Mi mix fingerprint sensor disappeared from settings - Xiaomi Mi MIX Questions & Answers

Hello guys I'm new here and I have a problem with my xiaomi mi mix fingerprint sensor
I lovey Xiaomi Mi Mix ..
So basically I purchased a new fingerprint sensor cable from China yesterday and install it to the phone baord
And i just took this phone from my brother I don't know if he update the device manually but it's on the latest version miui global 9
Bootloader unlocked
So as I purchased the part of sensor cable and install it to my device the fingerprint option disappeared from settings I didn't notice if it's was there before because the screen was broken
So the question is I don't know if it's a software error or a hardware error
Thanks :crying:

Happened to me once but not because I changed the sensor, it was a software problem, just clean flash MIUI again and it will appear again.

It's most probably because of firmware. When I flashed a very old firmware while using a recent rom; Finger print sensor settings etc have disappeared, flashing a recent FW's fixed it.

Thanks guys for the reply but already tried to downgrade from miui global 9 to miui 8 but didn't work either ??

Yes, im a Chinese variant using global and I always flash full ROM update from TWRP or the built-in internal ROM updater. I don't use the miui computer software updater app, because too easy for accidental clean and lock causing brick by locking bootloader.
hi guys, I ordered Mi8 128gb from geekbuying couple weeks ago, phone will come in few days

K20 pro ROM on Mi 9t Pro

Hello everyone, sorry for my english, I bought a mi 9t pro from second hand and it seems that the previous owner installed a k20 pro rom on it, I know this because on the back has the MI logo and not the redmi, and because the 4G band works fine on my country, but it sets Redmi on boot logo, on device name, and some other places. So I wanted to know if I can install back the mi 9t rom even if im on miui 11 android 10.
I'm still waiting the 7 days to unlock bootloader so no rush for me.

Yes you can, download the appropriate fastboot ROM and flash it with flashtool. Make sure you check on CLEAN ALL and not CLEAN ALL AND LOCK

I don't think u have same phone..maybe your friend have mi 9t (not pro). On mi 9t pro every rom RU/EU/MI have google dialer, only china and india variant have miui dialer. Since your friend is on MI (global) version and have mi dialer its a non pro version mi 9t.
The only way u can get MiUi dialer is to flash Indian version rom but u will lose nfc feature. Also on your model u can lock bootloader without brick if u flash EU/MI/IN/RU official rom.

Converted Mi A2 - problem with sensors and camera

Hi
I wanted miui on my A2 so I've tried Nebrassy ROM https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2/development/rom-miui-10-t3933715 but camera wasn't working.
Then I converted my Mi A2 to 6X with this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2/how-to/guide-convert-mi-a2-to-mi-6x-t3896802 but camera still was not working so I've triggered ARB 4 with 6X MIUI ROM but camera app still was just black and I noticed that sensors like accelerometer didn't work either.
I found this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2/how-to/how-to-fix-sensors-camera-stock-pie-10-t3914885 but it didn't help...
I've tried xiaomi.eu roms, pixel expierence (camera was working but sensors not), china 6X MIUI rom - nothing works
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, can someone help me?
If ARB allows you to do so you better convert back to Mi A2 and Test sensors etc on Stock ROM, also all the drivers and stuff related to sensors and camera are stored in vendor partition so check that for possible corruption.

Question Can I install MIUI eu ROM on Indian variant of Redmi note 10 Pro(sweetin)

The Redmi Note 10 Pro(Indian)(sweetin) has the same specs as the Redmi Note 10 Pro (global) except for the camera which is a 64MP sensor. I want to install to install MIUI EU ROM from the xiaomi.eu website. The model listed in the website has the codename 'sweet' which refers to the global edition with the 108MP. Most blogs and youtube videos with instruction to install the ROM for my model direct me to the official link of the xiaomi.eu webiste which is for the 108MP edition. I want to confirm that there won't be any major errors after installing the ROM. https://m.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_note_10_pro_(india)-10771.php
ROM link

As some users mentioned already in this forum you probably will have some problems with the camera colours ...
"If you have the Redmi Note 10 Pro (Indian variant with 64 MP) and you flash a non-Indian MIUI ROM, such as EU,MMX,Global,EEA etc, you will experience a green/blue tint in the camera. Flash this magisk module to remove the tint.

Hi, have an Indian Redmi Note 10 Pro Max (with sweetin ROM). Recently I flashed the Indonesian version (sweet ROM Version 12.5.4) and past 10 days it is working well. I did not lock the bootloader after flashing. Now that the Indonesian ROM is working fine on my phone, can I reflash the Indonesian ROM and lock the bootloader (clean all & lock option) ? Pls let me know if it is safe to do so. Btw I used the MI Flash tool to do all this after unlocking it with Mi Unlocker tool. Downloaded the Indonesian ROM from XiaomiFirmwareUpdater Site.
