected/td-p/463471
(PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ADDRESS ABOVE HAS A SPACE BETWEEN "https://" AND THE REST OF THE ADDRESS)
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this issue? Or any idea what to try?
Why do you want your phone to make noise when you have your headset on??
Anyway, I think that through Advanced Sound Settings you can designate apps to send there sound to phone.

Because this is how the device normally works and is intended to work.
But I can give you an example:
Say that I have my Plantronics BT Headset connected to my phone and I´m not wearing it at the moment when I get an SMS, E-mail or something else that generates a notification sound. If the phone doesnt make any sound then I´ll miss that/these notifications. This also applies for any 3,5 mm wired devices that are connected to my phone.
This has always worked fine before on Android 8 (Oreo) and worked also fine on Android 9 (Pie) until yesterday when I made a factory reset on my Note 8.
I first believed that something was wrong with my phone, but now I know that there are several other user with the exact same issue. And this is not only an issue for Note 8, there are other users with S9 and S10 with the same problem.
I have tried the Advanced Sound settings you mentioned above, it doesnt work either!
Clear bluetooth settings, will delete all devices and reset bluetooth connections.
In All Apps, show System and find bluetooth or and bluetooth share, delete cache and data, reboot.
Note the on android pie there is issues with the bluetooth codecs and still no patch from sammy.

Tried it!
It didnt help ...
This is not just a Bluetooth issue, the same thing happens when I connect wired headphones to my phones 3,5mm jack
There is also a setting in Soundassistant App, advanced setting to direct the notification sounds and ringtones to headphones. Do you have that setting unchecked?
On my N950U1 running Pie beta #3 it all works as expected...
It's unchecked

I figured out a fix!!!
Go to Settings>Sounds and Vibrations>Advanced Sound Settings>Seperate App Sound
Turn the switch to the "On" position
Click on "App" and choose your messenger app and any other app you want to be heard through the phone.
Backup to the previous screen and press "Audio Device"
Choose "Phone"
You should be all set. You will now play your message/ phone sounds through your phone without losing audio through your Bluetooth device!
Hi all,
Would like to check if there is any way of installing APTX-HD on rooted note 9?
I've tried multiple methods including APTX for Android Oreo & Pie from Magisk.
May i know if anybody has gotten it to work?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you very much!
Current ROM: The Galaxy Project Ver 1.7.0

From what i heard APTX-HD will not work correctly on a Note 9! As it needs to send tons of bluetooth packets it will skip cut out etc, that's why the devs did not include it! LDAC is the best, stick with that codec!

I have several apt-x HD supported devices and I never got it to work. LDAC support is fantastic, as is standard APT-X.
Using sony WH-1000xm2 when selecting SBC, AAC, APT-X or LDAC from developer options will briefly stop the sound whilst it jumps to that codec, no such luck with APT-X HD. I don't believe that the codec is actually implemented on the Note9.
AptX-HD was supported on the Oreo version of the Note9.
I have two Level Pro headphones and after the Android Pie update lost the UHQ audio function from the Level app.
If you looked, you got LDAC and SBC, no AptX or HD.
Then I submit a bug report and they only brought back AptX on the latest version.
I think Samsung it's just trying to push their new Buds as the Level brand is being discounted in many markets.
Also Video Pro Mode was available on the Note9 and removed on the Pie update.
Now I can add my wife had the S8 Plus and she lost the UHQ audio from her Level app.
She went back to Apple at this time as they have better codec support.
Personally I am planning to get the Xperia that has 4K screen and yes, a long list of audio codecs and features.
Samsung keeps playing games, Qualcomm still supports Apt LL and HD, the hardware supports it but it is Samsung decision to remove it.
What's happening with aptx support in Android 10?
When Samsung removed AptX in Android Pie, I send an actual bug report with their support team, it was a pain, because they ask you to reset it then jump hoops.
At the end, they acknowledged that AptX should be "At least supported" because their line of Level headphones run on AptX and AptX HD.
Then I can say, with the next update, they added AptX to the list of supported codec.
Sony and many others are pushing LDAC for their headphones so probably just drop Samsung.

Are you saying that in Andoid 10 they have added AptX support to the Galaxy Note 9 again?
Are you sure?
If this is true, this is great news

I'm on a Sprint Note9(Snapdragon) UI. 2.0. Android 10.
The big difference is AptX supports 16Bit 48KHz and AptXhd support 24Bits also 48 KHz.
Here screenshots.
