Hey guys,
I've bought my Note 8 in Singapore and it currently has the 7.1.1 Nougat version (build ends with BRA8), with the SIN/SIN/XSP country code.
I would like to flash it to the Oreo version of ILO.
After a careful reading, I'm not sure if
(a) It should work.
(b) I will keep my Knox folder.
(c) I will need to used the modded "prince" version etc.
Can someone please help?
Thanks!

Hi specialists, is there any update for the rq0368e? In the support forum of autopumpkin the say the rq0368e they sell now with Android 5.1 is a different device than the rq0368e with 4.4 I have. So the have no update. Is there a way to get a newer version of android on my radio? If you need more information, please ask, I don't know what you need.
As the title says, how can I install the android 7 OTA on my P9 EVA L09C521B140? In the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-stock-rom-eva-l19c636b168-t3419586
I saw that the OTA for NXT-L09C521B140, it serves me the same? In what changes?
Thank you very much
I'm interested in this as well. I'm assuming you're interested in unbranding your phone as I am? Got it from a carrier, right?
If you find out anything regarding this please do let me know.

That post is old and it hasnt been updated it ages, if you want to know the latest firmware for your C521, best to download an app called Firmware Finder and check in there, B361 is the official released Android 7 firmware.

Hi, thanks for replying.
This is only the second day I have this new phone. I got it from my carrier so it has their brand at boot, the crappy bloatware they tend to put etc.
What I would like to do (at least until the devs manage to release a stable CM version for the phone) I'd like to get the OFFICIAL stock rom (unbranded, like bought from a store)
Could you point me somewhere where I could find how to do it, where to start etc? I'm all for learning myself but a start-point would be nice.
If I'm not mistaken, the model is EVA-L09 so C521 would be the variant? and B140 the firmware version, correct? And what's with the "cust" version at the bottom? carriers firmware?
Also, I've been reading and apparently NOUGAT is still in beta for these phones? So I guess I'd like to update to latest MM, and then update whenever they decide to release OTA.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT* TL;DR, Basically, I want to unbrand the phone. Remove my carriers bloatware. Just like a store bought phone.

If you look through the guide section of this forum, you will find what you been looking for. If you are looking at debranding and getting on to Nougat, you can follow this guide. Also, Nougat (EMUI 5.0) is now being officially rolling out but at a very slow pace.

If you mean you want to change N960A to N960F, the short answer is no.
Among other major differences, one is Snapdragon while the other is Exynos.

so here's the solution:
it involves searching and reading.
download the latest att firmware for your device.
you can use web sites or sam firm tool 0.3.6 to retrieve the correct firmware file that matches your device.
extrac zip and flash all components, put your device in downlaod mode and flash using odin 3.13.1 or 3.13.3 application. you will need samsung android drivers installed prior.
now the search and reading part comes here.
This is why I have spent less time on XDA. Someone comes in with a question and is ridiculed. Some members are so full of themselves. I'm a long time member and it's gets worse every day. SMH

I have PIE with boot-loader version: N950USQS5DSF5 and am running off an inexpensive AT&T based carrier (Freeup).
My primary goal is to use an unlocked carrier agnostic PIE version that will support AT&Ts bands. I heard non-carrier version might support all bands but im not sure. I believe its the "XAA" versions i looking for but im not really sure at all.
1. Is there a list of Pie versions i can refer to?
2. Is it trial and error to find one that works with a specific bootloader?
3. If there is multiple locations to download firmwares from, are some not so safe?
Thanks for any help
Hello everyone I live in th u.s. and use my a71 on att. I bought my phone at rent a center and it has buc1 firmware and the csc is TTT (Trinidad and tobago). I would like to install a custom rom because I recently rooted and the smartview feature which I use often isn't working right and none of the fixes are either. My question is this: which firmware should I install to get a clean slate and possibly try a custom rom? Not sure why a phone in the US was sold with Trinidad firmware. I would prefer not to flash the stock ttt firmware if possible is there a better option? Thanks guys
hi friend, I have been almost in same situation (different country) and i would like to share with you my experience maybe it will help if you are still looking. some options / features included in the ROM / OS depend on where the device was sold or aimed to be sold initially by Samsung, for example 2 phones same model, same tech specs, same android version, if one is old in Europe with a certain firmware, it may not have same all options / features as same one sold in US or elsewhere .... i bought a device sold initially in Italy and couldn't find samsung pay or fm radio app in it (even that device does support it from hardware side) and not possible to install it as third-partie app either in anyway possible, and it didnt show up even with a custom ROM .... so i did some dig in and found THAILAND firmware for same android version have it by default + others things i was looking for such as native call recording .... basically long story short, as longer you already rooted it, we can forget about warranty, which should gives you more freedom to install wharever you want ... a custom rom is specially to enhance perf by removing some apps and adding some more features that arents includeed in stock firmware ... but if you are okay with basic stock firmware and all its apps and contenents you don't have to install ncessarry a custom rom ... you can juts look for a specific firmware REGION/COUNTRY that have the option you are looking for and go fo it, like i did from Italy to Thailand (while im living in whole different country of those two), and all will be working fine for you ^^
