Oneplus 3T app preview
I try to edit the same photo at Capture One.
contrast +19
light:+9
Saturation:-3
I like the highlight at its face of Oneplus version. It looks just exactly right.May be my skill is not good enough so when I saw the result Oneplus show, i'm shock!
Other issue, it's not as good as the preview one when I share it.
What i saw in the app:
Share version (use the share button)
other Sample:

It probably reads the camera profile. Probably something from sony could read it as well. And the vibrancy of the display may have affected how the image looks.

i uploaded the screenshoot. It's not about the screen and you can see the huge different between the two samples. I try it at Oneplus 5T and it came out the same good result.
Oneplus seems not just convert the raw but edit it very well.
The problem is it just a preview and not allow to output a full res file.

Open the raw file in camera raw (photoshop).
Make the shadows a little bit darker.
Little bit more contrast.
More saturation
sharp the image
and then you have the better image as on the oneplus

Yes you re right. If I spent more time i can finish it at lightroom. But Oneplus is the only one I used before can make that auto.

Catch the full story here.
Update: Its 4096p videos not 4000p.
they still look horrible compared to a normal hd movie; they really should have increased the bitrate instead of resolution
They are improving as of late though. I like their leanback feature too. http://www.youtube.com/leanback

Yeah have youtube leanback feature is also awesome : http://www.techit.in/youtube-launched-leanback/
Not sure about having a 25' screen for the 4000p But, googles leanback feature is very cool
Nice ladies galaxys!!
next time you better invite me
It isn't 4000p. The resolution is 4096*2304 at 24fps. Therefore, it is 2304p.
Its like calling 1080p video 1920p.

the logic doesn't apply to this resolution. youtube have come out with the resolution that is not yet properly defined. but it is progressive. if u make a good search, u'll find it's defined in 4096p and not taken the logic of height..
in fact, this resolution is completely different, its not wqhd, wfhd... no it's completely something else..
This resolution is called 4K (meaning you need 4 HDTV, each 1080p to watch this ). The area is 4 times larger as the sides are 2 times larger than full HD.
Personally I think it is BS. First of all you need expensive cameras like RED ONE to record videos. Second you need 4K display which are rare and also expensive. And most importantly the quality because of compression is not great.

[Q] Possible to abandon UltraPixels boosting the camera resolution of HTC One?

I have got the HTC One from the end of May. But I still have some questions on my phone's "UltraPixels" Camera.
I wonder whether this technology is a software adjustment or a hardware settings?
4 MegaPixels should be all right for daily usage, but I always like to pinch to zoom my photos while browsing.
HTC One failed to reveal some details in the picture comparing to Samsung GS4 or Sony Xperia Z. I want to ask if it is possible to abandon the UltraPixels technology to boost the camera resolution to 8MP or even 13MP? Any app can do it?
Attaching my photo taken using ultraPixel HTC One at Hong Kong IFC Centre!

Lol... I want what he's smoking
I want to make my 4 cylinder into a v8

I believe it's hardcoded into the sensor that it only uses 4 mp for the image, while the rest of the pixels on the sensor used solely for exposure and gathering light

The phone only has 4 megapixels
They are larger than your regular phone megapixels, there isn't separate sensors for gathering light since that's how all camera work in the first place.
So to the OP, no.. Do some research on how these things work. Really.

You need to learn how to take pictures with the One because the pictures you have posted are terrible quality and the first is washed out. You're always best to focus on the sky and underexpose the rest of the shot and then edit in Photoshop or something because the quality of pictures I've taken are way, way, way better than them lol

Ridiculous imaging experience, how to fix?

I hate my SP's camera. Picture looks ridiculous when i zoom any picture that taken from my SP.
Now feeling jealous to see a lot of sample image captured from SP. Like, check this thread- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2755010
Can anyone please tell me how can i fix that issue or improve camera quality, currently i'm using eXistenz Ultra 3.3.0 ROM & Xperia M Camera Mod by niaboc79.
I use manual mode to take that image on below, please zoom in this photo to see how Ridiculous that is-

I know optical zoom is better rather than digital zoom.
Check this(taken from my phone)- http://www.arif-khan.net/xda/sample.JPG
& also this(taken from another SP)- http://www.arif-khan.net/xda/DSC_0811.jpg
Check quality, Zoom-in etc you can feel the difference.
But is it the phone or the rom?
Could try this Xperia M cam port by dipesh, to see whether any difference..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701096
Seems like having better focus than stock.. one problem though: FC when manually setting iso.
Better keep a cwm backup if you're gonna try this.. I don't know whether it works on existenz rom.

Note 5 camera?

Has anyone pulled the .apk and gotten it to work? I just want manual shutter. Picked up the S6a just for battery, almost got the N5 just for manual mode.
I could have sworn the S6 allowed for a "pro" more controlled experience. Is Manual exposure not anywhere; I recently just got my S6 back from repair so I haven't had much hands on use. I'll go ahead and check myself, but I could have sworn that it was advertised.
Also, I think this goes along more in the Help/Q&A section, but I could always be wrong
Exposure you are correct, I'm referring to shutter. You can have up to a 10 second shutter on the N5 which would be badass.
When I was posting on the Q&A, it said that only answers could be posted... I wouldn't mind a discussion also.
Is exposure different from shutter?
Yep... I might want a long shutter with a small aperture vs short shutter with a wide open aperture, the exposure could end up being very similar but very different effects.
Ah! I'm not an avid photographer frankly (I'm sure it will show). I did indeed look around, and yeah you're right no noticeable shutter control. I'll hang around the N5's section. From my memory, someone was able to port N5's functions over to the S6 over here on XDA or over at Reddit. For the apk though, we would need a rooted N5 or OTA file to extract it from likely. If they share similar API's, getting it to work shouldn't be impossible.
I supposed the timer is something entirely different from what you want. I just noticed it and saw the option to set for 10 seconds, but thought I'd ask.
These are a couple examples of what can be done with REALLY long shutter:

Fantastic looking! Looks like there was a system dump for the N5. I could look into extracting what I need from that, but haven't looked into it in detail - yet. Will get to it later when the day settles down.

Lens flare

Well, it seems that not only the Pixel suffers from lens flare...
Today I tried my op3t camera for the first time in low light condition and... the flare is there.
I'm attaching a picture, you can clearly see the 5 spots on the left of the lamp.
Does it do the same to you? As far as I understand it's a common problem between cameras.
Any way to avoid, or at least reduce it?
Thanks

There are some camera apps (like DSLR) where you can change the ISO, most of the time when you change to a high ISO value the flare would be less seen

Just tried it and it works. The thing that bothers me is that everytime there is an artificial light there is a flare...
I'm not an expert here but I think a lot of phones exhibit this. My wife's s6 edge plus has weird light retractions in low light.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
Yes. Most phones have it. It largely has to do with the lens attached to the phone. I've had more success on phones such as the Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra. Use such phones and go into manual mode. In all cases I was able to eliminate the lens flare. Too bad I had to switch to the 3T which is a better phone but poor shooter. Can't find a way to eliminate it there yet.
You captured a UFO! No way! Lol. Anyways my experience with low light conditions has been great. This is at a party. So clear I can zoom in to the musicians faces clearly absolutely 0 editing. With Snapseed I can lower the brightness of the lights overhead
