Linage 15.1 for S9 and S9+ - Samsung Galaxy S9 Guides, News, & Discussion

Linage 15.1 is supposed to be linked to S9 and S9+ on XDA soon, but it is available on the link below.
You have to go down to find the S9, but its there - already downloaded it but have not tried it. Someone set up a thread in his own name, which was shut down, but would think this is OK, as it is publically available below. The download page clearly credits Jesse Chan.

Nice to see some development for snapdragon version. To have a dual speaker and a fully working gcam port would make this room a daily use material.

it cant. Snapdragon from Mexico and asia? can unlocked. Ive had my samsung s9 canada version (960w) for over a month.
Even if snapdragon US/CAN could unlock you still need oem unlock to show up in dev settings. I believe it changes state after 168h of the device on, "oem unlock" would show up in dev settings. However I'm at 174h and nothing has shown up. of course this doesn't matter because i wouldn't be able to flash anything.
I upgraded my phone from HTC 10 which had ex kernel, audio mod, custom os. Now moving to this S9 it feels like a downgrade

Regarding Custom ROMs for Galaxy M21

Hello everyone
I got M21 couple months ago, and finally decided to check out how Custom ROMs would look for it.
Firstly I checked other M series phones for at least somewhat same spec model as M21. After little research, it seems like M30s basically has same SoC, RAM and Storage as M21. Checking M30s forums, seems like it already got Beta version of LineageOS 18.1 (Android 11). I tried getting it to run (deleted checking for device model in binary) and seems like it's impossible for now, but I believe it is possible with M21 blobs extracted.
Here's M21 and M30s compared
And here you will found M30s LineageOS 18.1 thread
What are you thoughts on that? Feel free to comment, or if you have an idea on how to get it working let us know!

Current ROMs for Moto G5S Plus as of July 2022

Hey everyone,
It seems very unfortunate but the Moto G5S Plus age is advancing as lots of developers have been dropping support for it.
Most ROMs i've found are now with development or builds halted (unmaintained, deprecated or discontinued) for the G5S Plus, or even in some cases, ROM was abandoned all together.
This can be seen on this forum where i've marked 12 different ROMs/topics as such.
The ones found here: https://theandroidlab.com/best-custom-roms-for-moto-g5s-plus/
Are as well in the same state (most have been posted in this forum).
Here's what I have found to be the most updated:

Thanks for cleaning up and posting links to the few remaining ROMs in active development.
You may wish to correct the Arrow info; latest stable build was late June.
It is indeed sad that so many contributors have left the G5S+ building. Maybe this makes diehard fans appreciate the few remaining even more, especially since the phone still works great.
My sense is that this phone's owners would like to have some of the old favorites, such as crD or RR, but given the entire situation, we're grateful for any ROMs available!
never put a custom rom on my smartphone was first time I put tried the crdroid already talked about is good more manage to install it gets in infinite loop on my g5s plus sanders only manage to install arrowos hopefully leave some day 12.1 for sanders if someone update it of course

Thank you for this thread. I hope developers will keep Sanders going. After seeing this thread I flashed my first custom ROM ever--the Arrow 11 release. Seems to be working well, and as a bonus, it allows me to use ATT networks, which had been impossible to use with the 3G shutdown. I was going to use the newest update, but it seems that kniffte had problems with it.

true, but at least I keep using it. And the problem I'm facing is related to one specific app (the Munich local transport company's) - anything else works (okok, camera is blocked at lot).

Btw. I just updated my build to the August 2022 security updates. The September 2022 updates have been integrated now also, but I won't have time to build it the first round before Monday (Wiesn, you know?).

You can also update to my today's version including the October 2022 updates. Safenet and service provider changes will be included in the next release in November: https://arrowos-download.de/

Looking for LineageOS19.1

Huh, what do you mean ?
The link in the video description is https://download.lineageos.org/devices/redfin/builds
which takes you to the latest build, which is no longer 19.1 but 20.0.
Anyway, this is no longer an issue as I found a build of 18.1 that fits my needs better.
Thanks
