I changed my email notification tone to one I regularly use. On what seems to be regular random occasions, the tone is changed back to the default Huawei tone and vibrating when I get an email message is shut off. I then have to manually change the tone/vibration settings back again. Any idea why/how to fix? Same problem on my P20 Pro and Mate 10 both running EMUI 8.1

I have a brand new OnePlus 3T, I've changed the notification sounds on the Whatsapp App to my custom sounds. The problem is that whenever I recieve a message I get the default notification sound from the phone NOT the sound I have chosen for Whatsapp. Curiously enough this doesn't happen with messages from groups in Whatsapp, or in other e-mail or messaging apps.
I've tried other sounds, formats and folders and it won't work. For some reason the Default Notification Sound has more priority than the Whatsapp Notification Sound.
Since Whatsapp wouldn't work, I tried to change the Default Notification Sound so it will be the same as my Whataspp Notification Sound. BUT OnePlus 3T doesn't allow you to add new Notification sounds (You can add Ringtones and Alarms).
Help? Thanks!
It also happens with whatsapp Phone Calls. The ringtone is the Default Notification Tone (not even the Default Ringtone). And again, this doesn't happen with Group Chats (which makes this even weirder).
-FIXED-
There was an option to Reset Notification Settings inside Whatsapp, and then it worked. Apparently it was an issue with the Whatsapp Backup I did from my old Smartphone to the OnePlus 3T.
Missed call notifications are displayed with 5 min delay. All other notifications are displayed on time. Exmaple - I'm working on my desk and I'm receiving a call. I'm not picking up the phone. After ringing there is no notification. After 5 minutes the phone lights up with the notification.
It happen from .173 update and I have updated to .190 before few days but still that behavior continue. I have checked notification settings, power management... everything.
I have tried Google Dialer app for alternative and there is no problem with it, but Huawei dialer has many more useful features.
Anyone have the same problem and any ideas how to fix it?
Looks like a mess up the place of this thread. Please delete it or move to Q&A. Thank you!
I am looking for a solution for notifications in my application.
The notification begins and ends at a specific time, e.g. start: 8:00, end 12:00. In the meantime, the application sends a notification every 30 minutes. Any solutions?
Hi
You can go through the settings option. Sometimes the problem is of default which we forget to change. May be the application setting the default notification setting is of 30 min.
I got my Note 9 about five montsh ago and it has several strange issues that I never had on phones that weren't nearly as good. Here are some of the issues (I'd appreciate any help):
1. The ringtones, notifications, and alerts go off on top of each other and also while I'm talking on the phone or have the text application opened. I'm texting someone and they text me and the notification sound will go off though I have the text open. Or notifications and alerts will overlap: a text comes through and while it's notifying me, another text (same or different person) comes through and the notification goes off. Or two emails (same or different email accounts) come in back to back and their notifications will overlap.
2. The ringtones and alerts will suddenly go silent. I often restart my phone when this happens which might fix it for a while but then it's back to doing the same thing. Either the notifications completely go silent (I think it might at least vibrate but I don't remember) or they get quieter than the volume I set them to. Also, sometimes the notifications will simply start working off the media volume rather than the notification volume. I mean, wth.
3. There's a pause or freeze sometimes, like with some text functions (eg. changing individual notifications or opening options for individual text chats).
4. I have seven 'home screens' with widgets rather than just one, but when my phone starts up, it starts on one of the screens and not on my actual (main) home screen. No idea why.
I use distinct notification sounds (as well as ringtones) for 5 of my contacts. Remaining all contacts use default notification sound and Ring tone. Every thing was working fine till yesterday when I changed the default notification sound and default ringtone of my device. After that the specific notification sounds were changed whereas the specific ringtones continued working fine.
PROBLEM : Now when I try setting distinct notification sound of any of those 5 contacts it changes the sound but set the same for all five contacts. The specific notification sound set latest for any of contact become the notification for all contacts with specific notification sounds. Contacts set for default notification sound keeps working as desired.
I searched for the problem on internet and as per the guidance I deleted the data of messages app. That did not delete my messages as claimed but reset notification sound of all contacts as default. However when I set the distinct notification sound for those 5 contacts the problem persisted as before ... that is ... The specific notification sound set latest for any of contact become the notification for all contacts with specific notification sounds. Contacts set for default notification sound keeps working as desired.
I have been using this feature on android phones for many years but never encountered such problem .... Please suggest a solution !
